Jdg's 26 Week Prep

I just wish the rest of my body would catch up :-/


So to give a little background. I just started running test last fall. I had planned on competing and started a 16 week cycle going into my show. So I wasn't actually bulking per se. I ended up not competing. Well then I had planned to do this show. So i never came off ;) So I haven't actually gotten to go on a long bulking cycle yet while being :on: So I plan on blowing the fck up after my show!!!!
The only thing that will put that off is if I do the Mayhem in KC two months later. My brother and a few other people i know are competing in it so I may hold my diet and do it with them.

What kind of doses are you running now for your prep? Cruising is always nice too, did that for a long time here and there with TRT and blasts/cruises. You'll hyper respond post show oh mannnn you'll blow up!! Your body will be sucking everything up, and if you added a little slin in the results would be physique changing I bet.

Wow. 100 test e weekly. At 750 i breakout bad with acne. Have to keep mine at 500. Self administered trt.

There was a guy at the Muay Thai fight who had acne all over his back, chest, and stomach. He wasn't buff or anything but I was really curious if he was on anything.

Nice, even dieting you should get stronger and be growing like gang busters on that! 1000mg of test was the sweet spot for me when I was cycling, never had any acne problems except for when I came off oddly enough. I will say I grew more on 500test/skin/peptides than I did on over 2gs of AAS...
 
The only real acne problem I have had is on my shoulders and upper back. And at that it hasn't been horrible. Sounds funny but I got a loopa (sp) thing in the shower like my wifes and I really scrub my shoulders in the shower. It seems to help keep them under control.

Sorry I haven't been updating much lately. Things been pretty crazy. But like I said I have been getting my workouts in, still eating clean, and really getting into practicing my poses. Got under 7 weeks now!! I will wait another week before I take more pics.

So I know I said my weight the other day, but I had my official weigh in at the gym for the contest I am in. I weighed fasted at 178.2. Like i said before I only did one day of cardio last week. I didn't add in the coconut oil like I had planned but did add a cup of dry oats which bumped my cals up close to 3000. I plan on adding in the oil this week and doing a few days of cardio to see what happens.

What's your total allotment of fats right now? 70g?

78, with 2 tbs coconut oil it should push me over 100. I may add in some avocado's also. As long as I am dropping weight as easily as I am now, i don't mind bumping them up.

yeah no doubt.

I was going to suggest more carbs peri workout or intra to help mitigate some of you're strength drop off.

80g of fat is good @ 180 for hormone function. But, do as your brother suggests!

I added in the oats with breakfast and then I will have my second meal with sweet potatos. With the extra carbs I have noticed a difference in the gym.

Funny you mentioned my brother, I just got off the phone with him. I am seriously considering doing the Mayhem with him. I haven't been on stage in a long time so two shows back to back may be a little rough. But I like to push myself so it is probably going to happen ;)
 
My physique really started to turn when my coach added in some extra carbs the lower carbs was not working for my body as well

The lower carbs were working for me, just to well!! I was losing weight way to fast. Like I said above I only did cardio once this week and dropped from 181 to 173 with higher carbs.

Yeah the lower carbs had me dropping weight faster than my coach liked
 
Lol lucky guys in here. Me with lower carbs + cardio is the only thing that works for me.
It was for me for quiet awhile. Then it was like someone flipped a switch. I started dropping is like crazy!!!

My son is 13. His coach in his weight training class at school just sent me a video of him squating !85, with ease!! He's 5'5" and around 140lbs, Guess it is time to sign him up at my gym!

It's very difficult in getting the regular joe high school athlete to squat to parallel. That's pretty BA!

What part are you working on with that foot position. I'm trying ti find a good position for my inner quads

The outer sweep. As you bring the sled towards you, you angle your knees out, and then push it back up while bringing your knees in again.
 
