Iconic Formulations ThermoAmp and Neuro Melatonin

I think Tuna’s guess about the calcium due to that study makes about as much sense as anything. BUT, knowing that it’s the product doesn’t change how we address it really.

Make sure there’s some baseline potassium. You eat a lot of fruit and veggies, okay moving on.

Plenty of water, quite possibly too much but it’s in there so moving on. We may just need more sodium to match the liquid.

Magnesium supplement got dropped. This is a glaring hole. A vast majority of Americans, including you, do not consume enough magnesium via diet. It’s like the only thing I tell all gen pop to consume supplementally. Ideally a zinc-mag supp because many folks could do with more zinc, and all lifters, but let’s focus on hydration. So get 3-400mg of magnesium back supplementally in your diet, unless you have been eating an entire tub of Blue Diamond almonds every day as a staple & intend to continue. Form doesn’t matter that much if you aren’t worried about calming effects for anxiety, so pick one that is cheap & convenient.

If that doesn’t fix it, add a bit more salt in. To food, or water, or you can buy thermo tabs. If you haven’t already been salting your intra water a little, you have been leaving gains on the table. Sodium is a massive co-factor in muscle pumps.

I'm pretty sure I'm still getting around 300mg of magnesium per day from food, my multi and a couple other supplements. I don't think water is too high because of the amount of my workload from work, lifting, boxing ect. , I just dropped the magnesium supplement. Not really dropping it, just ran out and didn't order more yet.

Definitely could use more salt and cut back on the calcium rich products.

So moving forward I will double check how much magnesium I'm taking in, cut back a little on calcium and add more salt.

Yesterday only 2 twitches, today so far only 1.

Just did the math out, not quite a gallon and a half it's 134-154 Oz on an average day and then on top of that some half and half and fairlife milk and the occasional diet Coke. So it's about a gallon and a half of fluids just not a gallon and a half of actual water

Yes, that’s probably too much liquid relative to the amount of salt you’re ingesting and activity/perspiration you have. Up the salt a little.

And your dietary intake of 300mg total magnesium is still a joke relative to your daily needs. If you take any other supplement at all and aren’t taking magnesium, you are stepping over dollars to pick up dimes.

Making me think I need to check my supps and see if I'm getting enough mag.

You recommended Smont up his intake by 3-400mg, is that the total (above what wexd be getting from food) that we should all be looking for from our multi's/supps?

Took me forever but I finally caught up after missing a couple of days. Hope the cramping issue gets resolved (and the mystery solved), sounds like you might be on the way there though.

Doubt this will help, but I got knocked down at hockey about a week ago. Went into the boards a little weird, legs first, and got a cramp in my calf just getting back up on my skates. Sometimes one weird movement is enough to give me momentary cramps in my calves or feet, even just lying in bed.

Doesn't sound like this was your issue, but throwing it out there in case it's not a water/electrolyte thing.

I went to do my 30 min boxing and I walked into a minefield lol.

As soon as I walked through the door I was told get ready 😕

Conditioning work, circuit training style, 2min on 30sec off for 10 rounds.
Rowing machine, spin bike, side and front lateral raises with 15's, jump rope, 5lb db shadow boxing and repeat.
Then 6 rounds of boxing alternating between the heavy bag and someone holding mitts for me.
Then 50 rep 3/4 squats with 135.
Basically put the bar on your back and get in your boxing stance and squat down to about just above parallel like you would ducking a punch.

This is what I needed and that 10 round circuit is apparently my warm up now lol.

Also I was given a 9min footwork and combination drill to do before bed every night. Each week we will add a minute and a new combination.

Now I feel a nice revamp to my motivation

Footwork and combo drills before bed, that's genius. Your brains is gonna cement those in so they become automatic almost immediately.

Anytime I want to learn something (scripture memorization, song lyrics) I try to do some review/practice before sleep. I'm a big believer in the theory that this works wonders for learning just about anything you want to learn/retain/improve.

Ya that's definitely a part of it. Basically he wants to make it the last thing I do every day because I'm having so many problems with it. My ankle doesn't work correctly so I have to put a lot of effort into how I step and turn ect. Every time I do it wrong the first thing I end up doing is dropping my hands and it's a glaring weakness. It also makes me step off balance

Yes, that’s the ideal supplemental range tolerability wise for most, as well as essentially meeting the RDA for average people w/ subpar diets. But active/athletic/muscular individuals like Smont will have higher needs realistically, as they are putting their muscles through more routine work, so even with a diet rich in magnesium it’s extremely common to see benefit adding it in.

