I get a good burn with upright rows, but you got to concentrate on your traps rather than your delts.

hang cleans and super set with shrugs. I garun-freakin-tee that you will be sore as hell.
if you cant handle the superset that is fine just do them seperately
Trap-bar deadlifts!
Rope pulls to your face,... seriously!!!
good ole' DEADS. I hardly ever work my traps directly and they look better than ever. Just go heavy as **** on the deads and you will be fine...trust me
I have to agree, when you pull 500lb you should have a nice set of traps on you.
Bb Shrugs, Olympic Lifts, OH Press are usually separate for me. I like to Focus on these movements 100% and challenge the muscle appropriately. Variety is the spice of life but sometimes just being specific and consistent lends to something amazing.Am I the only one who never shrugs? I know we all develop differently but my traps are well proportioned to my body by just doing deadlifts, t bar rows and the other basic back movements.
In my opinion, I wouldn't waste time doing db shrugs, Smith machine shrugs, upright rows etc. If you want seriously thick traps, do heavy ass farmers walks and deadlifts. It's that simple.

Hang cleans for sure, and a lift we did when learning to clean in HS, we called them power shrugs (IDK if that's what they're actually called) but it's the initial explosive part of a hang clean, it allows you to use a little more weight than actually getting the bar to your shouldersI'm in favor of hang cleans for traps too assuming you know how to do them correctly. if they look like a reverse curl then you're going to miss the trap benefit. but heavy hang cleans for reps will blow your stuff up in a good way.
