Flawed's Getting Freaky Fresh with Controlled Labs (Blue Up/Blue Gene Sponsored Log)

Day 13

Not much to report for today... no workouts just a day off! Went riding on my crotch rocket for a few hours. My buddy actually ended up laying his down on a twisty corner, so it sucked because we had to sit on the side of the road trying to find a truck forever

Day 14

I think I have an infection in one of my teeth, got the worst F'in toothache ever! Im hoping this doesn't affect my gym attendance... hard to life when I cant clench my teeth at all like bench press or anything

Total lb loss so far: 21 lbs!

02/24/2009 measurement at widest point: I'd be afraid to find out
03/02/2009 measurement at widest point: 42"
03/09/2009 measurement at widest point: 41 1/2" (-1/2")
03/16/2009 measurement at widest point: 41" (-1/2")
04/06/2009 measurement at widest point: 40 1/2" (-1/2")
04/20/2009 measurement at widest point: 39 1/2" (-1")

Total inch loss so far: 2 1/2"!

So some of this started before my Blue Stack but I figured i'd post it anyways cause im proud of what ive done so far and you can see where I started the blue stack and how its propelled me forward since

Well I gotta say im happy with my results thus far! Now what I need to do is make sure I stay motivated! And thats what you guys help me do! This is the best ive done in years and can actually SEE results which also keeps me motivated

I think I have done great for a little less than 2 months of consisten hardwork, could I have done better so far... Im sure I could have, my diet hasnt been completely 100 percent and Ive had a few drinks here and there, but im still heading in the right direction and im sure in the months to come I will have to fix my diet when my losses or muscle gains halt. However I am getting better about my diet already because I have to pack lunches now, so the foods are cleaner but im pretty positive im in a calorie deficit. We'll see

As you can see my measurement of my widest point was pretty steady at a 1/2 inch and my weight was slowing down about halfway through until I started my Controlled Labs Blue Up/Blue Gene stack so I am gonna have to shoot some credit that way and say that must have picked things back up because I lost an inch on my widest point and 6 lbs since I started (14 days ago)

Thanks for all the motivation guys!

Im gonna post this in my sponsored log as well

it can be done bro!!! I bet you'll get that body back rather fast with the right training, supplementation and dieting.

Day 15

Well I wasn't sure how well today was gonna go. One of my teeth is infected or something and it hurts like hell but i made it to the gym anyways!

This morning I took my blue up dose and it took me longer to leave for the gym than I thought it might so I took another dose before I left. At the gym I had no irregular heartbeat as usual (WHICH IS GOOD!) and I didn't get light headed at all.

My bench press today brutal, didn't think I'd make all my reps and there was no one there to spot me but low and behold I got them all in! WOOOO!

I've never done reverse pull ups before and after doing them today with a 25 lb weight on my stomach I can truly say I enjoy them, they were very challenging and I could feel them really working my back

Ha, GREAT MOVIE

Yeah so far im really happy with the strength... I think in my personal log im gonna go make a post about my 8 week strength gains

Day 16

So today was a little different. My tooth isn't hurting me much which is good... but anyways one of these must have my motivation up because I went to the gym with the sole intention of getting my cardio done. By the time I got there I had a bug up my a$$ and I wanted to do some deadlifts and pull ups hahaha

I just kinda messed around, wanted to feel both conventional deads and sumo deads

Im happy with the pull ups cause Im almost to the point where I should be able to do 5x5 without the assisted machine (wow that sounds so pu$$y)

Cardio was good today because I was able to go back to 30 sec sprints instead of 15...

Alright guys I posted this in my personal log as well but I figured even though this started before the beginning of the blue stack it still shows that the blue stack has aggressively helped me push through areas where I would normally plateau....

ENJOY!

8 Weeks at a Glance:

Well I'm almost done with 8 complete weeks of being back to working out... Im super impressed at my progress so far and I wanted to see what my strength has been like so far

Starting (03/02/09) and Current (04/20/09) Weights

A2G Back Squat
- 115 - 185 (+70)
BB Bench Press - 175 - 225 (+50)
Good Mornings - 95 - 145 (+50)

 I'll take it!

