Really enjoyed today. Glad I stuck to the plan and did not put a barbell on my back, letting it continue to recover happily from last Friday. Which let me just focus on actually training my LEGS & appreciate this work for what it was. I love to squat, but that is not just leg training - that’s training a big lift (which has a much higher training cost).

Put some Penetrex on my “bad” knee and used my 2-ply EFS sleeves, and had no knee issues today even using my heels for everything. Almost feels like maybe there had been a trapped loose body in the knee that finally worked itself free. Feels good even hours post training, which is not typical.
Do you like the Penetrex vs other topicals/transdermals?

how deep do you run your hack squats? Sometimes I have a tough time deciding on where bottom should be when I'm not upright and don't have a real idea of where parallel/hip crease is. when I'm running very light weight I tend to run them as deep as possible and often bottom out the last couple reps per set.
 
Do you like the Penetrex vs other topicals/transdermals?

I heard that it’s a common mild topical to help work through joint pain for some combat sports guys, so I gave it a try. I do think it’s a good product; seems to help ease things very rapidly and also dries very quickly. Doesn’t really leave any greasiness the way transdermals do. You can basically rub it all in, and it smells good.

I think it’s a better preparatory topical, while a curcumin TD would be better for recovery/inflammation management.

Through parallel, but I don’t try to bottom it out. I just try to get as deep as I need to build my squat.

The planks and glute bridges remind of my sciatica physical therapy regimen.

Yeah, definitely some good movements to help keep the back healthy and things firing optimally before lower body lifting.

It just got released yesterday, but I had reached out to Steve privately when PEA Relief got restocked the other month asking if ATP Elite was going to be around soon & if I should hold off my order. He said ATP Elite was done but there was a lot ahead of it for releases. He agreed to let me buy it unseen as long as I kept the profile confidential.

It just seems to let me do more at the back end of a session with less exhaustion & higher effort. I find it very similar to using the Creatine HCL from him along with the Triton TD from Apex, except there’s no gel to mess with. 3 caps is the whole serving!

I really only use TDs for specific scenarios; they’re a pain because I generally don’t keep my body shaved and I don’t like the dry time or feeling on my body. I use oral Curcumin daily, but only rarely apply it locally with TD, for example.

That's awesome, so sort of improved endurance / work capacity? I have 2 bottles of anabolic effect I've been saving for when I'm fully natty and I always loved how it seemed to have the same result + additional focus in my sessions.

Coincidentally I have some Triton right here at my desk still. I really liked that product, but i'm a bit hesitant with it because their carrier isn't as clothing friendly for me... dries a bit slower and stains shirts for me. Probably a better one for foot application when possible.

yeah I get that. I have a whole morning ritual. first thing I do after shower is put in the contacts with dry clean hands, then if I'm using a TD, goes straight to the shoulders, traps, triceps, biceps but I grow a full manvest if I'm not careful so I tend to keep those areas groomed lol.

Second great session in a row; not sure how long that can last but I’ll take it while I’ve got it!

Decided the point of speed work was to be fast, so I dropped the accommodating resistance down from minis to micros with a pair of chains AND pulled 20lbs off the bar. Lo & behold, I actually got fast - and it translated over to heavier weight lifted faster than last week on Spotos afterwards.
 
Did you hav good results with that specific supplement?
I think it does a good job preWO helping endurance, pump, and focus. I would not expect it to be effective for fat loss, as that is something even the injectable needs to be dosed quite high for. But all the other benefits can happen at much lower doses, and the transdermal seemed to pull that off for me.

Yeah I feel like I had similar results with XPG Carnitine as I did with XPG Pump. My plan is to eventually get the carnitine again to revisit it and have a final comparison thought.

Saw my ART doc yesterday who loosened up some bound up tissue on my RH lower back. Been having back pain when I first stand up in the morning since the pull last Friday until I can get loosened up, but after ART that no longer happened this morning.

Still did some extra stretching before I even got to the gym, and although my low back still felt weak & tired (had to put my belt on for 100k pulls) I was able to get some very light pulls in for decent practice overall. Feeling pretty good once everything cooled off too, so hopefully capacity will bounce back a lot next week.

Yeah man, you made me a believer in the ART docs…..mine is doing wonders for the old shoulder. They truly are experts at breaking up scar tissue and loosening up muscles.

I need to get off my ass and find an ART specialist. My lower back has been less than great for a while

I’m glad he loosened the bound up tissue.

Great bench session today; thought it would be **** from the increased fatigue from caloric restriction this week, but PEDs are indeed profound. Which is also why my weight is up, despite cutting for sure. I’ve eaten several servings of veggies and fruit each every day this week with much less rice or snacks. Longer intermittent fasts on days off training as well, more standing during work/intentional NEAT. I can already see a difference in how my shirts are fitting because I am simultaneously filling out more even with my stomach tightening marginally.

