I Am Legend - Trailer !!!

I worked on this. I think you all will be pleased. But then, I never saw the final cut. That's where things can and usually do go wrong.

you work on movies? hook a brotha up. anyway. i want to see american gangster. vampires.. just dont cut it for me.

I usually think the same towards vampire movies but then I think of Lost Boys and Underworld and I say,"Okay.".

yea underworld was the **** dood. crazy good, that girl was hawt too. but uh., vampires cant touch this, so they better watch it

oh yea and he saved the world at least three times from aliens, and he can do a rubix cube in like ten seconds, aint no vampire gonna touch him.

Trust me bro. If you're not someone's nephew, it takes FOREVER to make any head way. Depending on what you want to do, you may never get there. Doing a good job isn't even a guarantee of anything. I just happen to be a stubborn sumb!tch that works hard, minds his business, was in the right place at the right time and it finally happened. I almost always try to talk people out of it...unless you live in LA which is a whole different ball game. VERY difficult on the East Coast.

Lets not forget he also fought a giant stainless steel spider wearing nothing but a cowboy hat and chaps.... and won.

wow...that came out of left field...I kinda wish they would have sticked closely to the book (which it looks like they haven't). Read the book folks. It's probably the most "realistic" vampire movie book ever. No huge explosions and all that bull****.

Yep, I've read the book back in the day. First all nighter I ever pulled with one.... very, very good.

When you say you worked on it, in what capacity behind the scenes stuff or actor or what?

Behing the scenes. 2nd 2nd AD. I doubt I'll even get a credit as I was filling in for a buddy that was doing something else that week.

Wasn't Arnold supposed to star in this one? Looks badass either way - Will Smith is a great action star..,

Will Smith just doesn't work for me, even though he's straight out of Philly, he's just got that "Fresh Prince" face.

The world needs a new action star!

Can any of you guys act!!!

yep it was supposed to be arnold and sorry i cant get past will smith fresh prince face and those damn big ears of his..we def need a new action hero

Will Smith is alright, I enjoy most of his action movies. Would have been sweet if Arnie would have got the ball rolling on this one a few years ago though.

As for action stars, what about Matt "Jason Bourne" Damon, or Nicholas "Johnny Blaze" Cage.

What ever happened to the up and coming action oriented stars like Vin Diesel and The Rock? I was banking on one of those two.:smite:

It does kinda suck because no one has really fit the bill now that guys like Arnold and Stallone are past their prime - Vin Diesel could have been the guy but he fell prey to the metrosexual hollywood onslaught, Jason Statham and the new James Bond dude are very good but still dont command the screen like the big action stars from the 80s - Arnold, Stallone, Kurt Russell, Bruce Willis....

Vin Diesel could still do it if he started getting into the sci-fi action type roles that got him started (Pitch Black is one of my favorite movies)...I remember reading he was told to 'slim down' because he was 'too muscular'...

Bastards.... I remember reading about Dwayne Johnson falling prey to the same thing. Kinda makes you wish Brandon Lee was still around.

And Snake Plissken ROCKS!!!:head:

Hell yeah he does:) You remember Big Trouble In Little China? Ive seen that movie like 2000 times and it never gets old:)

Shoot yeah, man. Who could forget the big semi, the huge hairy monster, the guy with the long a$$ fingure nails, and Rayden before mortal kombat.

Kurt Russel doesn't get enough props as an action star IMO. Him and Carpenter made some classic all time great movies together. "The Thing" is probably one of my favorite sci-fi/action flicks ever.

the rock(dwayne johnson) couldnt act in a high school play..it sux because from his wrestling persona there were such high hopes,

the thing and big trouble in little china town rocked..2 of my biggest guilty pleasures..the original bw Thing was very good too..Kurt russel was very good and c'mon what about bruce willis..hell i think he could have handle "I am legend"

Oh, no doubt he could. Brucy boy will always be John McClain in my eyes.... that or Hudson Hawk.

You know something... I just thought of someone who could be the next action star if he got more offers. Thomas Jane, check out The Punisher and you'll know what I'm talking about.

haha forgot about hudson hawk..willis has had some great movies..i know a lot of people hated it but i love Unbreakable..probably because im a total comic geek

off topic...sorry but whenever i see your screen name i keep wanting to read it as "prostaglandins" .... i know im strange...

Vin Diesel is currently looking for locations and shooting Hannibal in Spain in which he will act (Hannibal) and direct. He was just a goof-ball, though. I thought he was great in Pitch Black and Boiler Room but in everything else, they just tried to make him "too cool." It just got silly. He was like a bald, bi-racial Fonzie. I thought he did an OK job in that court-room drama where he played that gangster but it was pretty borderline. And on the set of The Pacifier he was a total douche and had a bodyguard that would "escort" him off set after every scene. Not to mention all the gay rumors that are swirling.
Nicholas Cage, hmmm, maybe when he was younger. He totally had it but this whole Elvis persona thing is just straight WACK!!!
I think Dwayne Johnson could still pull it out but his choice of movie roles leaves alot to be desired. I just seems like these guys become "stars" waaay before they become actors and never take a class or try to improve their skills. Thomas Jayne is a GREAT actor but unfortunately, he's the most femme straight man I have ever seen in my LIFE! I don't buy him as a tough guy.
But as far as the curent crop of actors, I think Brad Pitt could still pull it off as well as Diesel. Statham's too bald and the new James Bond guy is too...European.

Has Brad Pitt ever done an action flick? Don't count the epics like Troy other wise Orlando Bloom would be a dam action sevant.

Oh man...my Dad rented 'The Thing' when I was 4 years old, and my mom made me go to bed before they watched it. But I snuck down the hallway and hid behind the couch...I was so terrified I couldnt move for the whole movie. That changed my life forever;)

I do think there is a huge hole as far as 'real' action stars go. Even the lesser known actors of the 80's and 90's had loads more onscreen personna than the guys they're trying to push as heroes today. Remember Dolph Lundgren in "I Come In Peace"? Or Rody Piper in 'They Live'?? Howabout pretty much every role Rutger Hauer ever starred in!!

The difference is, and I dont mean to sound old, but back in the day it was honorable and cool to be a man. These days with the feminazi tirade and metrosexual onslaught guys are just confused as to what it means to be a dude - and that's reflected in pop culture.

rutger hauer played in a great movie with mathew broderick called Lady Hawk..anyone remember that? very good movie

you cant mention rutger without bringing up Blade Runner, also has one Harrision ford in it..great action heroe

Rutger Hauer and Gene Simmons when Rutger played a bounty hunter, I forget the name of that one.. He killed Gene with a grenade in his mouth at the end.. ;)

You may laugh you may not but I honestly loved "Joey" from friends as the kick ass major in "Lost In Space" the movie. He does the hard ass thing really well. I think he should be given more movie time.

Invalid Link Removed Simmons was awesome,.. great call !

Split Second sold me on old rutger boy as a bad a$$.

V I agree with you on the whole pop metrosexual aspect of Hollywood society, it's quit easy to tell that it's leaking into the movie's as well.

Split Second is one hell of a movie...you ever see the original 'The Hitcher' where Hauer plays the psycho? I didnt even bother watching the new one because I knew it couldnt even hope to come close.

Bv
