Haven't taken Creatine in 15 years... which one?!

This is for an Anavar run -- I know creatine is advised on this, but my question is- what kind of creatine is the go to these days? Mono..nitrate..ethyl ester. Jeesum there is just too much. I don't have to time to preload, need help from the board God's. Thank you-

Not CEE, studies have shown it to be less effective than monohydrate. Creatine nitrate would just provide benefits of nitrates, so if you wanted to go that route, just use creating monohydrate and a standalone nitrate source (potassium nitrate or something like that), that way you can dose the two independently how you want to. Creatine monohydrate is still just as effective as any other form, and cheap too. If your stomach handles it well, I see no real reason to go with anything more expensive really. No need to load either, it'll just take you a little longer to reach saturation.

Sweet bro, appreciate you writing that up. So just buy some cheap mono. I see they have capsules now, is it that bad on the stomach still? Do the caps help out or are they less effective?

I don't think caps should really change anything. Powder is cheaper, which is easier is up to you to determine.

Mono is the way to go - cheapest and most effective IMO.

Caps are just as effective as powder, but the powder is usually cheaper. Just make sure you're taking 3-5g. I would also recommend checking out an daily ergogenic product if you plan to buy creatine after you finish the caps. Using a product like Intramax covers your needs for creatine and also provides you with a ton of other great daily supplements that can help with performance and endurance.

Agreed with the above. Just go with 3-5g creatine monohydrate and you'll be good.

just find some plain ol monohydrate, it's still the king of creatine....find a brand you trust with a pure form of creatine and your golden

THIS!!!

I don't tolerate mono too well, can take 3 grams max at once, an it has to be completely dissolved in liquid too, else I get stomach cramps and liquid ****. Funny thing, I can tolerate almost anything, but creatine mono does this. Creatine gluconate or hcl is my choice for this reason, but If you have no problems, go with mono as it is proven to work and it's cheap.

CreMax is free with any $20 purchase right now on performax labs website.

CreMax is a blend of Mono, MCC, and Creatine Anhydrous.

Now would be a good time to try IntraMax which provides 6 grams of whey hydrolysate, plus creatine, betaine, glycerol, and electrolytes. Then the free tub of CreMax can be used on off days or cardio days.

Even if you take with food you get GI probs?

Mono and anhydrous are your best bets. Anhydrous is pretty much pure creatine. It’s like mono with the water molecules taken out.

Ergonine has 3GS anhydrous and other goodies.

We sell creatine mono, 1.2kg for around $15 from various retailers.

At 3-5g per day, that's a steal

You could just tried supplementing with 3-5lbs of sirloin steak dosed throughout the day. Best type of Creatine ever made..

For creatine, I always suggest these three options.

IntraMax
Ergonine
Finish Line

Each of them contain a full dose of creatine and you get other ergogenic aids to help with recovery, performance, and body composition.

I like HCL but my stomach is pretty sensitive to mono. HCL only requires me about 2-3g as well.

Just bought some of this a few days ago and will be giving this a shot. Most creatines I’ve tried add 5-10lb of water, half of which goes to the wrong places so I’m hoping not with this one.

This is definitely more economical than buying 1 kilo of creatine

;)

2 days into using creatine hcl at 750mg only each day. The pumps I had at the gym were miraculous, and even had back pumps that reminded me of when I used to use phs. The only other thing different in my regimen is adding 1 additional cap of my Thorne Basic Nutrients III (totaling 3 a day now). And now this morning, everything is super tight and swollen. I’ve always been a hyper-responder to creatine, but this is ridiculous. I must be missing something and must’ve changed something else...

Mono is definitely the way to go if your going straight creatine.

But honestly I'm just like you, I haven't really taken a direct creatine product (maybe off and on a bit I can't remember) really for the past 15 years or so. I use Gaspari's SizeOn intra-workout. And that has plenty in it for me.

And outside of that, I'm sure I used a few pre's that include creatine as well, but never directly take it. That feels so 1998 to me :)

What did it end up being?

I just started creatine hcl for the first tima after decades of monohydrate use. I'm liking it so far supposed to have less sides. you take a lot less of it to.
