How do you know if you wasted a filter?

I was pushing some oil through a .20um millex GP syringe filter.

DAMN it is hard as hell taking approx 1 minute to push just 10 ccs. So I suck up another 10 ccs and start pushing then it became ALOT easier.

It still was NOT easy but instead of getting little drops of water coming out of the needle I was getting a stream. Took about 20 seconds to push 10ccs.

Sound like I blew the filter or not?

I just talked to the seller of the kits and they said nope no problem the filter still did its job.
