Fitness / Activity Trackers -- Yay or Nay? Best Product?

I've had mine for 2 months or so and have worn it playing basketball twice a week and under turnout gear for firefighting (not inside any fires, though) and to 4 flag football games and it's still going strong lol

I've noticed only two extreme opinions. Love em or hate em. I myself have a jawbone up 2 for year and a half and very satisfied with it . Seems very accurate and love the fact it graphs my sleep helps me learn a lot which night time supps work and what not

How has your charge HR been durability wise?

My girl had the surge but it got recalled so we upgraded to a charge HR. Button fell off #1 and #2 band got a blister and started coming apart so they just sent another one again.

Customer support has been great and she loves the charge hr, but maybe we just got some bad ones? Or maybe she just works out so hard they explode, lol!

When did the surge get recalled? I have had one for almost half a year now, but just recently the underside of the watch face, where the band attached with two screws, broke off somehow. I need to call for a warranty replacement

I think it was around end of Dec beginning ok January. Some people got irritations from the band or something.

To be honest their customer service has been great though!

So I ended up buying both an Atlas and a Fitbit Surge - I am super pumped to get them. Should be good!

I have an Atlas ordered as well from way back during their Kickstarter campaign.

I hope it was worth the wait.

At the very least I'll have a nice HR monitor.

Please share photos and updates when you get them :)

I've found a few more people who have the surge and it's solid, but for what I want it wasn't enough improvement over the Charge HR for me.

I got it mostly because I found it on Kijiji for 200$ which is insane. I would definitely never buy a Fitbit in store because you can easily get them 40-50-% off on Kijiji.

I got my Charge HR from Amazon for 110 shipped back in Sep.

Saw it for the same price at Kohls on Fri but with 30 in K Cash to go with it.

Saw a special a few days ago where the Fitbit Charge HR was on sale for like $95 think it was Rakuten, Amazon, or Tanga

Just doing a search on fitness trackers on this site and stumbled across this thread. I just got a Garmin 630 and love it for tracking steps and the GPS for my running activities.

Does that also come with a heart rate monitor?

Some of the new Garmin Vivo updated items looked decent. That said, I still haven't seen any reason to upgrade from where I am with the Charge HR.

Looking forward to something with longer battery life, water proof, and better capability at tracking caloric expenditure when lifting heavy lol.

But this thing works just fine at least at keeping me on my game with knowing what days I burn more or less; even if it's off, it's consistent.

Found my old Fitbit and bought a new charger online for 85 cents. Works fine for me! I just need it to track my activities, sleep, and food.

The heart rate monitor isn't built in because the 630 possesses the ability to give advanced running dynamic readings that need the chest strap to attain. Look into the garmin 235 it has wrist HR ability. I like to run a lot and use the features to help me get better
