Hair loss concern with Havoc

FitModel

Active member
i'm 11 days into my havoc cycle at 20mgs a day

my first cycle of havoc was a year ago and I had terrible hair loss, however I was dosing 20/30/40/40 for almost 5 weeks

I have nizoral 2% but I don't think it does ****, so I think I might order a Minoxidil 15% w Azelaic Acid 5% solution...WILL THIS SIGNIFICANTLY HELP???

or perhaps I'll just get AA since I don't plan on applying Minoxidil the rest of my life, then it's useless (or so I read) I'm just trying not to speed up the process while on cycle...

also, if I stop my havoc cycle tomorrow...would it be advised to start PCT, I feel no shutdown, gyno or any sides yet and i'm up about 3lbs and feeling very full...however I fear hair loss will start soon and i'm paranoid now!

if I do stop, can I start P-Plex in two weeks, followed by a good PCT? (since I will have my hair loss solution by then)

Try Halodrol

Havoc its very harsh for hair if you are prone to MPB.

Nizoral alone dont't help you to stop hairloss

Nizoral + Minox 5% + AA could help

If you are concerned about hairloss but you want use PHs, keep away from Havoc and try H-Drol clone instead, HD its very mild for hair.

I'm prone to MPB too, and i used H-Drol + Nizoral + Minox + AA + Finasteride, with very good muscle gains and with absolutely NO hairloss.

If you don't use Finasteride 19Nor-based PHs + Nizoral + Minox + AA could be safe for hair too.

I purchased 10% minoxidil + 5% Azelaic Acid solution to combat any hair losses while I'm on my Epi cycle (and after). Is Finasteride HIGHLY recommended? What are the "sides" from it, if any? I think a good DHT blocker (Az. Acid) and a growth substance (Minox) would suffice....just looking for additional input tho. I'm not prone to MPB either.

One thing to keep in mind guys is that minoxidil is not meant to be used short term. Once you start using it, you have to keep using it or any hair regained/retained as a result of the minox could, and probably will, fall out in a matter of a few months.

I'm not prone to MPB either.

If you are losing hair as a result of a steroid cycle, then you probably do have genetic MPB in some capacity and should be on a consistent preventative regimen if you want to keep your hair. Or, at least prolong the inevitable.

I have run a very mild, but effective, pulse cycle of Epistane before with no negative sides - and if you're prone to MPB and want to use a fast acting oral you may want to consider that.

This is my current 'stack' that seems to work pretty well. I started losing my hair at 22, Im going to be 33 this year and still have a full head of hair - not as thick as Id like but hey, its still there:)

Hair Loss Prevention Stack

I havent been using the Retonic Acid for a while, as it seems to irritate my scalp with consistent use. IMHO the most effective products Ive tried are:

Emu Oil - reduces inflammation caused by androgen activity in the scalp. IMHO this product is a *must* when on cycle.

15% Minoxidil - This stuff could grow hair on a fence post. I apply this ED at night following the application of the Emu Oil.

LLLT (Low Level Laser Therapy) - I built my own laser brush similar to the ones you can buy Invalid Link Removed. IMHO it is indeed effective...although Im not as consistent with it as I should be, when I am using the laser brush my hair looks thicker and I lose less of it.

Finasteride - I've been taking ~.5mg of Finasteride for nearly 2 years now with no noticeable sides. My own personal theory (which is totally anecdotal) is that for some guys, they may have an elevated level of DHT and the finasteride helps keep it in check. DHT levels are still in a normal range so there is no real side effects to deal with. For others, their DHT production may be normal, but their follile cells are overly sensitive to androgenic activity. These are the poor souls who suffer sides related to low DHT - low libido, etc.
Before you decide to take finasteride read the research, talk to your doc.

Understand that Finasteride only blocks the 5AR enzyme and thus, will only be effective with hormones that convert via 5AR. It's not going to help with a product like Epistane/Havoc, 1-Test, Trenbolone, etc - hormones whose inherent androgenic activity is more likely a cause of their hair loss effect. It will lower your natural DHT levels, which could certainly help reduce the total amount of androgenic activity in the body - also keep in mind that DHT is your body's natural anti-estrogen!

Understand that Finasteride, Minoxidil, and LLLT are the ONLY FDA APPROVED methods of hair loss prevention. While as bodybuilders we don't necessarily trust the FDA - the actual research is there that proves these products are effective for many men with MPB.

Hope that helped,
BV

Hey Big, great post! Thanks for that info dood. You really have one helluva regime going on for anti-hairloss! I will look into the emu oil and the laser treatment device.

Before I start Finas. I'll talk to my Dr. as it can be quite....powerful and have sides.

Regarding the 15% minox, is that the Xandrox solution that has 5% Azel. Acid??

Yep, the 15% Xandrox. I always order right from Invalid Link Removed.

Its expensive at ~$90 a bottle - but one bottle lasts 3-4 months easily.

The condition of my hair has stayed pretty consistent - grew probably 20-30% of what I lost back after I started treating it when I was 27 and then the regrowth slowed. I think its improving slightly year to year, but the general consensus is you'll reach a point where the treatments will just maintain what you've got.

I havent cycled in a good while, but when I do I'll go mild and short. I never had a problem with hair loss running that Epi pulse (peaked at 30mg), or 1-Test/4AD and keeping doses low and the cycle to 4 weeks.

Big post!!

I use Nizoral + Minox + AA + Finasteride and my hairloss stopped!!!

I'm prone to MPB, so i must use Finasteride forever (my doctor prescribed it to me a lot of time ago, and it works well for me), and that "stack" (Nizoral+Minox+AA+Finas) has change my life: My hairloss stops!!!

The problem is that i must use Finas+Minox for live.

Hey, somethings we do for life....like workout, exercise, eat clean, etc! ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES DOOD! To put it in perspective, compared to a Diabetic and their Insulin baby-sitting, dropping 1 mL of stuff in your hair ED is a WALK IN THE PARK..especially if it gives you your hair. :)

BV suggested the Emu Oil to me, and it is a very potent anti-inflammatory. Definitely something to research.

That's what Im saying - it takes less time than brushing your teeth.

considering i'm not gonna use any of these products for LIFE (meaning constantly), cause if I have enough hair loss in the next 10 years i'm just gonna get hair transplants (provided I have the extra cash!)...

but in the mean time, would 5% AA stop ANY/MOST additional or exaggerated hairloss while on a cycle? is there any chance of rebound, once I come off my cycle and stop using the AA.
