Hairygrandpas log, fat- and older people welcome!- diet, training, cycles, healing

Have an BP monitor.
I sometimes feel when I have high BP, especially when the time for cool-off after training is extended, also a higher heart rate on the bike.
When having low BP, my limbs get cold, fast cool-down, low HR.

ok..i understand. good that you have a monitor to confirm symptoms!!! interested in how this works out...do you have high BP? if so, how high?

My BP is currently almost normal, about:125/85 at work, before my lifestyle change I got sometimes up to 200.
Iron saved my life, literally, LOL

I'm with you on this! Besides keeping my head on straight (most of the time) lifting completely changed my health profile.

nice testimonial :clap2:

Well, I had no choice. Either moving my fat butt -or be buried never seeing my kids become adults. As a perfectionist, the "moving iron thing" is turning into an obsession, with AAS and stimulants -not as healthy as well.
At least, when I die my corpse will look more appealing now, LOL.

as far as AAS and stimulants-everything in moderation, as long as you don't get carried away you should be ok. I know you do research and don't jump into things hastily!!!

family 1st!!!

Truer words have never been spoken. It irks me to no end when people blame supps for heath issues. The whole stink about DMAA and ephedra is bogus too. Irresponsible use, or blatant disregard for any previous health conditions is what'll kill you.

Talking about health benefits of lifting weights....

Injured myself today halfway through my shoulder session. Will medicate myself and take off for a few days.

Well, sh1t happens.

I really used 3 languages to express my anger of the injury, going like that:

"Fugging sh1t, verdammt nochmal, mierda verfluchte scheisse, damnit!"

You know what would be awesome . It you actually didn't even speak english . Just spanish with a german accent ;)

Seriously though wth happen hgp?

Tear in my right shoulder doing front rises. It's not the rotator cuff, thank the goddess...
Can't even bring my protein shake up to the mouth without shedding a tear of pain, damnit, scheisse verfluchte mierda!

I just hope its not too bad ! Im sure you have the peps and oils to heal that bitch quick !! Pinche puto me duele mi brazo . Das es da hounda schizer ! Do u have any menthol gel?

That's what you get with all those high calories and multiple sets. Injuries.

I actually think it was all that high rep finger waiving you did with your son yesterday. You just didn't realize you injured it until you aggravated it today. Those finger waives are known to cause serious injuries.

Seriously, sorry you got hurt my man. Hope you get better quick.

Yes, I bombed the injury with 65mg prednisone already, trying to abort progression of inflammation. Applied penetrex cream (DMSO+Arnica) too.
My BPC-157 hopefully arrives on Saturday.

Zum kotzen die Scheisse, puta carajo- fugging shoulder! ... had to swear a bit more, feeling better now, LOL

Ya'll ****ers need jesus lmfao

Good workout for the shoulder issue. :head:

Bet that will get a pump!
coming in late. you are looking great (not in a homo way)
what kind of songs or bands do you listen to when you work out?
One for the old Fuc*ers that still hit the iron!

Still killing the weights and "various compounds" I see. Interested to see how BPC157 treats you.

You asked for it! LOL

Had to bomb it with prednisone, will keep bombing for 3 days with 60mg. Yes, I'm using penetrex (DMSO + Arnica).
I decided to not ice the spot as blood flow is critical to deliver prednisone. Tomorrow I'll start trigger point therapy with my "Armaid", I figured I can reach the spot with that tool. BPC-157 has to arrive soon too.

Took some time off AM but not lifting! Glad you missed me BigT.
I missed you too, your sheiko workouts inspired me. Welcome back!

Injury update:

It's day 2 on prednisone -and the last day on it, don't wanna go into tapering down this stuff.
Yesterday I used the "Armaid" for trigger point therapy right before going to bed. Luckily, my upper arms aren't yet as big, I had to adjust the tool to the maximum open-level and got it right to the spot. When I woke up today, shoulder is better by about 50%.
Went from barely able to lift the arm at 45 degree angle to lift it almost without pain.
Will take off until Monday, repeating my treatment always before bedtime.
Since I bought this "machine" I take it with me wherever I go. It healed my tendonitis in the forearms and became my indispensable tool of choice.

Can't repeat this enough, buy the Armaid if you have calf issues, shoulder issues where it could reach the spot, tennis- or golfer elbow.

Happy you're starting to feel better......u gots ta get that pump going;)
Thank you, bro!
Changed my mind about resting until Monday. Will go Saturday and do an arms workout with abs and cardio, trying to figure out what exercises work around the injury. Hopefully I can do chin ups and pull ups, push ups too, as I feel they are the best body weight exercises to keep in form.

I know... But a good German soldier fights with one arm too! LOL
Thinking about it, the left arm was always the puzzy arm, since my right arm is out of order, I could train the weaker one.
Abs need workout too and cardio won't hurt either....and, as I'm on it.... a bit of chin ups, push ups... LOL

Injuries take so much time to heal for us old men. Take it easy brother! I know its hard to stay out of the GYM!

Getting older creates happiness. Every time I wake up I'm happy that the same joints hurt and not a new one. LOL
When I go tomorrow, I will be cautious, but I have to go. Nothing can stop me. Will not stress the injured arm, just evaluating what exercises can be done.

Yeah, when I work out I have images of HGP yelling at me to keep going. Even over the internet the guy scares the **** outta me.
