Hank has Purple Drank from LG; BC+EAA super amino beverage i'll be consuming pre-wo.

hank, do you notice an increase in protein synthesis from the bcaa/eaa stack, or an increase in endurance at the gym?

i wouldn't say the energy/endurance i've experienced is any different than than what i get from using xtend or purple wraath.

but i will say that even though i was initially disappointed with the weak flavor system, it is actually better for me peri-workout.
it is almost like drinking water. no flavor burps or burning. i have really started liking it for those reasons.

Subbed, cant wait to see how these goodies treat you, looking foward to another great log...Russian

The only issue I take is the ratings. 5 out of 10? I mean a 5 in chicks is pretty ugly... lol

I could see not giving it a 10...but a 5?

agreed, a 5 rated woman is no prize.......although i've had my share of them in my younger yrs.

i actually need to revise my initial review. i've actually started enjoying the flavor much better recently. i think i was just expecting a much stronger flavor system initially and was surprised (like when you drink apple juice when you think it's milk). even though it is mild flavoring it is not one i think i'll get sick of.

my current flavor rating is a 8.

mixability is still a 5. i have not been able to get it to completely mix up, and it foams. i've found giving it at least 1/2 hr helps, but is inconvenient.

the ingredient profile is a 10.

total score i give is a 8.25. [i doubled the ingredient profile score because that is most important imo.]

Lol

Well, we are improving. You would give it mixability of 5 compared to Xtend? My Xtend doesn't mix well at all...ours does foam a little though, I agree.

Ah yes, 8.25 is sounding pretty fair ;) I'd say that's the Jessica Alba of BC+EAA drinks :P

since jessica alba is an 8.5 and is unnatainable by somone like me.....it's not surprising i spent most of my time with 5s.

All bcaa's dont mix good. You have to leave it in a container for 30 minutes

yeah, i know. none of them completely dissolve. but xtend seems to mix up fairly good for me.
mixability is my lowest priority in a product. it's not like it's difficult swallowing some little flakes.

had a sample of MP Assult so i mixed it in with 3 scoops of LG's BC/EAA yesterday pre-workout. the two mixed extremely well and was an excellent pre-workout combo!

had a leg torching workout!!! my legs were shaking on the way home.

5 x 5 275lb bb squats
3 x 12 leg extensions
3 x 12 leg curls
3 x 12 seated calf raises
3 x 15 one leg box step-ups
3 x 15 box jumps

I wonder who would be a 10.

had a meal about an hour pre-workout so i dosed the BC/EAA post workout today.

worked chest/back -

3 x 12, 10, 10 - 135lb, 155lb, 155lb bb rows
3 x 10,9, 8 - 60lb rack chins
3 x 8 close grip pull-up
3 x 10 120lb incline bench
3 x 9, 8, 7 185lb bb bench
3 x 10, 9, 9 50lb db flys

i felt weak today, but powered through it.

ok, long overdue final review needed here -

i've since finished my run of LG's new BC/EAA product.
thank you to all the LG reps and team for letting me run this.

i will admit that my first impression was not very positive but my opinion has changed over the course of this run.
i was using xtend watermelon prior to this so going from such a strong flavor system to this seemed weak. but after going back to finish my tup of xtend i now really miss LG's BC/EAA product.

the things i liked about BC/EAA:
- lighter flavor was easy on my stomach and left me with no flavor burps during intense workouts.
- amino profile containing both bcaa + eaas and heavily weighted on leucine makes this a superior amino product imo.
- i did not get tired of drinking this flavor like i typically do with others.

things i didn't like about BC/EAA:
- mixability was not as good as others. a lot of foam and flakes that never fully dissolve. i found that using more water and letting it sit for 1/2 helps but is inconvenient. nothing bad enough to deter me from using the product though.
- flavor system is a little weak for adding and masking other bulk powders.

revised final scorecard:

flavor rating 9

mixability 5

the ingredient profile is a 10

total score: 8.5 [i doubled the ingredient profile score because that is most important imo.]

overall this is an excellent product. i typically switch between different brands and flavors of bcaa products. i am planning on using this frequently as i feel that it has an excellent amino profile and a flavor that doesn't get old.

Awesome review hank! thanks for taking the time to do that for us, appreciate it as always :) Happy new year to you as well :)
