Okay, this may sound strange, but recently I’ve switched from coffee to bang or reign energy drinks(usually only at pre workout time , or around my workout) and I feel so much better. When I was drinking 1-2 cups of coffee my anxiety was worse and I always had that “impending doom, sinking chest feeling”. Kind of like when you ride a roller coaster. Most people who deal with anxiety will know what I’m talking about. The funny thing is coffee MAKES ME LETHARGIC. I honestly don’t even get it. Coffee causes me a combination of anxiety and lethargy. Also , my acid reflux was horrible which is pretty common, though.
I stopped consuming coffee , or espresso type drinks and now I’ll just drink a bang or reign 2/3 hours after waking up and 1 hour or 30 mins before my workout. I have a nice steady energy and focus with these and no crash. They help my energy without that dark, anxiety feeling.
My theory is maybe I was getting more caffeine drinking coffee due to different brew strengths, brands, etc? vs now, I know I’m getting 300 mg which is enough caffeine for the day and I won’t consume any more? I drank the coffee black or with stevia.
