We will be fleeing in the morning from Hurrican Rita. We are taking as many supplements as we can with us except for Protein powders. Hopefully Galveston is still here when we return. Any order placed Wednesday will ship either Thursday or Friday as we will be on the road. THanks for your understanding.
Yancey

Matt - even if it does build to a Cat 4 as some of the models are predicting, I seriously doubt it stays there for 3+ days.
Katrina weakend before landfall by 30 mph.

Yancey - I'll drive over from BR and help you with those protein powders.

Seriously, good luck. My aunt and uncle are leaving from Dickinson early tomorrow.

I'm with you Yancey, I'm headed towards Dallas in the morning...I hope my house is here when I get back.Invalid Link Removed - Chris

Yeah, I know the feeling. The girlfriend is staying a little north of I-10, so that's another thing weighing on me. Plus, like you, I'm so worried about what I'm going to bring and what needs to stay. I'm losing my mind over here. I wish the best to you and yours and lets pray our homes are still standing. You're in my prayers man, stay safe.:)

I feel you. My wife is pregnant and with our new company, now this. Good luck. We will make it through.

What does not kill us only makes us stronger. Good luck to you, your wife, and the little one on the way. You'll be getting an order when everything gets back to normal. :)

This thing is getting fucking crazy. 3rd strongest 'cane in recorded history at 897 mb central pressure.
175 mph winds.

They're predicting once it hits land it will continue heading north almost following the I-45 path to Dallas and onward. Of course one it hits land it is no longer a hurricane, but the storm itself may still be nasty.
Some family and friends events have been cancelled this weekend due to Rita. I hope everyone gets out of the area in time. Looks like I'll be cleaning house and getting the guest room ready just in case.

relocate to NJ, we will take you in... you will only have to deal with that odd smell off of exit 15 on the NJ Turnpike

Best of luck to all those in the area.

Especially the people who were evacuated there from New Orleans.

Doesn't look like it is going to but best situation IMO is it hits New Orleans directly.

Most of the people are already evacuated and maybe it would convince people that it just might not be a good idea to build a city where you have to build walls to hold back one of the largest lakes in the country.

CROWLER

Most everyone is either out of the immediate strike area, or making an attempt to get there. I'm heading to Dallas tomorrow, as I'm north of Lufkin right now. It appears that the hurricane is predicted to be a cat. 4 when it makes landfall, and it looks as if it will me make landfall east of houston and galveston, so we'll be on the "clean" side of the hurricane, while port arthur and parts of Louisiana. Man, New Orleans and the rest of Louisiana can't catch a break.

We shall see...I hope things turn out well.

Yancey, just remember, everything will be ok in the end. My hopes and prayers are with you. You know the number if you need anything.
Luke

its looking better each day.. cat 3.. you guys should be alright as long as that High pressure system doesn't stay over the storm thus not allowing it to move along

I've got heavy rain off and on here in BR. The wind seems to gust to 35-40 mph. Still have power (obviously...), but not sure for how long.

Lake Charles & Sulphur are about to get hammered in the next 3-4 hours. Hopefully the Citgo refinery in L.C. doesn't get inundated. Same goes for Total in Port Arthur and ExxonMobil in Beaumont.
We need gasoline production!

Thank the Lord the Houston Ship Channel should be spared of bad inundation. With the northern/eastern winds, that should push the bay out away from all the plants.

We are up around the San Marcos area right now. No rain even came our way. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of damage in Galveston so we won't know until they let us go home. We started shipping out orders yesterday and will email tracking confirmation today. Thanks for your support guys.
