gyno from Powerfull?

Powerfull flared gyno after 3 years of no sign.

I've been taking Powerfull for about a month and I have developed a small case of gyno in my left nipple. I am not taking anything else besides creatine and protein and as I have just added Powerfull it's pretty obvious what has caused this. I will say that I developed a small bout of gyno after an SD cycle about 3 years ago and after taking Nova I haven't had any signs of it until about last week. Anybody have similar effects? I imagine in my case it is not necessarily the root cause as I have had it before only in my left nipple, but it has definitely aggrivated it and seems to have awoken the sleeping giant..

Awesome... Discontinuing Powerfull. I researched this a lot before actually taking it and I didn't find anything about this.

Geee....

I've an alternative idea. It causes a dopamine increase - this can act directly on the HPTA by manipulating estrogens, prolactin in particular is susceptible. Gingko biloba will help reverse this (surpresses), quite alot of herbs will surpress this, or try resveratrol, perhaps an AI.

Dopamine in particularly will influence GH release via pathway no one understands (I think).

What it demonstrates is that you are particularly sensative to PowerFull via the Ldopa pathway, its causing a comparatively large shift in dopamine and will probably give you loads of energy.

Personally, I'd see PowerFull as a good supplement in this case and the gyno as something you can control via other means. In all honesty I wish PowerFull had that sort of impact on me, I'd surpress prolactin (probably herbally) and thrash around in the gym to mop up all that dopamine.

This is only the second time I've heard of gyno related to Powerfull, and in the other case the person had used prohormones before as well. I think there could be something to that.

The title of this thread is very misleading. You guys did not get gyno from using PowerFULL alone.

Ok... I haven't had any signs of it for over 3 years and once I started taking Powerfull I have gyno again. I wouldn't say that's a very misleading title.

Yes you are nitpicking. Removing one sentence from the paragraph removes any context originally applied to it. I'll say it again, read my whole post. I very clearly acknowledge that I have had gyno previously(albeit not in over 3 years) and stated that the Powerfull has definitely aggrivated it.

You might wanna change your thread title because it makes it look like powerfull alone caused your gyno even though you explain later that in fact a former cycle was to blame for your gyno. Your best bet is to stop taking it, If your symptoms don't improve get to a Dr and find out where your hormone levels are at. Explain what you took and what's going on. If something like powerful is flaring up gyno you have underlying issues. You should probably stay away from anything 'hormonal'.

My gyno flared up after a powerfull too. Hadnt used any ph's or anything for over a year and half

The title is "Gyno FROM Powerfull". In your first sentence you state that you "developed gyno" while taking Powerfull. Even though you mention the fact that you previously had gyno later on, doesn't take away from the fact that you basically stated that you "developed gyno from Powerfull" which is false.

With that, I'll bow out of this discussion.

Perhaps we can agree that the title may suggest the existence of causation, while originally intending to imply an association. PowerFULL should not trigger gynecomastia. Having had a previous case of unilateral "gyno", it would appear it was not completely resolved, and, thus acquired a residual character in your case. Even though gyno is primarily triggered by chronic estrogen dominance [in the presence of low levels of testosterone], it can also be caused by or be associated with antagonistic activity at mineralocorticoid receptors [an effect that can be induced by some potassium-sparing diuretics], 5-alpha reductase dysfunction, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, increased stimulation of lactotrophic receptors [to induce prolactin secretion], elevated levels of androstenedione [leading to higher estrone/estradiol expression], decreased estrogen clearance due to liver dysfunction, chronic kidney malfunction, testicular tumours, high circulating levels of aromatase, and so on. As it turns out, PowerFULL is known to stimulate endogenous production of testosterone and trigger greater secretion of growth hormone [via dopamine]. Increased endogenous testosterone production should reduce estrogen dominance by lowering the estrogen:testosterone ratio. Furthermore, as dopamine and its agonists directly suppress the synthesis and secretion of prolactin, PowerFULL should also help suppress the expression of prolactin, another risk factor in gynecomastia. So, given the myriad underlying potential causes of gyno, and given that PowerFULL acts to suppress some of these causes, PowerFULL itself should not be a causative agent in gynecomastia.

Powerfull did something to me, and I do not have gyno. I thought I did have gyno several years ago but had it checked by my doctor and an endo who both said it was just fat and skin from being obese for the first 20 years of my life.

Powerfull caused my nipples to become enlarged themselves and droop in a cone shape within about 3 days of using it. I was using it along with a multi-vit (didn't even have protein at the time) to help out with deeper sleep. Instead I got no deep sleep and puffy, droopy nipples. I stopped using Powerfull and my chest got less puffy over the course of a week.

I reintroduced Powerfull to my system four weeks later and had the same result: Two days of recommended dosing, puffy enlarged nipples, droopy cone shape.

I would say it is the Safed Musli because I used the previous version of Powerfull(2006) with some benefits and no boobs.

PowerFULL should also help suppress the expression of prolactin, another risk factor in gynecomastia.

I'll go with that alot of herbs will surpress prolactin. I know dopamine influences the HPTA but its precise role I wasn't certain about. If it influences it by surpressing prolactin and increasing LH then my idea was wrong.

Dopamine is weird and I know the effects of increasing it in women (not using PowerFull) can be unpredictable (it can stop their cycle, ie. behave like a contraceptive).

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has provided some insight on this issue. I still haven't decided what course I will take in fixing my little flareup isssue. Im prone to acne and i know AI's will give me very bad skin, which is pretty embarrasing at my age.

I would also like to add that this started occuring at the end of my bottle as I was taking it less regularly which suggests to me that this could be caused by a prolactin rebound as hypothesized by testosteronet. If that is the case does anybody have any reccomendations to help git rid of this damn bump i now have under my nipple?

I have a mild case of gyno CAUSED by Superdrol, so I'm in EXACTLY the same scenario as you.

I like to add PowerFull into my pct for mood enhancement and a bit of improved sleep quality.

In that realm, I have found that dosing PowerFull ONLY for sleep assistance does aggravate my previous symptoms. When I dose it regularly, let's say 3 caps per day spread out, it does NOT aggravate my symptoms.

So, my theory especially relates to your last post where you say you aren't dosing regularly. It's very possible that dopamine fluctuation without regular dosing is something that can irritate previous prolactin like symptoms... just my theory based on my own response to the supplement.

I would suggest sustain alpha instead, as the 7,8 Benzoflavone in it increases well being and mood. Has always worked great.

Conversely sustain did not help with my gyno symptoms. I do not believe it caused the symptoms in any way. At the same time, in the context of this thread, I do not believe this will help the OP in any way coming from my own experience.

There are many herbs that improve milk production of breastfeeding mothers, Safed Musli and Fenugreek are known for this, most of these herbs are also aphrodisiacs and some likely cause gyno too if taken too much for too long, google for 'lactating herbs'.
