Remember me? I've been off the board for a while but I've been surfing around a bit and notice a lot of familiar names, which is sweet...

24627 new posts since i last visited but its gotta be close to 100,000 since i last posted.

But for all of you that missed me, don't worry, I'll be around for a bit. I'm finally getting abck into the gym scene after about a 5 month break...damn that sucks...but it's life, ya know?

Well I look forward to getting back into the swing of things, helping out the best i can and stealing some knowledge back from ya'll....

Quick question to start things off...if any of you ahve taken a break this long, how long does it take for you to get you're strength back to a decent level? I've haven't taken a break longer than 2 weeks in the past 6 or 7 years...

Well, later brosefs...

Dude...welcome back! You should be feeling good in 4-8 weeks. By "good" I mean strong and not wishing you were dead from being so sore.

Sore I can deal with. Actually sore I love...but the loss in strength is whats killing me...
Yeah, I know how you feel with that one. You used to load up the bar and have no problem. Now you see people who you used to lift more than that are now lifting more than you...it sucks. Just keep the motivation and know you will get back to where you left off.

5 months is nothing...you'll be back in the swing of things in a month or so, especially at your age. I've taken 2 stints of 2 yrs off...been back at it steady for 2 yrs now and I'm stronger than ever

I will let you know, it has been almost a year off for me so far :)

Well now I don't feel quite as bad...

Now I have to go find a gym somewhere between King of Prussia and Philly, PA. Seeing as how I'll never be part of a Gold's ever again...
