lactose intolerant...

i stole the idea from the squats and milk routine of drinking a jug of whole milk a day because an extra 2400 calories in my diet would be awesome for bulking and gaining strength. problem is i cant handle milk. i got a bottle of lactase pills and they dont really help much. they are like 250mg/pill. usually i can drink milk and within 10 min... in the bathroom. with this i got like 2 hours before i get cramps and im in the bathroom. is there any way to avoid all of this? regular milk is down to just under $2 now at walmart, but lactaid is $3.60 for a half gallon... this is too expensive

my major dietary problem is i cant get my protein in, milk has a ton of protein :-/

its such a chore to me to eat tuna or chicken

Lentils, beans etc have good protein. Some are 2:1 C:P, with half the carbs being fiber!

Also scarfing down a can of tuna isn't that hard; sorry but that doesn't cut it in my books. Strain it and put it in a ziploc container if you need to take it on the road, I've done it for years. Making your own meatloaf is also a great trick I do.

Get yourself some probiotic pills. Preferably one that has multiple bacteria strains and in the billions for bacteria count. These will definately help your lactose intolerance amongst other things. You will be able to pound milk or any other dairy product. I know, cus I'm lactose intolerant and now I dont even consider myself to be anymore.

I'm not sure about the calorie/protein content but (and I cringe at suggesting this) you can always try soy milk.

And tuna in oil is one of the greatest things God ever put on this earth.
