First cycle

I am really itching to go to the other side. I’ve been training consistently for about 8 years. I just turned 28 years old. The thought has always lingered in the back of my mind probably like many of us to do a first cycle. I just always had the other part of me telling me no don’t you can achieve more natty. What made you take that step?

Aside from that if I do run a first cycle it would be a 15 week test e cycle only following with hcg and nova.

From my research it seems like everyone recommends 250mg twice a week. Is there anything wrong with dosing lower than that like 200-300 a week or would I see minimal results?

Just looking for thoughts, opinions, advice, etc.

Thanks!Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed

Nothing wrong with 200-300 once a week. That's actually where you want to start. You need to see how far you can push it before needing an A.i. besides diet is going to be the main factor in seeing results not the gear. But based on your pics you seem to have that dialed in pretty well. Other than that I like the idea of test only and going 15 weeks. @Smont @Hyde @match @BBiceps anything to add?

I think 200 is too low but 300 is a good starting point. My first injectable cycle was 150mg 2x week and I think I bumped it up at the end of that might have been on my seccond cycle. But 300 is good. I'm also a fan of longer cycles. 12 weeks minimum, 20-24 I'm cool with if health markers look good and I can't see s*** getting too far out of whack on 300 mg a week. Your nice and lean too, great starting point. I'm actually jealous, you got great leg development. It overpowers your upper body In these photos a good bit. That's a good thing in my opinion tho, much better then vice versa. It took me a few cycles to get my quads looking like that. I always look funny cuz I have huge calves and mediocre quads lol, are you a sprinter by any chance?

Good work on the upper legs, bro!

Good work on the upper legs, bro!
Got those track star quads. I had I guy I was working with last year, all he did was walking lunges, squats and sprints. No upper body or nothing, I was trying to bring up his upper to match and it was tough because his lower body was super dominant. Funny part was he didn't squat deep, lunges were always deep, sometimes he said he swapped out lunges for Bulgarian split squats. But those and the sprint training has him some sick legs

Wow.

Legs looking good for sure and great starting point like mentioned above. I'm glad you started this thread because I think there are many folks that join the forums with the exact same situation as you. This almost needs to be pinned in the anabolic section imo for an example of a first cycle layout and ideal bf% starting point.

Yeah I was doing some more research and browsing other forums/Reddit. Seems like 200 maybe more of a TRT kind of dosing to just maintain test levels. 300 doesn’t sound like a bad starting point like you said either! I guess I’m more about starting at a lower dose to see how I would respond and if I need to increase I could. Room to work with nonetheless 😂

I appreciate that! I don’t do any sort of long running or short distance running at all. I hate running! I can run though for sure but I avoid it at all cost. I have really seen a increase in leg growth this year which I’m not complaining about at all. I definitely get my leg genetics from my dad though as he has big legs too.

Do yourself a favor and avoid anything you read on Reddit LOL, and I was talking about sprinters not long distance runners, long distance runners have skinny little string bean legs but short distance sprinters usually have big quads and they kind of have that look that yours have when you see a Natty sprinter with good legs.

I know we see people say a lot start with a lower dose and see how you respond but it's not so much your response to the drugs for muscle growth we're looking for it's how you respond to side effects. Maybe at 300 mg everything's going to go nice and smooth your estrogen levels will be fine you'll feel good etc but at 500 mg you get acne, high estrogen, sensitivity, Moody ect. If you started straight at 500 you never would have known what dose is going to be good for you that you would have that normalcy where you don't need an AI or some master on or something like that to combat the estrogen. I'm just kind of rambling right now but I think you get my point. If you start at 300 mg it's going to be a solid 6 weeks anyways before you really know what's going on with the drugs.

Anytime someone tells me what's a good dose to start their first cycle I usually just say 300 mg because it seems to be enough drugs to grow on but a low enough dose to avoid all the side effects. It's the perfect get your feet wet cycle, you're not going to notice explosive gains but you really won't notice explosive gains on anything except for harsh orals and it's mostly just water weight anyway.

300 mg for somewhere between 12 and however many weeks you wanna go, somewhere around 8 to 10 weeks you should notice that your 10 to 12 pounds heavier and significantly stronger on a lot of your lifts but it'll happen so gradually for most people that they don't even realize it until they look back at the numbers it's always good to keep a log book for this reason. I mean don't get me wrong the drugs are working from the first week that you take them but a lot of people have a misconception that you take steroids and all the sudden you're going to look like a bodybuilder and it does not happen that way unless you're just one of these insane hyper responders and if you are you will notice it immediately. When you come across these guys who are hyper responders, one cycle and they look like they've been juicing for a couple of years

Haha yeah reddit is all over the place that’s for damn sure!

That makes perfect sense about the side effects and starting lower. As far as post cycle I see people say nolva and clomid. Is one better than the other? Also HCG to get the balls working again… I see some people recommend it but then a lot of times I don’t.

If you wanted the best chance at recovery possible then HCG is probably the most important part and I don't know why guys skip it in PCT all the time they just seem to think they don't need it. Some people do not lose testicular function on cycle it's very odd but it's true I'm actually one of them I've been on cycles and cruising for the last 4 years and my testicles have never shrunk not even slightly, now this part might be bro science but I feel like if you are one of those people you probably don't need HCG. The whole clomid versus Nova thing is going to really boil down to personal preference, people seem to have less side effects from Nolva, I like to tell people to combine both in lower doses than to use a higher dose of either but if you use HCG then either or should suffice. I don't know what country you're in but I have an issue with HCG coming out of the United States right now. There seems to be some kind of issue with getting HCG and it leads me to believe a lot of people are selling old or bunk HCG but I don't have anything to back that up

Definitely avoid reddit and pretty much just follow what @Smont And @Hyde say and you'll be good to go. There's a few others on here as well abd if you stick with us you'll figure out who else

Looks like you're getting some great advice, but that's no surprise, these forums are full of guys who can give you that.

Also looks like you've got the cycle planned out, and the PCT, so my advice would be to make sure you learn as much as you can about how to maintain your gains during PCT and beyond.

I'm sure you want to keep as much as you van after your cycle, so if you don't know how to do that, make sure to ask and do some research.
