With the energized aminos, are you doing 1-2 scoops pre? Or using intra?

I still need to try it. On the surface, 125mg caffeine doesn’t seem like too much, but coupled with the Teacrine, I’m sure it’s great.

2 scoops (250mg caffeine + 250mg teacrine) would probably be too much for me. I’ve never experimented with teacrine dosages. 250mg caffeine would be perfect for me pre, but the teacrine might add a bit too much for myself. Maybe 1.5 scoops would be my sweet spot

Right now 1 scoop with .5-1 serving Caffeine Free Focus XT.

1 scoop I feel quite a bit and 1.5 is the most I'll use if I feel I am dragging that day.

I workout around 2pm most days, but if I worked out earlier I would probably do half to a full scoop during based on work (nowadays not so important). I am contemplating doing 1 scoop during my morning AM cardio lately (being stuck in the house I am doing cardio first thing in the morning to keep me moving more and it seems to give me a chance to think about things and get going).

I’ve grown into a big fan of symbiont gi. Great stuff
Glad to hear it! I haven’t seen much feedback on it but I’m really liking the composition and I’m a gut health nerd. So looking forward to adding it to my staples.

I'm absolutely loving the Energized aminos in that pink star candy flavor right now... the perfect lunchtime pick-me-up (I fast through the day)

I've been doing 1 scoop for anything "average" (easier workouts, mid-day pick up, etc) and about .5-1sc + 1sc focus xt for my bigger workouts. 2 scoops is def too much for me right now and would just have me buzzing, not focused

Cellucor C4 Carbonated Sour Batch Bro’s

Taste

Sour Batch Bro’s - This flavor is exactly what you'd expect it to be. The Candy Shop Flavors are made to replicate Sour Patch Kids. The sour is just right in this product, with a dense apple flavor on the backend. The combination of the sweet candy initial taste and the green apple aftertaste was incredibly refreshing. After having this flavor in 3 different products (C4 Ultimate Powder, Ultimate Can, and the Yellow Can) I would give the edge to the yellow can. The lighter formula paves way for the flavoring to shine to a greater extent. Cellucor made a very smart move bringing this flavor over to the original c4 carbonated as it is an absolute home run and a must try flavor.

Formula

  • 200 mg Caffeine
  • CarnoSyn Beta-Alanine – Designed to delay the onset of fatigue, resulting in improved power and performance*
  • Citrulline Malate – Supports an increase in nitric oxide levels*
  • BetaPower Betaine – Maintains your cells’ electrolyte concentration and supports hydration*
  • N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine – Supports mental and cognitive health during stressful activities*
Ranking of Flavors
1) Sour Batch Bro’s
2) Orange Slice
3) Cherry Limade
4) Cotton Candy
5) Midnight Cherry
6) Twisted Limeade
7) Frozen Bombsicle
8) Purple Frost
9) Tropical Blast
10) Strawberry Watermelon Ice

Going to give some of these Nutrabio flavors a try...

Ordered Pistachio (classic whey) and then WPI - Blueberry Muffin, Bourbon Banan Nut, and Cinnamon Sugar Donut...excited.

Going to do some protein pancakes, proatmeal, fluff, etc...these flavors seem like they'll go really well with these things. Gotta keep it interesting while quarantined up here in Jersey lol

Will do!

Grabbed the WPI for ~$30/tub so figured why not!

I may just double scoop the shakes if the flavor is as light as Bob says... excited to see.

I have used EliteFTS bands for years now - those are excellent quality and last a long time if they aren’t abused.
I just had to replace some. I didn't use them a ton (but they have been used for everything from stretching to actual banded squats, etc.) and I have had mine forever. Like they have to be close to 10 years old. :ROFLMAO:

Nice thing about them is while using a pair on a barbell doesn’t last as many years since they tend to lose tension unevenly or get nicked, the old bands are still super useful for many more years for accessory movements like tricep work, rowing, pullaparts, resisted push-ups. I definitely have some over 8 years old still in service.