I can tell it is time to start a new workout. Getting bored with mine and have been straying from what mine calls for.
HIt chest and bis today. My arms and front delts looked like a road map with all the veins!! Crazy vascular. Strength was down some again today , but that is to be expected. I am 6 1/2 weeks out, crazy!! I am ready, but then I am not LOL.
I did do 15 mins cardio on the treadmill today, interval 1.3 miles. I am going to do 4 days cardio this week and see where my weight is next Monday. I will probably weigh Thursday morning fasted just to make sure I am not losing to fast again.

Soooo, I have been talking to my brother and have decided to do the Mayhem with him. So far it is him and me, and two others from my gym that is going to compete, so it will be pretty cool being back stage and knowing people there.
The Muscle Mayhem is in Kansas City which is only 1.5 hours from here. It is 9 weeks after my show, so I will probably take two weeks off of everything and then blast the next 7 weeks!! Going to be crazy competing back to back, but I am excited!!
 
I will probably start a new thread after my first show, and just link this one in it. So if there is any new followers they can see where I have been so far. It is going to be different already being very lean and still prepping for 9 weeks. It's not something I have done before. Glad I have someone to help haha
 
while prepping did you ever notice any strength loss? If so, how do you not let that get to your head? I know we are going for looks, and sometimes that means losing strength due to cutting, but how do you deal with that psychologically when you've been trying so hard to get bigger and stronger during bulking phases?

I've been dealing with that the last few weeks. It sucks, your right, but when I get to my heaviest set and I know I should have done more, I will drop the weight and rep it out to get a little more volume. Also I keep reminding myself of what i look like now, what i want to look like on stage, and how I am going to blow up after my competition is over :D
 
I lose more power than strength and stamina will definitely go down on lower cals.
 
I never have noticed much until I get later in to my prep. Now the time I did it all natural I noticed it significantly more the entire time.
 
You just got to focus on the fact your cutting fat I mean yeah I know the extra weight looks good on scale and in clothes but when the shirt comes off you'll visually look bigger at 8% body fat than 18% even if you lose 20lbs. Shredded muscle always looks bigger
 
Well I have finally came to terms with myself that I have either severe carpal tunnel in my right hand and minimal in my left. I have had numbeness in both for a long time. For the last two weeks I have woke up at night with my right hand/fingers swollen and hurting. The last few nights have gotten bad. Last night I woke up at 1;30 and was awake on and off until 5. It hurt bad enough I was ready to go to the ER.
I had made plans this morning to see and Orthopedic surgeon to get some suggestions to help put off surgery. then found out he is on vacation until mid March.
Well while talking to a friend at the gym she had the same problem but went to a chiropractor, and he fixed hers. So tomorrow I will go and see what he can do.
I did buy a had/wrist brace I will wear for awhile.

With that being said I didn't have the best workout today. I worked back and had to use straps on everything.

Awww, that totally sucks! My mom has carpel tunnel but doesn't think it's worth getting the surgery.

Right now i am just working part time at a gas station, so I am using a cash register a lot. So that could be part of it.
And actually the orthopedic doctor is on vacation so i am going to a chiropractor tomorrow. i hope it helps!!

No I'm not on it any more, but yes I can tell my joints hurt when I do run it.
 
Signed my boy up at the gym today. So I took him in for his first real workout. It felt good having some time with him doing what we both enjoy..

That is awesome! Nothing better then when one of your kids joins you for a workout.
 
if you do wrist curls. do behind the back wrist curls as opposed to wrist curls with your forearms resting on your knees. I was getting periodic numbness until i started doing mostly behind the back wrist curls. Now my numbness is no longer an issue.
 
Yah I am trying to get my boy back so he can take some powerlifting titles. He's was a fuggin powerhouse back in his football days but injury ended his career.
 
HardEarned I haven't been doing any wrist curls. I really think I have some pinched nerves or something going on, my left hand is hurting this morning.

My boy is excited, he was asking me before school what we were going to do tonight at the gym haha.

Just got home from the chiropractor. He said I had a vertabrae slipped a little between my shoulder blades and had a lot of trigger points around my traps and neck. He also popped my neck on both sides R and L. He said to continue with ibuprophen (?) and heat on my neck to keep things loosened up.
Right now my fingers are just a little tingly, but we will see what happens this afternoon.
