Lol, Its simply the difference between a guy about to be on the most famous chalkboard in powerlifting and the rest of us.
 
Weight never dipped below 235 this week (actually sat 239 most of the time) until I had a coffee with an espresso shot in it. Whammy. Magnesium citrate just want down the hatch. Between those two, my innards will be fuggin spotless.

Already had my last meal until Friday AM. Gonna wake up, wash 1500mg dandelion root down with 32oz water, and shut that down too. I anticipate a lot of sweating tomorrow evening.
 
230 this morning. Feel pretty good. Sweating won't be that bad.
 
I wish I had some alcohol for my tub. What is it, wintergreen rubbing alcohol? Dump the whole bottle in there?

Dump a bottle or two on yourself then get in the tub with Epsom salt. It's sold on the same shelf as rubbing alcohol in the first aid section of stores. 70% isopropyl wintergreen alcohol. I saw it on some MMA weight cut site. Or maybe even a Matt/Jenae Kroc article. Open up the pores and suck out all subcutaneous water. It got me 2lbs in under 20 minutes before. I just rubbed it on my skin because I was too much of a wuss to dump the whole thing on me. Then..soak in the tub. I'm sure it's real healthy lol I did it once for my failed 198 cut.

The warning says not to rub over large areas of the water. I saw a video of a MMA fighter dumpin 3 bottles on himself lol

Brother, it's gotta be more healthy than pounding away on an airdyne in a sauna wearing a sauna suit under multiple layers of sweats! I ain't scared, and I've done worse. I had a coach who hallucinated in a sauna. He said he saw Jesus Christ.
 
So you let it add to the epsom water as you stand in it so you can soak in it also or stand in empty tub and let it drain before filling the Epsom bath?

I just dumped it in my hand and rubbed myself down and got in the full tub

Agree, that will not happen. 11 pounds of Epsom salt is plenty for me. When you put that much Epsom salt in a tub, the relaxation from it causes the bambi legs, notwithstanding the dehydration.
 
Anybody remember how to dose regular ALA? Picked some up tonight for carb control tomorrow.

No but I read something on here that 2 tbsp of vinegar (like apple cider vinegar) clears blood sugar like a low dose of insulin in human studies. Like 20% more in human studies than placebo, and timing is fairly irrelevant. Just take it a couple times in the day w your starchier meals. In addition to cinnamon, the ALA, agmatine, etc. stack her right in.

Been playing w it last 3-4 wks and I get so much hungrier when I use it so I'm inclined to believe it.

thats interesting. Do you just fill a spoon up and slam it? Is the taste that bad?
 
Duffin's recommendation for last fluid intake is 2 light beers. Screw your 32oz water!

Had a 16oz Miller lite last night lol. Alcohol was a bust. Tub was a bust. I've lost a little less than two pounds in an hour and a half. Just ****ed with the diverter valve on the tub, we're gonna try this shyt again!

After three hours of sweating, I'm at 222.5. That was all I could put myself through. In five hours I wake up for two more rounds of sweating, then it's off to the weigh in. Two hour drive, plenty of time to spit off some weight. Then we feast.

Left weighing 221.5 on my more accurate scale. Two hours of spitting with a bone dry mouth to go!

I wonder how weighing in naked is going to affect my relationship with the meet director...
 
Fifty-one minutes until weigh ins. I'll be arriving about one minute early. Bunch of registration bs then I get to step on the scale and drink my pedialyte.

Thanks everyone! That's a shame, Jim. I'm two hours out of your way. I recommend WV to anyone, it's a beautiful state.

Stepped on the scale at 9:30. 100.4 kilos. Drove 5 min to a sauna, chilled in there for a half hour, kept it very dry. Used my boat operator's license to swipe the sweat off of me so I wouldn't cool off and continued to break a sweat. Half hour in there and back to weigh ins at 10:30. 100 kilos on the money. Didn't wanna sweat this time I guess.

Drank a liter of pedialyte with a scoop of Gatorade powder in there, at a pancake breakfast at cracker barrel. Couldn't stop sweating. Ate half a jar of pickles, juice included. Not sure what I weigh now, will step on the meet scale tomorrow AM. Hoping for 241.

I take a big rip straight off the bottle since I'm only one using it. Looks like an old glass 40 honestly lol. It might make you cough til you get used to eat but I take it right before a big tasty carb meal so worth it

We went through part of WV on the way up.

It's just that were swinging from Pittsburgh directly towards Ohio so its the wrong way lol. I'm paying per mile lol.

Lol yeah, competition's always stiff in single ply bench only! I was the only one in my division.

Got 501. 490 opener was a major struggle to lock out, tried 501 and missed on my second, dialed my shirt all the way up and nuked it up to near ******* with a small struggle from there. The cut took my *******, and I had new people handing off and setting my shirt. Didn't get what I wanted, but I don't hate joining the 500 club.

The support was odd today. It was a bitch to touch, but it was also a bitch to lock out. My guess is that I didn't get a good enough return of mass into my arms/didn't catch a Tricep pump before putting the shirt on.

So many variables on a given day that it's hard to pinpoint, and there's no sense making excuses. Also no sense bitching when I hit a 22# meet PR in a lighter weight class!
