How important is Glutamine?

Would sustami e not have the same benefits on the gut as normal l glutamine??

Doesn't sustamine have data showing it actually does something for BBing? If that's the case, then it would have much more benefit than normal glutamine.

Yes I was diagnosed after a colonoscopy back in my early 20's. I had been on dicyclomine for it until I had to keep upping the dosage so much that it would have become toxic. Years ago, since I went on low carb the symptoms have significantly improved. What also works for me is Psyllium husk. I've tried probiotics which don't really make any noticeable difference at all. The only time I really have trouble is when I "carb up". Thanks for the help cooper. It's more of a condition I've just learned to live with and not as bad is it once was when I was first diagnosed.

Yeah unfortunately with IBS we have not nailed the cause completely. Like I said, research within the past 2 years (very recent) shows that many cases are related to bacterial overgrowth in an ectopic site like the small intestine. Besides the lactulose test, you could also ask your doctor for Tegasarod maleate if your IBS is constipation predominant, though I'm guessing it's diarrhea predominant based on your previous medication.

Psyllium does indeed help with symptoms in a lot of cases (though not all), so it's good you respond to that.

Sustamine is supposed to help endurance a little but it was way too expensive to be practical last time I checked. Also its better for cardio iirc

Coop do you buy into the whole leaky gut/food intolerance concept?
