Looking good dad

Yep. leaning out very nicely.

Tomorrow I was scheduled for my knee surgery. Not gonna happen. Yesterday I got THE cold .
THE cold refers to the sensation someone hit you with a baseball bat over the face, with cough and snot bubbles while having the feeling the head explodes.

I need some of that stuff...lol

Get better, Gramps!

For a guy who's in such great shape, you sure break down a lot!

I wasn't sick in ages, besides being overweight and almost dead in the past.
I'm beginning to think its "Macumba". Black Magic from Bananaland. Every time I arrive at the farm I get sick. (easy now, I'm joking)
Worst thing is, my surgeon thinks I'm chicken out.

Hah!

I think there are three possible contributing factors:

1) You're getting OLD!

2) You've been pumping yourself full of all kinds of crap, lately.

3) You're stressing your body at the gym so badly, it's affecting it's ability to heal and fight infections.

Bonus possibility: Kharma! :)

I'm getting sick since I'm off of anything, LOL.

My daughter had the same symptoms a week ago, its going around at home,
its NOT age related

Damn that's horrible, hope it goes quickly.

Me too! LOL.
I easily go through 30-35 oz of coffee x day. Without that I'm a dead corpse -with it, I may be soon a dead corpse.

damned if you do...damned if you don't....gotta have my stims if I want to get things done!!!

Monday I called the surgery off. Called the doc and said:
"You are fired!"
He: ""Pardon?"
Me: "Nah, I'm joking, I got the cold."
He laughed and told me that a few other patients had already cancelled for this week due to illness.
The weather is crazy. During the day 82f -at night 46f. This can't be healthy.

That's how its been here lately. 90ish during the day and around 55 at night. Big change.

the weatherman said it feels more like fall than spring...he finally got something right..

Feeling better already, here what I did for my condition:

-Sinus rinse machine with salt water 2xday
-Golden seal root extract 1.5gr/day
-Germanium (Ge-132) 200mg/day -its mandatory for all infections IMHO
-Ginger/Grapefruit/Honey tea throughout the day
-amylase + bromelain for mucus breakdown 1gr each/day

surprised NOT to see something more 'exotic' in that lineup!!!

Sarcasm? LOL

The more weird stuff would be GE-132, I guess, called "Germainum Sesquioxide".

Here a study as an eye opener:

It's all about: GE-132 induces interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma), enhances natural killer cell activity

There is a lot more to it, especially concerning cancer -but for me it's the enhanced killer cell activity to fight infection.

lol...I didn't even get a cold this winter---and I work outside.

That is awesome! Not getting sick ever is the "holy grail" !
Thing is, I attend dozens of people a day, handling money -being exposed to all possible germs -and whatnot.
Normally I don't get sick easily -and when I do, I overcome it quickly, same this time.

I think working outside in the cold, snow and rain presents less risk of sickness than working inside in a warm space around a lot of people.

I get a stomach ache once in awhile and rarely a headache, but nothing that lasts more than a few hours or a day or two tops.

I don't know how accurate my moto 360 Sport watch is, but it says my resting heart rate is about 81.

EDIT: I just sat still for a couple of minutes and the watch said my HR was 75. But, as I'm sitting and typing this, it says 90.

I was just kidding about walking up the stairs, but I do get up to 150 on my 2 mile jogs. Also doing incline treadmill.

150 does not FEEL like my heart is racing.

Those watches and fitbits all tend to read high quite a bit. it is the sketchy contact points they have or something. There was a big deal about it a while back because some people were trying to use the calculations off of BPM to read their caloric expenditure and ended up eating too much. In general you are probably lower than that reads most of the time.

And I'll take the 2nd from the right. I strangely intrigued, do you think the carpet match the curtains?
I would take the second from the left or that sexy dark haired one on the far right. She isn't even arching her back and still has more ass than the others!
Mine is like 85. I'm high strung and probably consume too much caffeine.
Mine is typically between 55-60 in the mornings but once I have had a couple cups of coffee it sits around 75-80.
Me too! LOL.

As long as you stay hydrated there really isn't much concern at all. They have found that coffee has far more benefits than drawbacks.
80mg, pill comes like that.

Turns out, Telmisartan is like GW:

-Wiki-

Read all studies last night, it ups HDL, burns fat, ups metabolic rate, ups insulin sensitivity, lowers BP, hinders new plaque development in arteries, anti cancer too ....overall win!
Going to have to go read that and then possibly talk to my Dr about a medicine change...

Temperature change causing illness is an old wives tale. Cold causing illness as well. The reason illness increases during cold weather is that all of the people stay in the warmth inside so there is a much higher concentration of bacteria and virus indoors and that is where they get sick.

Precisely! The temperature change itself is not responsible or pro football player taking ice baths would be sick all the time. I used to go to school every morning during the winter right after my shower. My hair was still wet, so it would literally freeze and I could crack the ice on it by the time the bus got there. I should have stayed sick if there was any merit to that wives tail but I was not and there is not. The medical community has already stated it is the close quarters people keep to stay warm that increases illness during cold weather.

Raining here.... chaos total.

Lol. Swim for cardio. Anything starts trying to eat you, fight it off and call that your sprint.
Crocodiles and Piranha I just fling aside while swimming. I'm more worried about electric wires in the water, all that is normal here.

Looks a lot like several parts of Houston when it rains bad...

Man that is jacked up! looks like there will be some new used cars on the market soon!
Luckily Tulsa has fixed most of their flooding problems over the years. only have one creek in upper Tulsa county that floods now. (Most of it is farmland /nut tree farms & and one highway that gets closed).

The ran hasn't been bad at all in my neck of the DFW area. Really happy about that. Good luck HGP!

Dang it, I could spend all day reading pubmed now...just following links and asking questions.

I think we know why there are no human trials on it though....presence in the wild is suspected but not yet confirmed. If they figure out a way to patent it and preclude natural presence....suddenly we will have a new cancer med.

Still fighting with cold symptoms. I'm preparing for the gym now, with runny nose, cough and slightly ill feeling.

Used 4 pumps TD Trest as a pre-workout to fire up the lazy muscles. Let's see how that works out.

It'll be good for you
