Thanks folks. Been a long few days. Haven't really left the hospital for more than a few hours at a time. They treated the ruptured aneurysm yesterday and just removed the ventilator and woke her up.

Still 2 more unruptured aneurysms to be treated, but for right now this is pretty good news.

That’s a blessing Jim! If you don’t mind me asking, we’re they brain or aortic?

Praying for her, Jim.

Brain. We won't know the extent of the damage for a few days while the fluid drains out. She can talk, and move around, but she lost some time and keeps trying to pull out her IVs and stuff.

The fact she can speak and move is very positive! Keep your head up!

Worked out Sunday and Monday.

I'll try to update with those when I get home. Tried to do it off memory, but just can't remember all the weights and whatnot.

Hopefully you got some stress out with them, that is all that matters at this point.

Classes started today, so I was a little pressed for time. Workout took around 45 minutes, all told. I'm doing an internship for course credit this semester, so I may be even more busy than usual.

Mom is still in ICU, but she seems to be making progress.

Good to hear Mom is improving. Way to keep yourself moving and not getting stuck in the funk that could easily overtake you if you let it!

Thanks fellas. Mom is back home now. Got discharged from Methodist on Wednesday, which was a welcome surprise. Went to her place yesterday to check in and she really seems like her old self now.

As for workout stuff, I've been decent about lifting. Missed one day this week because of work and school obligations, but mostly just haven't been great about logging. Trying to find a good 4-5 day workout schedule for this semester, but I haven't really settled on anything as of yet.

So glad to hear Mom is back home and in better health Jim.

Doing the training is a lot more important than logging it, no doubt!

So, went ahead and grabbed Project Collosus from Meadows. Had planned to start it this coming Sunday, but came down with the flu on Wednesday, so now I'm not sure if I'll be up for it by Sunday.

True that. I did end up training that Sunday, but took it easier than prescribed with longer rest periods because my lungs were not up to par. Hit 4 out of 5 workouts last week, but it was really just to get back into the swing of it and get a feel for the exercises for the program. True week 1 started this week. Updates for the first 3 workouts incoming.

Sunday: Legs

GHR: +25 x 8 + 10 partials (from top) + iso-hold @ 3/4
SSB Squat: 225 x 8 x 2
Leg Press: 3pps x 10 x 2
Bulgarian Death Set: BW x 90 sec. (3 sec descent, 3 count pause at 1/2 rep)
Banded SLDL: Red + Bar x 10, Red + 65 x 10 (3 sec descent, 1 sec pause at full stretch)

Notes: tough workout. Legs were jacked up for days. Back was feeling some kind of way, but not on the injured side, and just moved a little gingerly through the last few days to keep it that way.

DB Fly: 25 x 10 + 15 sec iso-hold on last rep x 2

Hey folks! I'm back, and hopefully better than ever!

I've started a new log to track what will likely be the craziest training regimen that I've ever taken on, and I'm hoping you guys will come along for the ride! Hopefully, y'all can help me stick with it and be more accountable with my tracking of both diet and training.

I'm expecting **** to get pretty damn serious, but I'm looking forward to it.
