LE Officers and AAS

I would like comments and opinions from LE Officers in regards to AAS usage. Any concerns regarding drug testing and how side effects may affect job performance. I would like this not to become a flamming pit for the anti-LE crowd.

I'm no LE officer but I'd say you're fine as long as you don't do something stupid that would put the dept. in a position to test you. I'd rather have cops on juice then donuts.
 
As far as testing goes, it's typically just the major street drugs and not AAS at least for entry, and after that usually only if there is a reason for the test. As far as the side effects and job performance, it would likely be the same as using AAS in any other position.

On a side note to any officers here, what is your position on the juice in the eyes of the law?

As a LE guy I am pretty sure our dept doesn't test for AAS, only street/drugs of abuse. Besides, we just hired a guy that the majority of us knows juiced.
 
Just because random testing doesn't cover AAS doesn't mean they can't direct the test if they suspect use. You have to be careful with AAS in LE because if you catch the 'bug' of getting big you could end up hurting yourself over all if you drop too much endurance(just my opinion)

Then you have the whole debate of whether you should be using something that's illegal.
 
I agree, they can for example order a test for presciption drugs only. I don't know the cost of a AAS test but that may play a role in testing as well.
As for the legal/no legal thing that is a moral issue. I personally see nothing wrong with superdrol!!