I just bought 300 cap bottles of a 400mg blend for $9 on sale, or less than $1/month. Don’t get ripped off. And a tub of Iodized Salt is $2 or something, so both are very reasonable solutions if anyone notices similar with ThermoAmp.

Hydration I think is the lowest possibility I drink about a gallon and a half of fluids per day just in the form of water alone. I'm thinking more like a electrolyte imbalance or as someone brought up there is a link between forslean and calcium causing cramps and I get a lot of calcium. So I'm leaning towards that
It can increase absorption of calcium which could be due to it's action on increasing thyroid . So, you said you eat pretty high calcium already and it may have contributed

Holy hell my legs are sore today, more sore then my last straight led day. Between the high intensity peddling and the high rep squats in my boxing stance I feel like there was more quad action then I normally would get trying to work the quads. Because I'm going to be doing this a few times a week I'm thinking I should cut out any other leg work during the week and only directly hit legs on Fridays so I have the weekends to recuperate.

Anyways, if anyone is interested I dropped to 2500 calories yesterday.

The first 1700-1800 calories of the day is pre boxing workout and the last 700-800 will be left for dinner and whatever else I want if it fits.

So yesterday was my couple coffees, protein bar.

Hit the gym with eaa's

Spinach salad with grilled chicken and Greek yogurt dressing some hummus and raw cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes.

A small bowl of fruit with Greek yogurt and chia seeds

Then hit the boxing gym with more eaa,

That worked out to 1725 calories

Then dinner was a grilled chicken wraps with lots of lettuce and some avacado, taco sauce and chipotle sauce

And last I had some ham and eggs in a scramble with spinach.

So I'm basically doing meat, fruit vegetable all day, dinner will have rice or a wrap with meat and vegetables and last meal is whatever I can fit. Might be a scramble or it might be protein pudding.

Next time I prep il snap some photos for a visual.

Any time I want to loose fat I bring in more fruit and vegetables and try to lower my fat. Tends to work very good at getting me ripped by general public standards. If I wanna take it a step further that's when I find it necessary to start eating a bro diet. Chicken, egg whites, vegetables. Eliminate the dairy, stopping the If It fits your macros type of stuff I do.

But in general I also just like eating more fruits and vegetables and because I love condiments I found Greek yogurt to be a versatile high protein substitute for many sauces and dressing

so how is thermoamp affecting this?

With everything you are doing and your knee & ankle, once a week actual leg day should be perfect. They’re getting a lot of other usage.

I also use a ton of different types of seasonings. I found spice beast to be one of the best.

so how is thermoamp affecting this?
Be a little more specific, are you just asking from a aspect of how is thermoamp effecting fat burning? If so I would say it's a little early to tell so far it seems to be a useful tool. I feel like my body composition is already changing and I know from a few tests that my insulin sensitivity is improving. For me in general when I diet I always kinda see waves. Weight drops fast week 1 and levels off week 2. I make adjustments and by weeks 3-5 I'm full swing, I actually just had my cousin give me 20 extra thermoamp caps. Apparently he bought it around Christmas for new years resolution and quit half way through. So his loss my gain.
Looks like I have a extra 10 days for this log and maybe il still grab another bottle. I like to give things longer then a month to see what's what

Bill who owns it is a great guy. He prides himself on only using the best ingredients.
Is this spice beast out of Middletown NY?

That's what popped up when I searched it. If so that's only about 2.5 hours from my house and I'm actually going to be about 30min from there next weekend

Yes I think he is. My kid lives on his big buzz.

Serious doms today lol, wtf!
Skipped boxing completely, went for a long walk and that's about it. Hopefully it's not worse tomorrow. I definitely hit a couple muscles that haven't had any activity in a long while

On my way to the vitamin shop so Hyde will stop yelling at me for my poor magnesium consumption 😞 any other suggestions?
Getting magnesium, ubiquinol or coQ10, extra vitamin d3, and some eaa

Should all be good buys. I know Ubiquinol is expensive but I do shell out for it given the overall nature of my PED use & being in my thirties now, when conversion enzymes for regular Coq10 decrease.

