Game was dope. One of the first quality fps ever made. Idk if it would stand up to the games today but I wound grab it on pure nostalgia alone
 
The best FPS of all time is my favorite game of all time. Doom is amazing, even being as dated as it is. Project Brutality, a mod of Brütal Doom, is amazingly cathartic. Guts, gore, and over the top violence makes Splatter House look like a kids game. Get the metal song mod pack for a t-booster better than any physical drugs can provide! Joking of course, or am I?

youll be busy for awhile with D- just heard that x and ps players can now play together on line. no idea what games can be used, how its done or what it costs. but glad they finally did that.

played the d beta, wasnt bad, but the multi player made no sense. fending off enemies for drops and before you know it, the people on the roof with you start killing you. if you were to kill them it made you an outsider. im sure it has changed since the launch,

been playing creed syndicate - love it

logitech g230 is what i use its great for music gaming and tv
 
Logitech is so on top of accessory electronics...

Thank god i don't play COD anymore. You don't need "roids" to experience total, utter, destructive rage. I broke atleast 3 controllers over the game. That game will make you violent.
 
I've only ever once thrown a controller, no damage done

Halo 2, parents let my cousin use the xbox while i wasn't there. Went online and dropped me out of 46 Rumble Pit first page ranking...

Logged on later and lost it lol
 
Halo 2's ranking system was brutal. You'd get up to level 40 lose a match and drop down to 20. I went from a 38ish down to a 26 from a single match.

I understand the pain, unfortunately Halo isn't itself anymore.
 
I miss Halo 1 on LAN

I had xbox connect, but host on that meant god power lol
 
Its still means that for some games. I'm sure that most console games still use peer to peer for match making.

Gears of War was super host friendly. Good luck 1v1'ing a host, GoW was a tactical shooter until people developed wall hopping techniques. Gnasher duels were glorified jousting but with massive dudes dancing around like they are having a seizure.
 
think i mentioned this before but didnt specifically ask, yahoo had an excerpt about cross gaming with ps and x- does anyone know how that is supposed to work? if Driven has destiny for x and i have for ps, can we along with other meet up as an example?
 
I was an infomatics major before I switched to criminal justice. I think the cross platforming will work as follows. Information will be sent from Xbox to PS4 and vice versa. A server will translate the incoming data accordingly to the other player's console native code. It will be similar to having an English speaker talking to a translator who converts it to German for the German Speaker in the room.

For some reason the app converted into quote/italics. Whatever.

I'm almost sure that's how it will work. How well it will work will depend on how much money Sony and Microsoft are willing to pay for it, and how well they work with the publishers. Ultimately publishers will have to set up the servers to translate, not Sony and Microsoft.

correction, how much are we willing to pay for it- there is no way this is going to be free- i have the ps + account which is sh1t at best- servers for COD and Bo are pathetic. was better when it was free
 
I think MMO's like Destiny will be able to offset the costs via microtransactions and over priced DLC. The rest may jack up the price to 75, not worth it at that point when most games now have little substance.

not for the game, i am sure both systems will charge an add fee to play with other consoles- if they think they are going to charge 75 more on top of what they charge to play on line for a year, F that-
 
I feel that Sony and Microsoft will let the publishers handle the cross platform stuff, I really do. But like you said charge an extra fee for playing with other consoles. It could go either way quite honestly. Im just waiting on another damn Elder Scrolls game, I didn't want any of that MMORPG garbadge they sold. MMORPG's are just cash cows.

There is a reason Zelda gets "captured" so easily. They just let Link pretend he's the hero while Ganondorf and Zelda live out their Dom/Sub fantasies. Zelda never once confessed love to Link, but that's only because Link loves him some Deku shrubs.

Hyrule Warriors lets you play as Ganondorf and he's fun as all get out.

Figured I'd throw this out there - I play NBA 2k16 on Xbox one regularly. We have been playing pro-am a lot and could always use an extra guy or two. I LOVE Duty but don't really like BO3 so I'm waiting for BO2 or MW to be backwards compatible on the One.

Anyone else pissed that the PS4.5 is coming out this Christmas time. I mean my PS4 is just over 2 years old, I planned on pre-ordering the VR... Now you tell me my PS4 is outdated and I have to drop 400$ more on PS4.5, they should offer half off to current PS4 owners.

Yes I know cell phones change every year, but I don't expect my gaming system to
 
I got mine a year ago, so yea kinda frustrating but they'll keep releasing games and supporting the 4
 
Visually there is little between 1080 and 4K resolutions besides further clarity. You don't have to get 4.5 as all it will do is improve hardware to support 4K resolution, plus with VR coming out I see little point. Most TVs now are 1080 so they are appealing to a niche market unfortuantely.

That's as far as I know about it.

That's the ONLY reason a 4.5 is coming and the upgrades xbox.

1080p looks like poo up close which is what vr is, think 2 little screens. 1440p minimum on the actual vr headset.

If the fps is anything below 90, get ready for puke.

I haven't had any problems with not having the gold edition.
 
Any "methodical" gamers interested in strategy games, check out Supremacy 1914. It's browser based and has a pretty slow pace to it, but it gets progressively better, nonetheless. No worries, the learning curve isn't too long, neither is the game that time consuming. I suggest joining an abundance of rounds.

They both take up hours of my life lol... I've been playing Uncharted trilogy lately though
