I just turned 18 last week on the 26th a lot of people tell me I have really good shoulder strength for my age for military press I can do 185x5 for 3-4 sets is that good and I am only 5'9 160

Yeah actually that sounds really good. Not so good that I'm giving you the bull**** face from across the interwebs, but good enough that combined with your confusion over whats a good number makes me wonder how long you've been doing the exercise and if you aren't confusing the military press with the push press. Not saying anything negative just trying to make sure so that way I can give you a full compliment or just a slight nod of appreciation.

I've been lifting since I was 15 it's military press I'm sitting down not standing

That's excellent shoulder strength but what about the real numbers the squat bench and the deadlifts those are the numbers that matter to people.

Nothing annoys me more than the standard question "how much ya bench".... For a guy like myself whos bench is kind of weak at 285lb it annoys me a little because theres not a question on "how much you dead and squat?" For me my dead is 500lb, and squats are at 375lb. Which are not bad really.

I'm only saying it because I'm trying to see what type of numbers this guy has if he's doing that much on shoulders you know I would expect some good numbers everywhere else.

I come from a powerlifting background so to me those numbers or what's important. Not really to everyone else but to me they are. Besides you're never going to get away from the old how much do you bench question...

Yeah definatley, you would imagine a 225lb bench with that.... im getting more into the power-lifting scene now... Really enjoying it, but cant stop bodybuilding either :) best of both worlds.

my max bench is 270 my max squat is 345 my max deadlift is 395 for straight bar but for hexbar it's 415 and my max powerclean is 180

Oh and I started doing military press at 115 at age 15 only weighing 140-143 so I've put on like 20 pounds in 3 years
