Jay Cutler is now HUGE!

Okay, so I was at BB.com (yes, I still visit there :)) and run across another "I met Jay Cutler" thread...this time, with pics.

So I peak in there, and what do I see? The biggest freggin' arm I've ever seen in my life! The guy next to him isn't big, but isn't exactly a runt either. He says he's 6'2" with 17.5" arms (believable at that height).

Anyway, here is the pic....
(original thread: Invalid Link Removed)

Oh, and the guy in the original thread (dunno who he is), but he said that Cutler was 310 @ 6%!!!

Now he's huge, let's see if at the next competition if he can be dry for once. He always seems to carry around extra water when he least needs it.

Best showing was the '01 Olympia, not the last one as the magazines will have you believe!

Good Gawd, his arm is as big as my quad... . Of course, I would never dream of being 310 and 6% b/f ...maybe 6% b/f but at 210, not 310. Dayum!

Yup he's looking huge. There is no way that other guy's arm is 17.5 though.
I agree Np, and Jay's arms look to be around 23" which is huge. But he doesn't look to be at 6% BF.

i would venture to say his arm may be more lik 25 ... i don't know about 6% either

No way, man!

--the most amazing thing about Jay is that he got all that muscle from the Nitro-tech/Cell-tech stack. Don't you guys check out the special ad-reports? It's all in there!!!

 :icon_lol: :hammer: ;) :p

Wow, thats one huge arm.

:rofl:I love those nitro-tech/cell-tech articles. The sad thing is that young kids see that and go buy some of the garbage.

Don't forget that 6% (or any %) at that bodyweight means he is carrying around a lot more fat than most of us at 8-10%.

gotta start somewhere. at least muscletech spends their money on sponsoring bb'ers. i'm sure that GH gets expensive.

Exactly :) 6% on him is nowhere near 6% on me. Basically, he has ~20lbs of pure fat on his body if he's around 6% (i know 18 to be exact  )

Also, that 6'2" guy is tiny "up top". He's 6'2" with long arms, I don't doubt him on his measurements. Sure, 17.5" arms would be bigger looking on a guy with long muscle attachments and short arms who is around average height, but on him, that's not much.

I would like to see Cutler makes his back more dense and get more dry, too. I still don't think he's O material. BUt, his arms are absolutely ridiculous in that picture.

Oh, and re: his arms only being 23" right there, I do'nt think so. Arnold had 22+ inch arms when pumped, and in cotest time '03-'04 Cutler was 22.5", dry. So, off season, I hardly doubt they're that much larger. IF the average joe with 18" arms could lose an inch or more during contest time, cutler could lose 2 or so. (especially since, IMHO, he overdiets--hell, he looks better 5 weeks out with no tan than he does on stage.)

I'm 6' 1", and my arms are just under 19, and look way bigger than his. Not trying to discredit the guy.

He still doesn't look 6%.:rasp:

Arthur Jones measured Arnolds arms, cold, at 19 and 1/2 inches. I really doubt his arms were 22+ pumped.

The only arms Jones measured cold above 20 inches were those of Sergio Oliva. 20 1/8th inches cold.

I'm 6'2" with long arms, and if his arms are 17.5 than mine must be pushing 20. Then again, do we really give a damn about his arms? ;)

Very true. Didnt think about that. Im sure their drug bills for a year are quite a bit more than we will spend in a lifetime doing a cycle here and there so muscletech must be a huge help.

Look how big Cutler is, structurally, compared to the skinny guy. Even his fingers and head are huge. hGh, hGh, hGh:)

Here is the guy's post: Invalid Link Removed He said his arms are 17" flexed....

he has long, lanky arms......I don't see what's so hard to understand. Face it, we all look much smaller when we see ourselves in pics and the same goes with others.

I personally measure my arms at between 17.75 and 18". Mine are bigger than that guys, yes, and I'm shorter so they look bigger still, but if I look at myself objectively, I can say that that guys arms can def. be 17" or so. Unless it's shredded to pieces, a 17" arms isn't that big.

Now, I have the hardest time believing arnolds were only 19.5". That's a big arm, yes, but if mine are ~18" (despite the difference in rippedness), I just don't see how arnolds could possibly be only 19.5" at his prime when his damn arm was almost as big as his head and he's about 6'2". Ferrigno's taped out over 23", so why not? I know quite a few guys with >20" arms and I work with one all the time......they definitely look nothing like Arnold, let alone cutler.

Cutler is just a genetic freak of nature. I doubt anyone on this board could even come close to what he has accomplished, whether it be size or strength. ****, that goes for 95% of the world's population. Drugs can only take you so far. Has anyone seen pictures of this guy when he was a teen? Dude was huge to begin with.

I attached a pic of Jay at 18yrs old, AFTER he had trained for atleast 3 years (I know he was training at 15, but I don't know how much earlier he started).....

After that, teh second pic is off Mustafa Mohammad....see how big Jay is next to the avg. pro.....LoL

Woah - Look at that pic of him at 18! You werent kidding when you said genetic freak. I knew a kid in High School like that - never even touched a weight and was jacked, stronger than nearly everyone in his grade.

I bet its a myostatin thing...

BV

I dunno, call me dellusional, but I just am not THAT impressed when I see these guys. Obviously they look much better than most people do, but at that point he'd be training for 3+ years and he wasn't THAT huge, freaky looking.

