Don't know why i didn't stick with my training plan, but somehow i decided i would suit up and do some sumo pulling tonight. My first time since he Dec 1 meet. Didn't go as I had hoped.

Deadlift -
Warmups then
595x2
665x2
705x0 just couldn't finish pulling hips through
665x1

bar speed was super slow off floor. I had a wider stance than i used at meet so that might have been throwing me off. Dunno. I'm definetly going to pull again over next few weeks. try some different stances as well as go back to conventional for one week as that is where most of my exp is at.

Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns
4 sets of 10

Glute Ham raise
BW x16x16

had things to do and i was pissing after missing a pull so i cut it short.

I was a total slacker this weekend. Little to no activity, no sled pulling, no stretching. The last two may have been a bad decision as my left hip had some shooting pains while standing a few times today and my left hamstring cramped on me while doing face pulls tonight.

Since I deadlifted Friday it left my plans open today so I decided to try the SSB for squatting

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pK8C3aQ_qSU"]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/nomedia]

SSB – 5” camber on 15deg
85x6x6

355x5
445x3 breifs on and loose belt
535x1
625x1 suit on – High
675x1 High
535x3 back to briefs

Those may have been high but they were all grinders trying to maintain that back position. Other than the two with the suit I was really happy with my depth.

SSB Good Mornings
315x5 ….to heavy
265x6 ….super deep with pristine form!

Glute-Ham Raise

Lots of work yet again.

Is it just me or are your knees going a little forward at the bottom of the squats? Is that a sign of the hamstrings loosening up?

That SSB really wants to throw your upper body forward. Probably a reaction to those forces i would assume. Still got some learning to do with that *****.

Sh*t, I didn't realize Kabukivision was back. Nice work.

don't tell me you missed my 606x11 squat vid with no knee wraps last week.:squat:

ART Therapy on Triceps

Sled Pulling
135lbs x12:45 120 steps forwad and 80 reverse

Got my new knee wraps today!

What kind of knee wraps? I've got a max sqat event for a strongman contest in March and maybe should look for some more powerful ones.

Make sure you wrap 'em real tight like in that one video where the guy can't stand up after failing a squat because his knees won't bend. That was hilarious.

Have you gotten to the R4W caps yet or are you still using the v 6.0 ?

i'm halfway through my last bottle. a friend ended up using the caps. Which is fine with me becasue it gives me an excuse now to order the new R4W caps!

i got the APT Convicts and APT Strangulators. I used the APT ZRV-Pro's in the past. I would recomend the ZRV-PRo's for a max rep type event or single lift. Great wrap with nice rebound. The convicts are more cast like wrap and anyone that is not familiar with this type of wrap will find it quit uncomfortable, painfull, but does provide great stopping power. The Strangulators are supposed to be somewhere in between.

felt uber 'crap'y today.

wasn't planning on training but changed my mind when i got home. wouldn't call it a workout by any means.

no roses to smell.

i see you've got some more time on your hands and been back on AM lately. i thought you got lost earlier.

Went to work this morning and stayed long enough to present a proposal to one of the company directors. Then went home sick and slept all afternoon.

Felt better and helped coach a lifter that made it over to squat. Even threw on 250lbs on a bar and did a couple sumo pulls before i decided that was a really bad idea.

Think i should be good by Monday.

yeah, I was on a break. I'm literally on a break now so what can you do.

Sorry to hear about the lack of roses. YOu struck me as a flower lover.

:D

HOpe you feel better soon buddy.

Shirt Work – 2board presses

That 620 went up so damn quick and clean but I didn’t have my belt on and my shirted slipped up when I threw the bar back so it messed up my following reps as I would have liked to hit it for a double or triple. Still pretty damned pleased with the ease of putting it up.

Just didn’t have that tear it up attitude today, only had one squat partner, and the weights felt heavy. Still got a decent workout in but didn’t push a huge amount of volume into workout.

I had more but even with the chain spotters I didn’t want to push it with only one spotter. Also very happy with depth achieved for the lighter weight. May not show in vid but the higher quality vid on my computer shows solid depth on all.

No doubt. I've heard that those suit things do all the work for you. I bet this guy squats about 4 wheels raw.

. ;)

i'm guessing around 800 as an opener for you next meet; whites all the way.

bands on the ghr now huh... :bruce3:

that's what I was thinking for an opener. I'll shoot for 800 for a tripple next week to feel it out.

the bands on the ghr kicked my ass!!!

I would be jumping all over your nuts, but:

1/ You made a homophobic remark about such nut-jumping activity (avatar)

2/ Don't think I haven't noticed the lack of Buki activity in my BJJ thread ever since I trained with your hero.

3/ I really like eggs.

tried a couple assistance but said F' it. I just had no drive. Tailbone has been sore since ME squats on tuesday and i didn't do any box squats?? which i could feel tonight especially with the suit on. Also after deadlifting w/suit I just feel terrible nd not like training at all.

I'm going back to conventional.

I don't know sh*t, but to me it looks like you should work the crap out of your lockout and go back to conventional. You seem to get great drive out of the bottom conventionally, just that last 4 inches gives you trouble. I'm sure thats pretty elementary advice, but it could be the answer.

Its time to own up to myself. I'm down at least 30lbs on deadlift and I can lie to myself and blame it all on technique (which in viewing recent vids and reflecting on my focus there is no doubt some issues i need to address). and my bench is down 40lbs and I can lie and blame it on my lack of sleep last night, not eating enough this weekend, or on skipping my lat work while doing deadlifts this last month.

But i've got to fess up...My strength is **** right now, my attitude over this weekend was unacceptable, sleep sucked, and fatigue was daily. Time to take a week off. Although my squat is still progressing??? So I am still tempted to squat tomorrow.

Starting tomorrow.

First day back training.

That cold i picked up yesterday was still nagging me this morning but i juiced up some orange/Pineapple/ginger root this morning and felt better a couple hours after that. Didn't push it all to hard as it was first day back but hit my goals for day.

short and sweet.

bar felt heavy on back after not being under one for a couple weeks and the suit/breifs were both loose since my legs were not holding a lot of fluids like they do when i'm training heavy (also seen in the drop in BW)

You didn't want to push it too hard so you did 806 for 3. I hate you ;). Welcome back. Everyone's been getting sick lately.

Seriously though, obviously Buki is a great lifter, I'm just fvcking around. I wish their was no such thing as suits and shirts, it makes the hardest part of the lift easier. I understand it's just part of the sport at this point, but Buki, would you prefer their was no such thing?

what i meant by not pushing it hard was in regards to volume. the 806 was hard. All the burst blood vessels in my face tell me so. I think i could have hit it with 825 however.

BW upon waking 247.6

Had Active Release Therapy on Triceps and Biceps. Biceps are pretty much clean and free of problems, with just one small knot found on the right side. Still several strands of adhesions in triceps but they are making a lot of progress. Practitioner found tried some new angles that did help getting a little deeper and more targeted in the area.

Skipped Sled Pulling last night after the ART therapy. Which turned out to be a good plan as I woke up feeling pretty sick this morning. I feel a little better now but that cold must still be lingering around and the ART probably released a few more toxins into my system.

Still kind of sick and also running low on R4W and wanting to save it for my ME days so my preworkout stims were a little lacking. However my Pslin showed up this week and that gave me the bump i needed today. Didn't hit it with super intensity as i'm easing back into it.
