slanting and I mean real good angle helps if ur hitting outer/lower...some say, though I feel it in my inner/mid a hell a lot more. when I'm upright I feel it totally in my outer/upper. and when I slant forward and go behind the head, its all upper and even some shoulder. so depends on what ur target is. best way for me to target upper/outter lats only is to try and pull the bar apart on the decent. sort of like I'm trying to bend it like a bow.

If I am going for width I stay at a 90 degree angle. If I'm going for thickness (like now) I lean back and use reverse grips and v-handles.

I slant back when doing front cable pulldown, it feels more normal, but I try not to build momentum in the slanting back.

Though I do a lot of Behind Neck Pull Ups, so I cant slant back in that exercises :P

i lean back but still pull straight down (pull toward lower chest) whereas some lean back to a point where the cable is being pulled at an angle:nono: i try and get my hips up further so i can do this...save the angle crap for the rows as you are just wasting energy with shtty form!

I do when going heavy, because it's either have bad posture by leaning forward (total accident, but bad habit) or lean back with it so I keep correct posture. I will take the latter.

I do if I go heavy. I lean back a little, but I don't rock with it like I see a lot of people doing. My warm-up sets are always strict.
