i am for phil

And you are a rep for a big company around here? How embarrassing.

He was kidding, Piston and T go way back, ever since I can remember being on this forum. 2 of the coolest guys you'll ever 'meet'. We might disagree on some stuff, but we can still all joke around. :-) Beside.....Piston would know. ;-)

BigT and I respectfully disagree on some issues in this thread. But we both agree: Lisa Castro = HNNGGGGGHH

Ok, my fault fellas. I apologize. I think it is the whole tone of this thread that set me wrong and I took it into these posts.

That is true and I should have reacted better because of that.

it's all good, online venting is good for the soul and hopefully we all win in the end!!!

as a straight male i find homosexuality hard to understand, but at the same time a non-alcoholic would not understand why a alcoholic would continue getting drunk even though it is ruining his life, and health, and making the lives of those around him miserable.... in case you didn't know i am a recovering alcoholic.

i am 55 and all through my formible years homosexuality was considered abhorrent behavior, all of sudden i am told i have to accept it as normal....i hope you can understand the difficulty this presents. it is not any easier when people say that i am now the abhorrent one for an attitude that was the normal for the majority of my life.

i am much more tolerable now than when i was younger, but i still take issue with the in your face attitude. my opinion is what you do in your bedroom is your business, i don't need to know about it.... sex takes up such a small portion of a 24 hour day, as a whole we are much more than than what our sexual preferance might be.

Yeah, figured this type of garbage is what you'd bring out. And that's what it is, actual garbage. Piston beat me and said it all already.

Then again, we'd figure from the man who told us how immoral and wrong it was to get blowjobs after telling us he got blowjobs.

I hate to say this because I'm not a mean guy, but people with these type of views make the world worse off. They are so nonsensical, irrational, and hate filled it is mind boggling that we would both be described as humans.

Luckily, people with these views are in the minority and the future generations are more educated on these issues. They can look up their elders and call bull**** with information online in seconds when they hear the garbage.

i didnt say getting a blowjob is immoral or wrong, i said at one time it was illegal and it is still considered oral sodomy, a deviant sexual behavior.. why? because the common sense biology of it is that the mouth is for chewing and partially digesting food and the penis is for pissing and ejaculating semen to reproduce. Even a nitwit can figure that out through a lil common sense. My argument is instead of trying to come up with all these half ass excuses and pure stupid arguments just admit that anthing outside of hetersexual intercourse is a perversion or deviation of nature/natural order and done only to satisfy lust, deviant sexual desire or just plain old pleasure. Even a 2 year old knows the penis aint designed to stick in someones arsehole or down someones throat, why cant you? This is what happens when talking monkeys have too much free time playing with their meat stick instead of focusing on developing their brain with math & science. I'm just stating the facts of the matter. Now just because i like getting a blowjob doesnt mean I'm gonna justify the behavior and say its a healthy normal sexual function, I know its not but I dont give a shiat, and im gonna keep getting them so long as women continue to degrade themself and keep giviing them ;)

and everything in that link has citations, it doesnt matter where the link originates its the information that is important. If you dont know that repetitive homosexual ass sex is going to cause the eventual need for colostomy bags, anal stitches and other potential medical conditions then you are a idiot. That lifestyle is unhealthy and dangerous. Homosexuals are the largest AIDS population and pose a threat to health & welfare of society. You can look at the data & statistics from WHO, CDC & other agencies to get a understanding of the crisis we are dealing with.

The most important thing in any paper that wants to be respected is that the data/facts comes from proper sources. So it really does matter where the link originates. I.E. Peer reviewed, unbiased, not sponsored, replicable, etc.

That is what it comes down to.. Family value, good morals...
These guys r truly good family men.....
:) I couldn't agree more ...

Family first and always is something I think we all can agree on.

I agree. I just feel like that should extend to gay family members as well. Sadly, it doesn't seem as if Phil agrees it should. Why wouldn't we accept our family members (or community members) the way they are? Loving people regardless of religion, political affiliation, sexual orientation, social class, etc. Isn't that the family values we would want for us?

i have my own closet, i get mad when my wife moves things around so she just leaves it be....there might be some skeletons in there somewhere, but good luck on finding them, lol...

i think it is a stretch to say someone who doesn't understand homosexuality, and thinks it is wrong, is demonizing it....seriously now, i said this before, us older guys grew up in a time when homosexuality WAS demonized...it is a little disconcerting that the same society who not many years ago condemned homosexuality as depraved behavour is now condemning those that grew up thinking that was the right way to think....some of you so called 'open minded' people are awfully anxious to throw under the bus those that don't think the way you do it seems.

People disliking or being afraid of people who are different from them is not new. It happens with race, with gender, with sexual orientation. I'm not going to accept the words of someone and not call out bigotry when I see it just like I would like to believe if I had grown up before I wouldn't call out racism and sexism back when it was "common practice."