A2G Back Squat: Yes I started at 115,,, Why? Do you ask.... I started this low because I have never been a big squatter, and the one point that I was (2005) I was not a deep A2G Squatter and since I was starting 2 months ago and wanted good form and deep squats I decided to start low. In the beginning even 135 challenged me, my back felt like it was weak and my knees would almost always buckle in. Last time I tried to start squatting (2007) I was doing it on the smith machine and was having trouble breaking 145 so Im super impressed to see that even at 185 it doesnt seem too hard to me. I also feel like strengthening my lower back with good mornings has helped me tremendously. My knees hardly even buckle in anymore which means my squat is getting much better.

BB Bench Press: I started lower on bench pressed just to work my way up since I'd never down 5x5 before. Ive gone 235-240 on 3x5 in the past while on cycle and now I'm doing 225 on 5x5 naturally so I think I'm almost as strong as I was then... which is awesome

Good Mornings: Im also impressed at how easy these are feeling lately... every week they have felt super taxing on my body... last week I thought 135 was where I had to stop so this week I started with 135 and I was like "wtf this doesn't even feel taxing" so I upped the weight and it still didn't feel like much. I think doing these has improved my squat form tremendously

Day 17

So I've been doing some rather goofy workout ideas the last 2 days. Yesterday being that I did a bit of lifting on a cardio day and today I just went off my rocker nuts and did some crazy stuff... Ill explain what I did here first and then I will explain my feelings from today at the bottom.

So I got ballsy again today, took 2 blue up as opposed to one this morning and I gotta tell you I felt fine... so I think my body is starting to adapt to the Yohimbine... which is kind of sad cause now im not getting getting any in the afternoon... I may have to see if I can find a cheap supply to still get a little Yohimbine in the afternoon

DOSE:
Morning:2 Blue Up/5 Blue Gene

Ok for my workout today since I said it was a little different. Basically I split my workout into 6 exercises and grouped them in 2 groups. The first one being 4 exercises and the second group being 2 exercises. Then what I did was rather simple... since I've come to love supersets I decided to run today like a circuit with a "twist". I ran the first four exercises one after another with no rest in between sets and then (heres the twist) instead of starting over I took a short break and did them in reverse. So for example I did 8 reps front squat, 8 reps DB Rows, 5 reps DB Clean and Press, and 8 reps pull ups... took a few minute break and then did it backwards... Ok so I think you get the ideas. Im gonna lay them out 1 by 1 so it looks more simple... hopefully... hahaha

Wednesday - 04/22/2009

Set #1
Front Squat: 95lbs x 8 reps
DB Bent Over Rows: 50lbs x 8 reps
DB Clean and Press: 50lbs x 5 reps
Pull-Ups on assisted machine: 70lbs assistance x 8 reps

Rest 3-4 Min
Now in Reverse

Set #2
Pull-Ups on assisted machine: 70lbs assistance x 8 reps
DB Clean and Press: 45lbs x 5 reps
DB Bent Over Rows: 50lbs x 8 reps
Front Squat: 115lbs x 8 reps

Set #3
Front Squat: 115lbs x 8 reps
DB Bent Over Rows: 50lbs x 8 reps
DB Clean and Press: 45lbs x 5 reps
Pull-Ups on assisted machine: 70lbs assistance x 8 reps

Set #4
Pull-Ups on assisted machine: 65lbs assistance x 8 reps
DB Clean and Press: 40lbs x 5 reps
DB Bent Over Rows: 55lbs x 8 reps
Front Squat: 135lbs x 8 reps

Now I gotta tell ya... Usually I never really sweat during lifting at all... By the time I was done with done with about the 2nd set on this I was sweating like a pig. It wasn't too bad on set 1 and 3 but on set 2 and 4 on the reverse was brutal... I'd be so pumped by the end I would hardly be able to bend my arms to grip the bar for the front squat

Set #5
Close Grip Bench Press: 115lbs x 8 reps
Rope Pulls for Traps: 87.5lbs x 8 reps

Set #6
Rope Pulls for Traps: 87.5lbs x 8 reps
Close Grip Bench Press: 115lbs x 8 reps

Set #7
Close Grip Bench Press: 125lbs x 8 reps
Rope Pulls for Traps: 100lbs x 8 reps

Set #8
Rope Pulls for Traps: 112.5lbs x 8 reps
Close Grip Bench Press: 135lbs x 8 reps

Cardio
HIIT
2 Min Warmup
4 sets of 15sec sprint/30sec jog
5 Min Steady State Jog

Burned 190 Calories

Alright so a couple things... First off this workout was absolutely brutal and if that didn't deplete my glycogen stores before my short cardio I don't know what will! 2nd I never felt fatigued really during any of this and I think it may be from the endurance boost from the Blue Stact. and 3rd this stuff gives me the sickest pumps!