I'm actually inspired when I see pics of young pro's...I like to see how far they come and how close they actually resemble normal people :D

Yeah, I hope that pic with MM puts things into perspective :D

MM is a big mofo! I mean, look at the pic of MM by himself, then look at him next to Cutler.......

Yeah, but we all know that Arnold (as far as we know) started "using" at an early/earlier age. I'd like to see pictures of all pro bodybuilders when they were teens. It would be interesting to see how big they were when they first started.

i've seen pictures of a lot of them when they were teens on another board .. i'll try to find it .. the were ALL ENORMOUS even at 14 .. all had ridiculous back width and you could easily see their genetic gifts .. it really is true what they say .. all the drugs, food, and training in the world will not make some one into one of the top pros .. you've gotta have it to begin with

I wonder what Arnold would look like today if he was born in 1975:) Imagine 'Terminator' with a 310lb, ripped superfreak:)

I agree. That pic of Jay at 18 is IMHO a normal, in-shape, athletic kid with descent genetics. There were TONS of guys that were WAY bigger than that guy in my High school when I was younger. I bet he doesn't even weigh 180 in that pic. Now the newer one  wow, thatta big bouy...lol.

What kind of HS did you guys go to? There was no one even close to his size in any HS in my area that I knew of.

Well like I said, jay in that pic is hardly pushing 180 I bet. You didn't have any other guys that played team sports that weighed 200-300?? Dunno man, I guess some schools are just like that. I'd say that 80% of the guys when I was in HS from the ages 16-18 were over 200lbs. Not all of them were cut and toned...but def. bulky and not all fat either. Except me...I was right around 160...but very toned and cut back then....I used ot get a hell of alot more girls back then too...damn. Maybe I come from a town of freaks?? LOL..

The offensive line at my highschool (including myself) averaged 6'4" 310 pounds my senior year.

damn man, at my high school there was one kid who was HUGE, much much bigger than cutler at 18. hell he was bigger than the teachers and the football coach (football coach was big). he was just a monster, tall and big as hell. (supposedly his dad was a bb'er and trained him for a few years)

then comes this russian kid-- did greco-roman wrestling. He always won all the competitions that our weight training teacher set up for us easily.

Northeast Junior Regional Championships - FS
4/11/2003
Brockport, NY
215 lbs. - 1st - Andy Jackson (NJ) dec. Mike Newfield (Canada), 4-0; 3rd - Arkady Levitin (NY) dec. Brian Willis (DE), 3-0

then notice here:
FILA Junior World Team Trials - GR
4/30/2004
Lincoln, Neb.
20 kg/264.5 lbs.
Gold - James Hollis (Turlock, Calif./Army) dec. Chase Wetenkamp (Manitowoc, Wis./Manitowoc WC), 3-1
Bronze - Arkady Levitin (Brooklyn, N.Y./New York AC) by tech. fall over Joe Wood (Clarkston, Mich./Eastern Elite), 11-0

There were a few huge kids at my school. But, I know what they were doing for that size ;) Hell, I knew so many kids that were juicing in HS it was pathetic. 140lb weenies on DBol with no PCT planned who get off, feel depressed, and dont know why....hahaha. If I only knew then what I know now (or ever lifted weights for that matter) maybe I coulda made a difference, hehehe.

Another thing I've got to add is, I'm sure Cutler appeared much larger in person than he did in that picture. You've got to give him that because it ALWAYS happens that way.

Then again, these IFBB pros selectively let pics out. The only one who has let out "unflattering" pics of himself was Dorian Yates.

I've seen that thread with tons of BBers as kids, there is a good one at Invalid Link Removed in the pics section.

I was just no ridiculously impressed. Not that I couldn't see they were genetically gifted, it's just that considering they all (except Ruhl) started lifting years before they released the pics, I'm not that shocked when I see them. And while I'm a big believer in genetics, I think these pics just go to show that you don't know who has GREAT genetics until they have a reason for those genetics to be expressed (i.e. stimulating the muscle to grow via BBing :))

does anybody else notice that his entire facial structure is changing? his jaw and forehead are massive, he's starting to get a lee labrada head.

I did. It's worrying the lengths some of these guys go to. Impressive, but worrying. I'm hoping that memo released telling judges not to give so much weight to sheer mass anymore is going to reign in some of the excesses you see these days.

jay didn't start lifting until 18, weighed 180 without TOUCHING a weight .. in 4 years of training he went up to 240

I agree. He's starting to get to that Valentino-type huge. Looks shitty IMO.

Hehehe. He was already posing for camera's at 15 years old, bro. There's a pic of him at 15years old doing a front lat spread around somewhere, I gotta find it.

I've hear that cutler story, too. Somewhere along the line it got changed to what you're hearing now.

However, the numbers 180-240 in 4 years sound reasonable...

Here is the biography on his website: Invalid Link Removed

Here is where he said he began "bodybuilding" at 18 years old: "This is where I discovered bodybuilding. I began training actually on my 18th birthday in 1991."

I don't know if he's being tricky with words, but there is no reason for him to be posing w/ front lat spreads at 15 if he was not training with weights at all.

Hell, techinically I'm not "bodybuilding" yet. I've never held a bodybuilders diet, etc, etc. So, I could say I've not "bodybuilded" yet.

I think a lot of these IFBB pros get obsessed about "genetics" and bend the truth a bit. That's why I respect people like Yates and Ruhl so much.

Everytime I see a picture of him he gets bigger and his face gets more cro magnon.

I'll takes those guns anyday of the week. they should be registered as WMD's
