Thoughts:

On my feet for ~8 hours prior to this session. And I lifted great. Goes to show you never know what you got in ya til you start lifting.

Front squat moved fast. Could have doubled it I think.

I don't know how to do sumo and haven't done anything g above 225 for some singles about a year ago. So I have no idea what to expect. Ended up pulling 5 plates, not bad lol. Was a grind though. It's weird though, I don't feel anywhere near as taxed, physically or mentally, as I would from a conventional grinder.

Gym was closing so I hit a quick superset and bounced.

Comments and critiques welcomed, as always.

Stay strong AM.

FS was fast as hell. Nice.

Can't comment on sumo, I don't know jack. Looked rough tho.

Thanks, reg! The FS moved much faster than I expected.

And yeah, idk jack either. Gonna stick with conventional and just play around with sumo as an accessory. 405 flew up much faster than I've ever pulled conventional so I said screw it and worked up to 5 plates.

Hey if your feeling it why not work up that's sorta how we run things on the weekends

You made the front squat look way to easy for the volume of weight! The Sumo looked fine to me. I get a little deeper when I do them but that's because I have to keep my back more vertical. Strong lifts L&S!

And yeah, I'll definitely have to play with my form. Not ideal

Thanks, sean. I'll work it in when I can. I do notice the bar got away from me off the ground.

Would it be strange if I hit a 4 plate front squat before I hit a 5 plate back squat? Lol

Nice PRs man. Very strong. The sumo was like a hybrid looking one...kinda like how Coan pulled.

Front squat was great. Sumo looked good once you corrected your ribcage positioning and pulled the bar into your hips.

Thanks, rodja. I may have you take a look at some more of my sumo pulls in the future...I'll undoubtedly need some help down the road.

All looked good. It was amazing How upright you stayed throughout the front squat. Looked fantastic. Sumo the weight corrected your positioning. Practice would have you setting up there and pulling more weight with less wasted motion. Then you can diagnose what to improve. I'm jealous of you guys that nail big weights sumo right off the bat.

Thanks, dude. For whatever reason, I've never had trouble staying upright with any type of squat. If I miss, it's usually just a weight I'm flat out not strong enough to lift yet...if that makes sense.

As far as sumo, I'm looking forward to playing with it.

So I'm down 7lbs in a week of eating 3200-3400 calories a day.
You're in the zone! As long as strength doesn't drop its a beautiful thing! If you feel any strength decrease at all then increase cals.

Thanks, Turf. Yep, I feel great hitting PRs yesterday and waking up today leaner than I've been in awhile. I may bump to 3500-3600 calories if I keep dropping too fast.

>calories = PRs. :)

Fckin strong "deload"

I've broken through the mental barrier of the 4th wheel. It no longer takes any psyche-up. It's by no means lightening fast, but it's easy.

I don't plan on going above 405 on deadlifts for some singles on Thursday and OHP is whatever.

Saturday I'll dial back the volume and intensity even further, not going above 315 on squat and 225 on bench. Only 3 days this week...going to be so hard to stay out of the gym.
