Study Sheds More Light on 'Placebo Effect'
by Richard Knox

Morning Edition, March 6, 2008 · A new study indicates that people get better results from taking expensive pills — even when the "expensive pill" is a placebo with no active medical ingredients.

so NP is actually making us see fewer results because they have such good prices!!! OMG :P Good find EZ

But there was a statistically significant difference in placebo effect level when people were told it was a $2 pill vs a 10 cent pill.

So I think all the supplement companies need to raise their prices ;)

Shhhhhh, Umm we need to keep that on the down low sir. So far I think muscle tech is the only one who's read this study and I'd like to keep it that way! lol...

That kind of follows the same logic of your girlfriend/wife telling you your the best she's ever had.

lol@Sheeple. You are dead on about companies raising their prices. When I was building custom atv parts with a side company I started me and my nephew were discussing how price affects sales, and its not always what you think. One particular part was priced at about $800. My competitions part was priced at anywhere from $600 to $1000. I tried dropping my price to the BEST price I could find. All anyone would ask is if my aftermarket parts were at least as good as stock. They wouldn't even read the description stating materials, welding process etc.

My parts were on par with the $1000 items, I just felt bad charging that much. But when I lowered my prices people presumed my parts were cheaply built and assembled.

what we need is a 10 cent pill that works -for real...

Ah, explains why Anabolic Xtreme and MuscleTech products cost so damn much.

but at some point the cost becomes a warning flag/retardant (IMO), so wouldn't that have somewhat of a reverse effect?

or all three at once.

It is pretty weird. No matter what I take, if it dosen't work and I just add M1T suddenly I get gains. M1T must be some type of universal 'activating' catalyst or something. I dunno.
