So, this is a bit different for me, as I don't normally write log's about any of my training or supplementation, but snagencyV2.0 and the FINAFLEX crew were gracious enough to send me a tub of their Muscle Fiber, so long as I promised to log it for them, and I am a man of my word. So here it goes. I would first like to thank Snags and FINAFLEX for being so generous and allowing me to try this product, as I have been wanting to test it out since they came out with it.
I guess I should share a bit of my background. I've been in multiple facets of the fitness industry for 18+ years. From personal trainer, competitor, facility manager, marketing manager, supplement shop owner, and now equipment sales for the past 5 years. I have won a few shows over the years and now have a few clients doing well in shows as well.
Over the past 17 or so years of my training, I was pretty fortunate to never have any serious illness, injuries, or health issues to hinder my training. It seems that time has caught up to me and I have had some serious health issues and injuries over the past 6 months or so. I am currently in the worst shape I have been in since I first started training. This is a main reason why I wanted to try Muscle Fiber. I've been able to overcome many of the problems I have ran into, except I am having issues with a bit of bloating and distended stomach now. I'm hoping from what I have read in a few of the other logs for MF, that this may help alleviate some of this issue.
My supplement regiment right now is very minimal, as my training intensity isn't very high right now, so I'm just taking my daily staples; a daily multi vit, my joint formula, my EFA's, and creatine pre and post workout. If I'm dragging ass, I'll take some caffeine and effies before my workout to help out a bit. I have a feeling that MF is going to be added and kept in this list of daily staples if it does what everyone has stated it's done for them.
So onto the product itself. I took my first serving this morning. I decided to take it in just straight water for the first go, to see it's true taste and mixing characteristics. I added one scoop into about 6 ounces of water. It mixed very well. No residue or grit. It did have a very mild bitter sense to it, but I get that any time I take glutamine in water, so nothing new. I'm just about to head to bed, so I'm going to throw it in my nighttime shake and see how it is, and I'll toss it in my oatmeal and protein powder tomorrow morning to get a sense of how it is in food. I doubt I'll even notice it, but I'll report back tomorrow with what I find.
I don't think I'll be updating this log on a daily basis, as this isn't a product where I'll probably notice differences from day to day. I'll try to for the first few days as it gets into my system, but after that, it'll most likely be a couple times a week just to give updates.
Thanks all for reading, and I can't wait to see what benefits MF will have for me!
