Was coaching a swim meet for the club team I work for today. Gym was closed by the time I got home. Boo. Only planned on hitting up a light pump session anyway so I made due with the dumbbells I have at home.

The last thing I need is more pressing haha. And save the money, just hit the gym harder. Unless you plan on going full home gym mode

I would love to have a home gym. Next year bp/husky is having a total plant shutdown for 90 days going to be a money maker maybe then I'll buy some used stuff

Thoughts:
Well, clumsy me fell out of my chair at work...backside is a little tender. Which id be cool with but it hurt to bend over and made me favor one side on my pulls today. If you watch the tape you can tell. It's a PR, but I'm a little disappointed because I knew I had more in me...just didn't want to risk it. Oh well.

Presses were great. I really think this sub max work pays off.

Thanks, man. Us young guys never know when to stop lol. Working on it though
 
I barely get any sleep during the week, and if I just try and "catch up" on Saturday and sleep more than 8 I feel rundown all day.
 
The only stims I use are 1 packet of crystal light with caffeine (120mg) around 12pm every day. Thinking of drinking another one around 3-4pm.

I don't use many stims either.

Just my coffee at 0330, then STIMUL8 and IGNITE2 at 0400.

And usually another 200mg caffeine for my EC at 0900.

...always a cup of cold coffee with protein powder at 2pm.

...and sometimes, like today, another EC dose at 1500.

Coffee is a must in the AM. Sometimes a cup, sometimes three.

There are times I've gone without any, and although I don't feel "normal" as fast, after I am awake I don't feel abnormal.

The added caffeine through the day is only M-F, and even then I go a few weeks without, every now and then.
 
Some nights I sleep 4-5 hours some I sleep 8 hours.. Some of my best lifts are after 5 hours sleep and a 12 hour work day lol. Caffeine wise I just drink my pre workout. I do work with guys that take 3 cups of coffee to just move though.
 
I drink one cup on the drive to work but I do take a bunch of caffeine tabs during the day but I think the effects have worn off on me
 
Lol the video is meant to be a joke. I watch his channel for it's training/nutritional advice, but the videos he drops that critique the fitness world are always a good laugh

Was watching a video earlier where Jeremy Hamilton (almost 2000lb raw/no knee wraps totaler @220) was talking about consistency. Said it took him 7 years of dedicated strength training to reach his first 400lb bench (he now benches 507). This makes me feel good. I'm from the "want to be strong NOW" generation and hearing these types of things keeps it all in perspective.

Remember, Hoff and Lilliebridge are the young phenoms, but Hoff started training at Westside at 14 and the Lilliebridges started training with their dad at about the same time. So not only have they been in it for ten years, but they had world class coaching from day 1.

Yep yep. You guys are my coaches haha. And honestly, I'd say my "real" training age (adjusting for stupidity) is still less than a year.

Apple flavor stimul8 and vanilla whey, tried and tested.

Really good!!

Just used the last of my vanilla this morning; only have chocolate left. Still not certain I could brave that.

Thoughts:
Solid training session. Squats were smooth, all well below depth. Bench was great. Hit up 295 for a new 3RM. Then hit 315 (ties 1RM) and it just flew up. 335 is mine in week 20.

Down sets on bench and the assistance work left me pumped as hell. Gettin' swole over here.
