Please look up flexible dieting instead. Otherwise you'll just see how some people take IIFYM to the extreme.
 
IIFYM is fine if you still eat smart meaning whole foods and are wary of micros.

I like how Mike Israetel in his "Renaissance Diet" book puts it...
In order of importance: 1) Calorie Balance 2) Macronutrients 3) Nutrient Timing 4) Food Composition followed by 5) Supplementation
So the IIFYM idea falls into the first two categories of biggest influences on diet, and each successive category having less impact overall.

Not to say he's the only one to say this :) but the message is a good one.

yeah im not a huge fan of IIFYM but for most people that just want to lose a little weight or so its ok... i usually just suggest it to people that struggle to gain weight as an add on to a good diet
