Jim's Training to Become a Human Tank!

Jim knows it's all love, baby.

If it weren't for Dave, I'd unilaterally condemn xfit to the bowels of hell.

Guy I know who was a competitive HS and college/adult sprinter and all around athlete who lifts a good bit just started doing X fit type workouts. I feel like the cater to a higher level of conditioning/aerobic activity than strongman or PL, but definitely similar.

That gym with the girl who has cerebral palsy should be shut down.

I agree. I wanted to post that one but didn't want the intent to come across as me making fun of it.

It's very ****ed up of them. No way that dumb bitch is qualified to help train that girl.

In case any of you want to try Dermacrine and Endosurge Turbo, I have a promo running on SR that ends Monday and we need another logger! (has to be on SR though)

Yesssssss

Can I log it again? ;)

Yeah I was signing up before I even asked. I've been tempted by DC for a while so why not. Should be a good time. But now I'm wondering if I should or not... last time I talked about it I was discouraged due to my age, which I think makes sense, but at the same time I know I could definitely benefit it and I don't think 4 weeks of DHEA is going to negatively impact my development at this point. I will probably hold off. Though I did like EST when you guys let me log it.

Stephen ran it a few months ago and he is younger than you.

I can't imagine something like that being an issue, honestly.

Which one is stephen? I'm really up in the air about it and could go either way. I mean even so, 4 weeks isn't enough to really do anything even if there was potential.

Yup, it was on the tip of my tongue because I remembered it but it wasn't coming to me. I might have a chat w him.

Yeah he hasn't has activity in a month and never finished he review on the Dermacrine....

Probably killed him.

JK. I didn't know he was younger than me though that's funny. Must really be a young gun.

So I guess no talking to him lol.

He's younger than me, and we're around the same age (me and you)

Edit: I did notice he never finished the log.

This is true. And it's a bummer because I was waiting around to see what he said. Hopefully nothing serious happened.

In the 10 or so months I've been on here he's jumped around quite a bit, coming an going. At least that's what it has seemed.

ok, i've been thinking about this. for the life of me, i can't think think of how this guy physically put himself in a position to sever his cord @ t11-12 when he lost control of the bar overhead. did he somehow get bent over, and if so how? was there just a massive shift of bone that severed his cord? does somebody have the cliff note version?

Maybe it happened and that's why he dropped the bar, not him getting hurt from dropping the bar

Different theory on the incident: Invalid Link Removed

The primary difference is the energy system bastardization and the organization. Strongman has roughly the same events in each show while Crossfit has random **** in addition to the Oly lifts. Sadly, the CF community uses this as a point of pride in that you "have to be prepared for anything" instead of realizing that is part of the problem with the "sport."

I'm not as versed in SM events, but I know that most of them are not ridiculously technical like the Oly lifts. Anything highly technical should not be done while fatigued or to fatigued. I'd venture to say that CF is SM done by a retard and overly commercialized.

txs, from that vid, it looks like the vertebrae could have just exploded and severed the cord. congenital? maybe, but previous stress fractures to those vertebrae could be responsible. the vertebrae could have said fck you and just exploded. the question then becomes does 100 kg overhead produce enough force to cause the vertebrae to break with enough force to sever the cord?

He dropped it and it bounced off of something behind him and hit him. (at least that's what I read about it)

Lol, saw this today and want to share it.

Its one of the funnier things I've seen recently, and I figure this log could use a little entertainment since I'm not doing anything all week.
