that was just too sweet bro

Anyone watch Flight of the Conchords?

Racism - Being mistaken for Australians

The best of Murray Hewitt

Hahaha flight of the conchords rules!! that nz accent... or the tongan/samoan islander accent... fkn fantastic...

Huge fan of Flight of the Concords. I love Murray. I stupidly went to watch "Australia" the other day and he was in it. I couldnt take him seriously at all.

Note - Australia is possibly the worst movie iver ever seen.

Main reason is cos Nicole Kidman is in it................and she plays an english woman!! quickest way to ruin a movie, put her in it.

Doesn't have any real story line to it.

since i havent lived in the country in a few years this bothered me.............they made everyone sound like the biggest bogans possible.

What i enjoyed about it - hearing the word Boong and drongo.

The accent thing sounding like bogans... that depends, I'll have to watch it and see for myself cause... I spent 4 months in the USA back in late 07... and I came back and I was literally jaw dropped in shock... the Qantas flight back... Melbourne customs... service station to buy ****... first few days... the aussie accent seemed so fkn ridiculous... people not pronouncing the 'r's ...everyone sounded like full aussie bloke bogans.... i thought i wouldnt get used to it... but spent a few months back home, one night i called up my american mates on the phone and their accents seemed ridiculous and thick as ****... where as after my 4months up there i was used to it and picking it up myself

for example beer ...aussies pronounce 'bee-a' but the americans do the full "be-errrr"

still do it sometimes

Believe me, it's the same flying into NZ. Excruciatingly painful until I realise that that is how I actually sound too!

Could be worse, could sound like a fkn Pom....

hahahahahahaha that NZ accent is hillarious. Sounds very pacific Islander/ maori as oppose to the typical NZ accent.

all my nz/islander mates have killer accents

"ey brew... wana pley sum rugbey brew?"

"can i av sum of ya lunch brew?"
