Keeping Up With The Yates': A Couple's Training Log

All this talk of cookies...

Slap some PB on top of those cookies and you'll forget all about the slow cooker.....for a few minutes.....or until the wife yells at you for eating cookies when she's got the slow cooker cooking slowly. Either way, a couple minutes of heaven.

I do that !!

Taking the thread back to it's R-rated roots? Lol.

Hey man, it's cool right now! I'm bulking and nothing is really off limits even though I've been keeping things pretty clean.

Glad I started when I did, test is kicking nicely! Weight and lifts are steadily going up.

Yessir!! PB on banana for breakfast, and having a sweet potato with PB for dinner LOL

There's plenty of gains to go around! You're off cycle? How long until you can jump on again?

Wednesday lower body hypertrophy

Squats
2×20 @ 135
2×10 @ 205
2×6 @ 255
5 @ 275
3 @ 315
2 @ 335

Hack squats
4×12 @ 4 plates

Lying leg curls
4×15 @ 90

Split squats
4×15 @ 40's

Seated calf raises
4×20 @ 2 plates

Back pumps were nasty, upped my taurine dose after this session. Never really fully recovered momentum after my squats. That's what I get for not keeping it a hypertrophy day. I'm very impressed with where my lifts are moving to, gotta keep it moving in the right direction.

^^ What is it with you & Wifey doing all those nasty squats?! That's mean mate, nice session. How'd the 2 rep feel?

Those split squats would have had me regurgitating my lunch after all of that! :tongue2:

On a separate note, I just landed a tub of Tr1umph. Thoughts on best timing for use? Finish my creatine loading & then switch to it? Run instead of Conquer or with? I notice a few ingredients doubling up between the 2. Currently running osta & will bridge into a PH cycle in about 2 weeks.

I love squats, would have done more if my back wasn't about to explode! Jump on that triumph right away! That PA will only help your situation out. Triumph is meant to be used with conqu3r so no worries about stacking the two. What ph you jumping on?

Yeah, my butt is so sore today!!

Wednesday leg day...

Squats
45x15x2

75x4

RDL's w/Db's
20x12x4

Split Squats w/Db's
15x10x4

Superset
Leg extensions
40x8x4
Lying Leg Curl

Nice work and hate those pumps, try upping your potassium as well as the taurine. The taurine makes it easier for the body to process potassium, but the pumps have something to do with the DS making it hard to process the potassium. Combining both will help with the pumps more than just taurine. I forgot exactly what the mechanism or reason is that it helps to be perfectly honest but trust me it makes a difference.

Using 6 grams of taurine every day, might up it a little, and a few bananas or sweet potatoes every day. Trying to keep things under control!

I like Booty !!

By the way this may surprise you but white potatoes actually have more potassium then sweet potatoes. I serving of white potato supplies 25% of daily potassium requirements while a serving of sweet only provides 16% isn't it crazy that everyone says sweet potatoes or high and no one talks about white potatoes being higher. I got that from an info-graphic from Precision Nutrition yesterday and it just so happened to apply here. Thought it was a neat little factoid most people probably don't know and I didn't realize. .
