GH supps have been on the market in various forms and timeframes for many decades. However, to my knowledge, there has never been a single effective FDA allowed product. When I say "effective", I am using that term within the context of and relative to the results injectable GH produces. Certainly, there are numerous compounds which will raise GH levels, but the entire point of increasing GH is to actually see results in muscle mass, fat loss, injury repair, connective tissue regeneration, etc. In order to actually experience these effects, GH levels need to be elevated high enough, and remain there long enough, to produce them.
It's the same with testosterone boosters. There are plenty of natural compounds out there which will increase T levels, but not to the degree necessary to produce benefits even semi-comparable to injectable testosterone. In order to experience these benefits, T levels need to be elevated to supraphysiological levels day after day, month after month. This is why natural test boosters have continued to flop decade after decade. Remember, elevating T levels (via testosterone injections) is still the number one way to increase muscle mass and strength. It's been this way for generations...because it works. Yet, there isn't a single test booster that has stood the test of time. There isn't a single test booster that people continue to use decade after decade. Why? Because they don't provide the growth benefits injectable testosterone, even low dose injectable testosterone, is known for. It's not even close, really. Even a 100 mg/week T injection is going to crush any natural supplement out there, and 100 mg/week isn't even considered supraphysiological use.
It's no different with natural GH boosters. In fact, natural GH boosters are even less effective than natural T boosters. Only GH peptides/secretagogues are capable of mimicking injectable GH (from a GH elevating standpoint), but even then, the effect profile isn't the same due to secretagogues/peptides being ghrelin mimetics. Ghrelin mimetics have their own effect profile independent of their ability to increase GH, which is why every experienced bodybuilder knows that secretagogues/peptides are not "the same" as injectable GH. They are different categories of compounds with different effect profiles. The ability to increase circulating GH is only a common characteristic between the two. On top of that, the secretagogues/peptides are not natural. Some of them may be bioidentical (ex. Sermorelin), but not "natural", in the same sense that injectable T is not considered "natural".
I would love to see a truly natural GH boosting product that actually produced results similar to GH, even lower dose GH, but in order for that to happen, we would need to see a product that elevated GH levels the equivalent of about 3 iu of injectable GH, and then maintain those levels for similar amount of time.
Before I finish, it is true that there are natural compounds capable of causing substantial increases in circulating GH levels, but the problem is that they don't remain elevated. This is the same problem we see with natural T boosters. We've seen several T boosters capable of causing rather large, but transient spikes in T levels. This inability to maintain the increase they produce is the primary area in which these products fall short. But, if one's primary goal is to simply feel and perform a little better, natural T boosters do have some value. However, don't expect to get bigger, just like you shouldn't expect to get more ripped from natural GH boosters.
