Immune support supplement

Hey, I was just wondering what works best to help boost your immune system. I hate getting sick, but somehow manage to get sick quite frequently during the winter months... So, I'm looking for something to help eliminate or significantly reduce the number of colds I catch...

There are a number of great products out there, and as a generalization, seek out antioxidants. Simple and affordable pick-ups can be green tea caps (bulk product at NP), Apple Cider Vinegar, and clearly a well-rounded multivitamin.

I'm a pretty big proponent of RPN's "Gut Health", which has proven itself for many members here. I've been using it as a staple for the past year or so, and coupled with the necessary due efforts to staying healthy (adequate sleep is pivotal), I've been very fortunate. Do check it out, especially since the price is right.

Some nice suggestions so far. Something else. Beta- 1,3/1,6 glucans, or more simply, beta-glucans. As biological defense modifiers, beta-glucans are some of the most powerful immune-system modulators known to science.

coenzyme q-10/emergen-c keep me healthy even in indiana's frigid winters. i never get a flu shot and haven't had a cold or flu in over 5 years.

I was thinking of this one when I saw the thread title. From what I have gathered, the best form for immune system support is the one mentioned, beta-1,3/1,6 glucans, derived from baker's yeast, and not barley or oats.

I just started taking some within the past week because of the bitter-freaking cold & snow we've been getting (I get to shovel it), and I already had a minor sinus infection to begin with. We'll see. I've started at 250mgs x2/day, and will probably drop that to a maintenance dose of 250x1/day soon.

Glutamine.

Controversial, I know, but I believe the information I've read that suggest that it does help the immune system and recovery.

cordyceps, unbelieveable stuff for preventative immune care. echinacea is good for the onset of an illness, but not for chronic use.

Gut health, NoXidant plus Poseidon :) You can the 3 of them on NP as the Rejuvenation stack. Also a good MultiVit, 7-8 hours sleep a night does me fine too!

You don't want to be burning the candle at both ends ;)
