Hyperextended Achilles

I know there are many factors (I.e. severity, age, genetics, diet, etc) but what is the general range of recovery.

I did not require crutches but tweaking it certain ways just walking, putting on pants etc would make this grown man cry in severe pain. It’s been a week and I can still unintentially move it a certain way and I feel the pain. Pain def cut in half, but I’m thinking it’ll be a decent time frame before I can train legs/calves again?

From people I’ve spoke with, Achilles’ tendon is not something you wanna **** with so I’m looking to play it safe. Anyone with experiences with this?

Make sure you move it and get plenty of blood in there
Ice is good to control inflammation, if there is no inflammation then don't ice it
Compression socks are awesome

After having minor tears in both achilles all I can recommend is be very easy on it for a few months, especially running and jumping, supplementing with glucosamine, chondroitin and msm should help.
It took over a year for mine to heal so you might want to look into MK 677 or peptides if your that way inclined.