This is a narrowing view though and if one looks at public opinion polls younger generations are much more accepting of these differences than older ones. I don't view people who think different from me as worse off in any ways, but I don't have to stay silent when I see bigotry.

I'm not saying the way I view things is correct, we all think that otherwise it wouldn't be our view.

It's not only when you grew up, it's also where you grew up. Lack of exposure can naturally create dislike for the unknown. I was raised in a very rural setting and until I reached college had not been exposed to a lot of things discussed in this thread.

through the course of history humanity whim of right mean nothing

""You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them. But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."

"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

You want to know who God is then read what Christ had to say. He is the New Covenant - the Old (covenant) Testament is no longer valid. So do not reference it.

Homosexuality, adultery, murder, stealing, envy, gluteny are all sin and seperate us from God. Christ offers all of us sinners reconcilliation with God.

When people who don't know the bible use the bible to invalidate the bible it is quite silly.

Sadly most have no idea of what faith is because it is counter-intellectual and counter-logical/reasonable and therefore they reject it. Sadly far too many very intelligent people are victims of themselves. They have great intellectual capacity to define and metaphore what a paradox principle is yet are completely and hopelessly powerless to live by it.

Inserting religion and mythology into a faith discussion is foolish. Discussing faith with someone who has no idea what faith is or how to practice it is equally foolish.

"Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become fools so that you may become wise."

I have absolutely the same proof you do. None. But "the substance of things hoped for by the evidence of the unseen" have been abundant in my life. "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." It does not say mind, logic, reason or any other faculty. All of those faculties contradict time after time after time. I cannot find Him on my terms.

My God is a creator and nurturer - He created me perfectly and nurtures esteem just as your father should. Do you have a son or daughter whom your brought into the world whom you tell "you are my second or third most greatest". No. That would be counter instinctive and counter productive.

Blaming sin for the absence of a God is naive.

As far as alien life - my faith and knowledge of my God does not cause me to become ignorant nor do I dismiss that there may very well be other life in this vast universe that God created. Alien by definition means foreign. It does not mean that my same creator did not also create them and nurture them just as he has me.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known."---All posts made by David Dunn

if i understand you right, you are saying that if YOU thought homosexuality was wrong you would be speaking out AGAINST it louder than anyone?

and i would like to believe i would have stood up for the jews in hitlers nazi germany...talk is cheap!!! it is easy to say what you might have done, since we will never know!!!

remember my friend, the older generations are what made this country great, i would not be so eager to put them down...and i am including blacks, asians, latinos and women in that....also to be honest i am sure a fair amount of homosexuals played a role in the greatness of this country, but to say this current crop of youngsters are better than previous generations is horsecrap!!! i don't believe that YOU even believe that nonsense!!!!

do you even have a clue? phil goes on to say that even though he doesn't understand homosexuality, and his core belief tells him it is wrong...that we should love them anyways....quit hating on phil, it seems you are the one without any love...STOP HATING!!!!

if phil can have love for homosexuals, why can't you have some love for phil?

:hijacked:

i grew up poor in a mixed race urban neighborhood, we had blacks/whites/latinos, and a few asains...the one thing we ALL agreed on was that homosexuality was wrong, no one i knew growing up thought it was acceptable...it's just the way it was!!!

to our credit many of us are much more tolerable now than then, we are making an effort to be more understanding...but i can't speak for anyone else, all i can say is it is hard to change the way you have thought about something your entire life!!!

I tried not to get involved in this argument, but since I posted in the thread earlier I keep receiving notifications and can't help but read some of what is being posted. I'll continue my silence, but to this quoted post above, thank you.

I agree 100% with Phil Robinson on his statement, but Christian beliefs, as always, are tossed around by nonbelievers to make us appear that we wish to sacrifice homosexuals, because our bibles tells us it is wrong.

I do not hate homosexuals, as GOD commanded us all to love one another as he has loved us, but it is wrong in his eyes; therefore, I will not stand for it and say "it's right". The bible teaches us to love the sinner, but hate the sin; just because we don't agree with being gay doesn't mean we hate homosexuals.

I think the best approach here on this matter is for you all to agree to disagree. I mean this argument will change absolutely nothing, so in a way it is kind of pointless. Just my thoughts. :)

to our credit many of us are much more tolerable now than then, we are making an effort to be more understanding...but i can't speak for anyone else, all i can say is it is hard to change the way you have thought about something your entire life!!!

Young man please do not change your lifelong beliefs to impress some random people on the internet. Stand tall in your faith, just as Phil has. Even Jesus Christ himself was criticized for standing for what was right; why would any of us be treated any differently in standing on his word?