Damn! Sounds hardcore. I have been taking 2 Blue Up mornings before work, and I feel fine too. Took about 3 days of feeling like sonic the hedgehog before I could handle it like now. Feels really good imo. Keep up the hard work!

Day 18

Well I woke up this thursday morning and decided I needed a break from getting up so early and going to the gym and then work, so I just decided considering we are doing physical labor lately with landscaping I would just skip cardio and take my doses at work

Things went well! I felt stimmed and I was sweating almost as soon as I start working!

Day 20 and 21

Not a whole ton to report on these days! Took the weekend off and went to visit a friend about an hour away with my girlfriend... Had a few drinks friday night and impressively enough my weight hasnt changed (went down a little bit lol) and saturday night went to watch my buddy do his last amateur fight, he won... his record is not 7-0 and next month is his first pro fight... one hell of a way to end his amateur career!

Day 22

Well I didnt make it to the gym today as planned. Thought I was gonna have off work today due to thunderstorms but they never came! Even though I didn't get to the gym as planned Im sure I still got all day cardio! hahaha Stupid spring clean up raking all day crap!

One of the big things I noticed today was that I took 1 blue up in the morning thinking I might go to the gym after work and by like 3pm I was yawning like crazy so I took another Blue Up and 5 Blue Gene and within 30 minutes I was perky like a little school girl

Back to the gym tomorrow!

I gotta be honest, I'm gonna be sad to see this supplements go in a week :( But since Rows gave this awesome opportunity I'll definitely be running this stack again in the future!

Day 23

Not the most intense workout today but I blame that partially on being afterwork instead of before work and I am always pooped after work. I was limited on time and I wanted to pound out some serious bench work to break my plateau. I was happy with hitting 255 and really happy I was able to get 3 sets of 5 reps of chin ups without assistance... those have come A LONG WAY!

Looking good man, some nice nice upgrades.

Just wondering, how far are you from the end of your program?

Hey guys, sorry its been a few days since ive updated. Lost a friend in a car accident wednesday night and its been rough for a few days... getting ready for his viewing right now. I will update when i get home tonight!

Day 29

Alright guys sorry for the super long delay... like I said I lost a friend this last week and it was rough.. guy was only 25 years old... 2 year old daughter... going back for his masters... really had this life set... killed in a car wreck. It was really sad

Anyways I was finally starting to feel like I was plateauing so I decided to go ahead and switch up my plan. Im gonna give the Pendulum plan a run (heres a link to an article on it Invalid Link Removed )

Anyways I don't usually do same part supersets and let me tell you on this Blue Stack the pump was literally PAINFUL but felt great at the same time. I really think this program is gonna help me break past some sticking points... stay tuned! I have 2 days left on the blue stack and I will continue to log this program in my other log... Review coming at the end of the week with pictures!

Switching up the routine is always a good idea when you've done the same routine for over 2 weeks. The body will figure out a way to get the work done with the minimal amount of muscle possable. Our bodys do not want to carry excess muscle due to our ancestors going through periods of famine. More muscle = more calories burned all day long, so our bodies tend to get smart about how we lift and figure out how to complete the routine with the minimal amount of muscle possable. By switching up your routine, your sure to shock your body into growth and keep it guessing.

With that being said, how has the new routine been treating ya? see any significant gains?

I knew I would have to switch sooner or later... but my strength kept going up... probably because i was doing different rep ranges everyday but it finally plateaued and i've decided to give the Pendulum program a try which is supposed to be a mix of strength and hypertrophy. I can tell you one thing... this first week the structured hypertrophy week... I never do same part supersets really and they are brutal... the pumps are painful and im feeling something today I haven't felt in FOREVER... DOMS.... My chest is sore as hell and it feels great... my legs are gonna be sore as **** tomorrow... I just started the routine this week I will continue to update though!

deadlifts are a crazy workout for my back? do you feel them in your legs? or is there a certain technique you use?

Looking really good, excited to see the second month rolling in.

Sorry about your friend too, that sucks to hear.

Hey now that you mention it I think I did my deadlifts incorrectly yesterday... I think I was supposed to do Stiff Leg Deadlifts (isnt that another name for Romanians?) instead I did wide stance deadlifts (which would have been sumo deadlifts i think?)

Either way... regular deads destroy my back pretty good, wide stance ones target the legs more