Last week I finally got my test up to 300/wk, AFTER I pulled my 530lb goal. That was important to me, to be able to do it on a powerbar with more of a TRT clinic dose (I did 525 from a deficit 4 weeks prior on 150/wk before beginning titration upwards).

Now this week I added 100 mast e & 30 tren ace to that 300 test e, plus 500mg L-carnitine daily. I was starting to feel a bit more volumized last week, but this week was like a switch was flipped. Between the ATP Elite & now the L-Carnitine injections, it feels like I can train like a demon.
 
I love Sunday sessions. Better fed, rested, usually more time available. I hear you on better fitting shirts. That's a great feeling tbh

Nice looking bench session for sure…..when your weight goes up and waist gets smaller that’s the best kind of trade off in training.💪😎👍

holy cow, I read like 48-72hours for tren vs what I know of var is supposed to be like 9hrs?
That sounds more or less right. You want to take Tren Ace about eod at a minimum, for the most part. So 3x a wk keeps it present in the system. If you are “really taking it” you’d want to pin daily though, to help mitigate the mental sides, sleep impact, libido, etc.

People may laugh at 30mgs of tren. But tren is tren, regardless of dose. There’s people blasting hundos of mgs of tren and barely lift or even look like it. Smart cycling for sure.

Elbows were feeling spicy when I tried the Hammer Incline, and shoulders/pecs generally pretty cashed too, so I decided to swap in some light high-rep DBs to just flush some blood and be done. Been pushing that machine pretty hard for a few weeks now.

Also glad to be done with the frickin’ buffalo bar wave, because the extra ROM is bearing me up. That moved pretty well tonight, plus I progressed Spotos by 5lb.

Back is getting better faster in the mornings, and today was easily best yet - barely had to do any dynamic movement this morning to get things loose before heading to the gym.

Everything was clicking right away on speed squats: despite how awful squatting on the giant cambered bar is in general, I felt like I was the man today. The dog was really intent on sleeping on one of the deadlift platforms this morning, so I just jumped in with the owner while he was pulling off blocks. Felt decently hard, but stronger than last week & definitely healthier overall.

Does it bug your low back pulling a sumo or mid sumo stance?
I don’t know; back has only been off these last 2 weeks since I made the 530 pull I wanted to the week after I overdid the Good Morning PR. Last week I am sure it would have still bothered it, but it’s possible it would have felt better today. I can keep it in the back pocket for next week if I think it may be better at the moment.
 
BW yesterday on Saturday, 4/5 was 246.6 so I have consistent scale trending that the diet is, in fact, working. Gear is titrating up, yet weight creeping down. Mast is bumping to 160/wk this week & been doing daily shots, no other changes.

Fasted all day yesterday; decided to skip training today and make this a full 60+ hour fast. It has been MANY months since a proper fast, so I need this as much for my health as any fatloss.

90 minutes of LISS today instead; food tomorrow to prepare for bench Tuesday.

Spent a month titrating cruise test from 150 to 300, then added the micro shots of Tren, finally adding the mast in last 2 weeks. Probably go to 200 next week on that.

Beach at end of month and just too damn fat to bulk; even for a powerlifter it would be silly.
I had a buddy experimenting with 25mg Tren E added to his bulk (ala Vigorous Steve) and initial weeks he said have been excellent for him as well. So far I have zero complaints & all positive to say. Just adds a little edge in training and drive, and mechanistically ideal for a deficit.
 
Down under 242lbs currently after a 65 hour fast. Had 3g sodium Saturday, 5g Sunday w/ 1g potassium, & 1G sodium today. I believe I actually woke up in ketosis yesterday based on feel, but either way day 2 was a very good day for energy, clarity, lack of hunger.

Today will be high carb. Pasta, pancakes, breads, etc. to get filled back out.

Yep Tren and Trest are probably the only compounds you can run that low and still get something out of them. But I agree Tren would be better when you’re cutting a little fat, but both compounds are so powerful that really people usually are running more than they “need”.😎👍

That's a great fast right there, 60 hours always feels amazing IMO. I'm grateful that you and Kleen got me into that a couple years ago. the more I learn and see the research come out the more I think most humans would really benefit from the anti inflammatory and autophagy effects of good fasts. Its a natural protection against cancer too.
 
Man, all this tren talk making me jelly. But the nor part of it, plus the amped up anger sides I hear about always keeps me away.

Those are going to be with higher doses at 30mg a week, those same sides are pretty unlikely IMHO.

Knew today I’d be a little short on the gas tank after not starting refueling until 1pm yesterday from the fast, but still added 5lbs to max chain bench from a month ago & progressed load on comp bench work.

I can definitely see the improvement in my core fat from the fast, so I’m happy I went through it.