I found some bottle of 400mg mag (300 caps each) on Amazon (buy 3 bottles get em for $7 a piece).

Gonna take a week to get to me, but I figure I'll be stocked up for a long time for cheap.

In case anyone else is looking to stock up long term.

Agree, I usually look at the price of ubiquinol vs a double dose of coQ10 and go with whatever one is more cost effective. There usually about even and I go with ubiquinol

I don't know exactly how to log today's work out but it was basically a 2.5 hour circuit training session.
Started off making a upper body circuit or giant set, whatever you wanna call it. 15 reps each bench, t-bar row and side laterals.
Invalid Link Removed
Followed that with 3 min rounds rotating through the rowing machine, spin bike and some kind of pull down style rowing machine, and jumping rope.

Then moved on to alternating rounds heavy bag and mits. That's where it was supposed to end but I hopped in with the beginner strength training class and just did everything they did for sets of 30 lol.

Then hopped into a HIIT cardio boxing class and made it 26 min out of 45 and called it quits. Did that all and only ate 1000 calories so far today so I'm gonna go make some burgers or something and probably make some kind of high protein dessert. I never made it to the supplement store but il go after I eat or hit up Walmart if there closed

Nice work out man. I just finished mine but reading yours makes me wanna get back out in the garage and lift more.

Enjoy them burgers or whatever dinner ends up being, you've earned it

My feet and ankles will rebel tomorrow morning

2 week recap, only lost 0.5,lbs this week but I'm completely ok with it, the mirror is telling my I made improvements in body composition. If I had to make a guess I've definitely lost some fat and for the past 5ish days I've been drinking more water and sodium and that's giving me some water retention, but in a good way. Muscle looks full and midsection looks a little better. I have to go double check calories but I know I was pretty close the past 4 days. I will not be lowering them and I will keep increasing my cardio. The last 4-5 days of this log il cut my carbs just to see how much water drops and take my after pictures.

Heading right back to the gym. Legs are feeling better today and work is slow so...... Well see what happens

Off to the gym on 3 hours of 😴. Spent half the night in the casino on the poker table lol. It was worth it tho, il take a nap laterInvalid Link Removed

When I'm just playing poker I typically have good days/nights but, the hard part is not sticking my winnings in a slot machine on the way out lol

I'm up $2400 in poker this week and only managed to blow $600 of it in the high roller slots.

I'm one of those ppl that eliminated all the bad habbits in there life and replaced it with more bad habbits lol.

Didn't want to push it in the gym but I still got a decent workout. Legs and triceps, why that combination? Well because those are the two things I haven't done since Monday so 🤷Invalid Link Removed
The short rest periods made everything feel heavier.

196.7 this morning

Gonna slug a protein shake, drop the kids off at school and hit the boxing gym, fuk it lol. Il take a nap after

Empty gym this morning, loved it!Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed

Nice breakfast

Tomorrow is my birthday, there will be a couple nice food porn pics for the day, on that note fellas tomorrow the diets off lol.

I'll try to keep it reasonable though I'm going to only eat two or three meals total for the day instead of my usual five and try to balance the calories out that way

Lunch was a odd one, I really was craving a piece of pie so I ordered 15 cocktail shrimp, a 4oz serving of turkey (tried to wipe off the gravy lol) and then had a small piece of cherry pie and a diet CokeInvalid Link Removed

Not sure why the picture was so fuzzy, my pie photo came up as a black screen. I think this phone is on its last leg

I know this is very unnecessary, but I'm bored and I want to justify all the food I'm going to eat tomorrow so I'm heading back to the box and gym to do some more rounds on the bag lol. Maybe I'll squeeze in someone's class too

Thanks. Since I don't drink or anything anymore I typically celebrate with food, lots of food.

Got the day planned out. Gonna go get a nice omlette with home fries for breakfast. A sushi roll or 2 around lunch and for dinner I'm gonna go get a big hummus and veggie platter and a porterhouse steak

Sounds like sensible foods considering. Enjoy it.

I know I'm trying to be reasonable, I'm sure they'll be some desserts squeezed in there, don't count me out yet lol

You need to enjoy the special days otherwise the ones we work hard on don’t matter as much.
