Sounds like a plan. I got married instead. My goal is to have my own home gym similar to that when I own a house with shelf full of supps, mainly pre workouts plus a glass fridge full of RTD's and such. Maybe a vintage arcade game machine , as well.
I'm married. My wife just trains with me.Sounds like a plan. I got married instead.

I'm not sure , but I definitely am not relying on corporate businesses , gyms , etc. This has really made me aware that it's good to always be prepared and plan ahead for the future. DIY is always the bestProbably going to cancel my gym membership after this. Only needed a pandemic to finally get the home gym I've been wanting. Thanks corona lol Just need a bunch more 45lb plates so I can do heavy deads again.
Anyone else cancelling their gym membership after this?
Ah, I see your mistake lol.Sounds like a plan. We had kids instead.
The same level of peak/optimal muscularity in the long-term, over years? Not quite. For practical purposes in terms of progress made for non-elite athletes/physique competitors/bodybuilders over a few months? Yes. With perhaps the exception of legs, which will be harder to work without the ability to do squats and/or deadlifts, although there are still ways to hit legs. You guys think it is possible to achieve the same level of muscularity with just adjustable dumbbells that max at a total 200 pounds combined and an adjustable bench as one could achieve at a gym?
I'd say until your doing 20+reps on any given exercise with those 200lbs your going to make progressYou guys think it is possible to achieve the same level of muscularity with just adjustable dumbbells that max at a total 200 pounds combined and an adjustable bench as one could achieve at a gym?

Upgraded recently (before all this COVID-19 craziness) and got myself a squat rack. Just in time to keep the workouts going!Man, some of you have great set ups! I'm jealous. Still working on accumulating equipment, but here's what I've got. Enough to get it done.
Nice! How do you like those dumbbells?Upgraded recently (before all this COVID-19 craziness) and got myself a squat rack. Just in time to keep the workouts going!

Well, the good news is that I can hang them from my barbell to increase weight at home. The downside is that because it's essentially a 4 sided cage around the handle, I can't really do certain movements like overhead triceps extensions or DB pullovers. Overall though I like them for the space saving and relatively quick change out of the weight.Nice! How do you like those dumbbells?
Interesting. Can you not hold the outside-support-bar-things for those exercises?Well, the good news is that I can hang them from my barbell to increase weight at home. Sort of, it's a bit awkward. And the more you stack on the outside in terms of adding weight plates, the less room you have to fit your hands in and grab the outside bars. But again, all in all it was definitely a worthwhile purchase for me as I've been using now for a few years.Interesting. Can you not hold the outside-support-bar-things for those exercises?
It's amazing. So glad we made our investment when we did.. looked up the same cage rack and they jacked the price up so much.. crazyprettymakopaws
