Got this one in at a commercial gym down in Arlington; pushed the session back until Sunday morning to recover from the travel and zero sleep Wednesday night. Had an awesome lift - 485x9 either ties or beats my PR with that weight, so things continue to cook!
Probably didn’t hurt that I loaded warmups for 2 flights of lifters the day prior; that was a good reminded of what you can be capable of with mindset. It probably took some out of my low back, all the bending over & constant weight changes, but the amount of adrenaline being surrounded by gassed up lifters all psyching up for competition is awesome. I was like a line-order cook, calling out orders, directing the flow, serving up whatever iron was ordered as fast as possible - it’s a rush.