Yeah my bands lost some of the elasticitydue to losing moisture from being left alone for too long in a non air conditioned garage. You got to keep those things moving or they start to get dry and spongy but heck mine are at least 5-6 years old. I use them the same way hide is mentioning now. Nothing on a barbell but curls, rows pull aparts and the like are all still good.

I often like to make bets with people about how long they can jump rope, I have never lost. Jumping rope is harder than you remember. Let me know how long you last the first time. The other one is a dead hang from a bar, most people can't last a minute. (no straps)

No bet here. lol. I remember all too well on both of those. Gravity is not my friend.
On a cut. Lost 25 pounds so far, and holding on to muscle.

BEAM Vegan Protein Chocolate Brownie

Taste

Chocolate Brownie - Chocolate Brownie from BEAM is the second flavor the brand has produced for its Vegan Protein. While a lot of companies go for single flavor chocolate I found this was hybrid milk chocolate and swiss chocolate combination. As the flavors mesh together you will notice how strong and bold the flavors compliment each other. Brownies have a diverse chocolate flavor that resembles fudge, and in this protein you will pick that up on the backend. How BEAM can replicate a dessert into a vegan protein powder is truly remarkable. The three things that stand out are the mouth-feel, creaminess, and minimal amount of chalkiness from the protein powder.

Mixability

BEAM Vegan protein is much creamier than most vegan protein powders on the market. The two inclusions of Smooth Protein and Clean Cream leave a smooth and creamy consistency. I found 8-10oz of water or almond milk to be a sweet spot per scoop with the BEAM Vegan Protein. I also make protein pudding where you place a scoop of protein in a bowl and slowly add water to form a thick paste. Both are common ways to use the protein, and I found zero clumps when mixing in both fashions.

Formula

Calories ~ 100
Fat ~ .5g
Carbs ~ 3g
Protein ~ 20g

Protein -à Pea Protein, Mung Bean Protein (High bioavailability and leucine), Pumpkin Seed Protein
Clean Cream & Smooth Protein (Create the ultimate texture / mouth feel)
Apple Fiber & Blueberry Fiber
Gum Blend (Thickener)

Pros
- Incredible Taste
- Very Pure Flavor
- Mixes Smooth for Vegan Protein
- No Chalky Aftertaste

NutraBio quick reviews:

As a whole, the flavors are "light" as Bob and others have mentioned. Not necessarily a bad thing but they're not as bold or in your face as some other brands. This works great for baking and also allows me to do 2 scoops in water without it being an overpowering shake. So not necessarily a pro or con but something to be aware of.

Pistachio - Light with a nutty aftertaste. Really enjoyed it and the man thing I was hoping was that they'd avoid the synthetic / sweetener taste since it's a bit of a unique flavor to strive for. Overall, this is a pretty cool flavor to keep on the shelf for no other reason than to have something to mix it up in a while. Also made some killer pancakes with it (did this will all of the flavors actually).

Banana - Really unique and enjoyable. Has some of that sweet bourbon undertone which I enjoyed. Similar aspects to the Pistachio - lightly flavored, not too sweet or "fake", and enjoyable as a whole. An interesting take on banana protein.

Blueberry muffin - Bob nailed it on this when he mentioned the "buttery" and bready type flavors of this protein. For someone who's been drinking shakes for 15+ years it's definitely the closest thing to a bakery-bought blueberry muffin. The baked outer layers, not overly-done on the blueberry, and the buttery finish. Pretty incredible how far protein flavoring has come imo.

Donut - This one is fantasticcccc for donuts. Some Koadiak pancake mix, scoop of this, and some Fairlife milk and I am good to go. Has the cinnamon outer flavor, a hint of that buttery flavor I mentioned, and overall another great tub to keep on hand.

Enjoyed these and can see myself reordering in the future for sure. Another few samples I had recently were Protizyme as I got some $1/samples. The peanut butter and butter pecan cookie were godlike. Creamy, flavor on point...wow - definitely going to be grabbing some tubs of them in the future!!!

Also - just curious, has anyone ever recreated or remade the Modern Protein flavors? I REALLY miss that Vanilla and the Twix bar flavors, some of the best I ever had.

Totally agree that some of the Modern flavors were stellar... the strawberry cheesecake was one of my all-time favorites.
