Yeah that is wild to me; they must feel so awful. They walk around red tinted and then turn purple - that’s just sticking your head in the sand. When I am turning bright red by end of set, I know my hemoglobin is 18+, RBC over 6.0, etc. Plus when there’s too much blood, it will push blood pressure too (and kidneys accordingly).
I mean realistic limits for stroke & such are higher than practitioners espouse, BUT the goal should not be to find the limits either! Then it’s too late. If you want to play the anabolic game, you need to keep up with the requisite phlebotomy to mitigate the overproduction. Or take less of whatever is raising it for you.
Very solid speed bench session. Things weren’t as tight as last week, so I know I did a good job keeping things more reserved this Wednesday. Got mobile, got some great bench practice in, and hit my tris & rear delts. Feeling good - today is my low day, then load up hard tomorrow for the big one Sunday
