PS4 definitely better for gaming. I don't think it will be possible to dodge getting a PS+ account though for online use. It's completely worth it for all the free games and such that you get with it every month though. PS has tons of exclusives, but it also has some of the best indy games out there. Shadow Warrior for one. Amazing game lol

Nope ps4 is no longer free. You have to purchase ps plus to play online games.
Same price as Xbox really.
Xbox is better all around system. Integrating Windows 10 into it as well.
Ps4 is to old in the menus. Great for gaming.
Xbox is easy to use after about 3 hours of owning it. And you can do anything with it.
I own both. And an not bias, as I have owned Sony for ever. Xbox one is the first Microsoft I've purchased. And I think that the Xbox is great for any gamer that isn't "serious into it" and wants to be able to do multiple things with it.
I/e, play a game. Watch football, and listen to music at the same time. And chatting in a party if I want to.
Ps4 is pretty limited unfortunately.

Both are great systems, but if I had to buy one today, it would be Xbox.

Let me tell ya something about Windows 10 .... very unsafe, very easy to hack . Even easier than xp service pack 3. Ill stick with ps4 lol :)

They have wiped all the "extras" out of Windows 10 to make it safer.
Hands down the Xbox wins.
I'm playing the PS4 right now on my day off lol.

Lol if you lived near me id show you some of the vulnerabilities in the framework. It used to take a long time to find buffer overflows manually. Now there are programs that show you where the buffer overflow can be executed. I personally like the ram re write virus. Thats another thread though. Ps4 all the way linux penguins running wild.
 
Xbox One is definitely not a 'gaming system'. Not very fair to compare them. PS4 is definitely a true gamer's console because it focuses on just that and does a better job performing.

For all the entertainment extras, I prefer using my Apple TV with Airplay. I can control all of my media from my laptop (or phone) wirelessly.

That's a perfect description of the difference. We have all this voice commanded touch screen shyt in my house if i say something like damn i stubbed my toe these devices will google my words haha opps ... i gues iam just an old guy now.
 
Am I the only one looking forward to Star Wars Battlefront? Looking forward to the movie coming up of course but the game looks pretty sweet. Battlefield Hardline was actually the lamest battlefield I've ever played. I hope the next one goes back to its roots. Oh and for those Doom fans a Doom game for PS 4 is in the making

Haha glad u got my joke. Just try plugging directly into modem bypass router. If you do not have UPnp enabled universal plug and play on the router now would be the time to do so. Also do a network diagnostic directly from ps4 see if your NAT type network address translation is 2 or 3 . You need nat2 and upnp on
 
I had problem with 3.10.

I turned ps4 all the way off, not just sleep, then retried and worked fine.

And yes PS4 over Xbox
 
I am trying so hard to wait to pull the trigger on PS4. I've never played Uncharted, but have read great things about it. The Uncharted Edition is a great price. However, in just a few weeks, there might be some even better deals. Must, not, cave in!

I got bo3 for xbone, got it for zombies but it isn't as bad as everyone is making it seem. Plays smoothly, story is crisp and visually appealing and the jetpack deal is easy to adjust to after a few games

Challenging and tactical,
And the online play is always a good time for me too


I know this is not new and hyped atm but I would still play RB6 over the new COD...

dual-core Core i5-4210H, 16GB of DDR3L/1600, 128GB M.2 SSD, 1TB hard drive and a GeForce GTX 970m i think i burnt out my geforce gtx 970 how to swap when its hard built with no riser racks and no easy peg removal. ??????

Star wars is sci fi though, COD was originally a 'realistic' shooter than evolved into an arcade style game. Far from its roots it has gone.

A guy I work with bought the pip boy edition, and it syncs with the game lol. NZ was the first country to receive it and a few guys I know have already racked up a lot of game time lol

I'm in the same boat. I had the PS1 and PS2, then opted for an Xbox, then xbox 360, but now thinking about the ps4 after being out of gaming for 2-3 years.
