Jim's Training to Become a Human Tank!

-he is an ******* on the field though

That kind of trash talk always happens in sports, it's part of the game. It happens on sidelines, in locker rooms, everywhere, especially in heavy hitting games like the 49ers and Seahawks play.

The only difference between Sherman and any other player is that he did it on TV.

Bashing good players on social media and stuff is pretty stupid too.

Look he said what he said right after the game. He shouldn't have continued his snack on tv during his interview an hour later

A better throw by ksppernick and worst case it's an incomplete pass.

That's what I'm saying. He may be one of the over the top ones, but not the only one.

And, it helps his team if you think about it.

If he talks enough **** to the offense to make them mess up the play execution, or, more likely, to foul him and draw a flag then the Seahawks are profiting just from his attitude.

And it helps that he's one of the best in the league.

All xfit, SM, and oly banter/opinions aside, good luck jimbo. You're gonna kick ass.
As far as Sherman, good on him for being honest and true to how he felt. He didn't curse or get out of line and the play he made to shut down a drive that could have ended the hawks' hopes had him and all Seahawks fans pretty hyped up. Athletes aren't role models, parents are. If you have to have an athlete be your guiding light, your parents have failed you.
The Doug Baldwin interview was better though.

Thanks man, I'm not even sure how many are there as MWs lol. Most of the guys I know that could be, are cutting down to 175 for the 175 And under class.

Like I said, I like Sherman. He's fun to watch, I honestly really like the Seahawks. I just like the physical, in your face football that they play. (I like the 49ers as well, for the same reasons, although I prefer Seattle because I don't care for Kaepernick)

The whole MOB ( money over b1tches if my white ass is correct) yelling thing he was doing was a little much lol other than that I've got no qualms

So, I just checked and my wife should have set all of the APF Raw National Records for Junior 123 in the last meet (too bad we didn't check, or we would've filled out the extra form).

She is also 20# off of the WPC Raw Deadlift for Junior 123 as well....

Hmmmm.....

That's awesome. What a great feat.

She needs to bulk like you then!

Lol, the other day she wanted to check her weight because she thought she was eating more than usual (she wasn't). So I put my foot on the edge of the scale, she was flipping out when she thought she weighed 153.

I haven't told her yet, but I figure she'll get them at Nats this year (if we're able to make it out that way to compete)

So, I'm thinking of programming a wave of JM leading up to TX Strongest in April.

Anybody have any experience with it? I've read it a few times (and have been reading through it today) and it seems like a very good way to make long term strength gains, plus, it sounds cool to say lol.

No experience with it, but CWS has a lot of great ideas and seems to really know his **** so I would figure it to be beneficial.

The best is when you tap your toe on a Tanita wrestling scale. They're very finicky and you have to hold still for a few seconds before it reads. So, naturally, the guy behind in line taps the scale every few seconds so that the person on the scale tries to hold as stiff as a board and eventually gets pissed and peeks behind them.

I turned a guy onto TJM and he's making pretty steady gains. Hard to tell for sure, he's still just beginning, but it seems to be working well. I really want to start doing the jumps and med ball throws programming in my training.

I have an excel sheet that does all the main lift programming for me, so I'm thinking I'll do something similar.

I'm thinking I want Incline Bench, Mil. Press, Front Squat, Deadlift for my main movements, and then I'll do the assistance as I see fit each day (4-6 exercises addressing weaknesses in the lifts/my physique). I'm thinking:

Squat/Bench/Rest/DL/Mil. Press/Event Day/Rest

So you posted a beard meme...let's see it bro. Do you even beard?

Where's the beard meme?

Ah. I still can't open the meme link under that post. Stupid work computer.

Although I'm part grizzly bear, so that's a factor.

Mine was close to this size when I trimmed it last month. I couldn't trim it evenly, so I took it down the maximum my shaver attachments would go.

Rogaine, Jim. Rogaine.

If this bad boy pushes me into SHW from 308, it's worth it. Adds 200# to my total in all it's grizzly Jew-beard awesomeness.

Yeah, but the backwards baseball hat subtracts 175 from your total, so the beard is netting you 25 lbs :biglaugh:

When I grow up, I want to be just like Swanson. Damn, dat beard though!

:biglaugh: Set your sights higher, kiddo.

Unless it's JUST facial hair, in which case I'd say I'm a solid role model. :D

I'm not shaving this bitch either.

Supposed to have freezing rain and <30 degree weather tonight and tomorrow.

That pavements gonna be pretty slick trying to pull that truck Saturday.....

I wonder how many people will fall on their faces?

pfft, 0 tonight w 15 mph winds. it snowed last night and today, it's so cold the salt on the roads doesn't work. absolute mess...

I don't know what that is lol.

I typically wear Vibrams for truck pulls, idk if that qualifies....

what i mean is be prepared if it's slippery. it's all about grabbing the pavement brother, vibrams might not be optimal. tennis shoes or work boots might be better.

ya never know...
