First cycle help- Test or Prohormone?

Hey guys-

I'm looking for some advice on my first cycle. I'm 21, and I realize it's young to be getting into anabolics, but a group of my friends/lifting partners (same age) just ran test e/Dbol and blew up with no negative sides, so I'm looking to get a small piece of pie. I'm a 6'4 210 lb ectomorph, I've been lifting since I was 16 and my diet and training are on point. I have honestly plateaued and although I'm sure my T-levels are still high, I'm ready for a boost.

I've done my research, I know how to set up a proper cycle and PCT, get an AI, a SERM, etc. and I would definitely post my plan here for final review before I started anything.

I'm young, and I'm looking for something mild that won't mess me up in the future. I've heard great reviews of Helladrol, and word on the forums is that it has very few sides when ran properly. This is the prohormone I would go with if I went that route.

Obviously, a simple cycle of Test E or C would also be "low-risk" compared to many other cycles. So my question is this- purely from a risk and safety standpoint, would I be safer and less at risk of negative sides and future problems at my age with Helladrol or Test for my first cycle? Thoughts and recommendations? Thanks in advance!
 
Impressed you actually know what you're talking about although I agree you are too young to play this card. Trust me, I did my first PH at 24 and wish I had waiting a little longer and didn't know anywhere what you knew. (Totally wasted my first cycle with improper PCT which was none)

I'll let one of the more knowledgeable members give you advice. I'd like to talk to you out of "turning to the darkside", but if you do turn I at least can be assured you're responsible and know what you're doing. But as a fellow ectomorph I totally understand your frustration.

Some things to consider: Have you loaded creatine before? I'm not talking 5-10 grams post work out, I'm saying 25+ grams a day for 7-10 days depending on your tolerance. Very cheap and very effective, especially if you've never done it.

Is your routine mainly BB or power-based? If it's strongly one way or the other you may want to switch more to what you haven't been doing to stimulate growth. I tweaked Layne Norton's PHAT to my own areas I needed to work one, but the two power days a week was very helpful in adding some mass and density.

Normally I'd suggests some dietary changes but you sound and look like you're taking care of that.

Whatever you decide at least you aren't like 90% of the dumbasses I see across forums everywhere. You'll be fine.
 
First off, you don't know if they had any negative sides or not. If they did, they wouldn't tell you anyways. And they probly didn't get any bloodwork in the first place

2nd off, yes young. But you aren't tiny either. If you aren't afraid to go the illegal route, then go for it. Otherwise hdrol is a pretty good starting compound. Don't expect gains like test/dbol though
 
nakshe thanks for your kind words. I feel like I have a good amount of knowledge about lifting and anabolics for my age. I've been on creatine for years but I've never loaded with more than 10 grams or so. Maybe I'll try a heavier loading phase for awhile. If I did do a steroid cycle it wouldn't be for awhile as I'm in college and money is tight but I want to make sure I do it right, so I would purchase my cycle one piece at a time. OnionKnight they're my close friends so I do think they would have told me about any sides, however they didn't get blood work even though I told them many times they should have gotten pre, intra, and post-cycle blood work done. Do you think as far as sides and risk go, I should just run test instead of Hdrol for more gains or is test alone considerably worse for your body than the Hdrol? My research has been somewhat inconclusive as to how much safer Hdrol is as compared to test-only. I'm more concerned with being safe than with using the most effective product, but not to the point where I want to stay completely natural.

Also, I don't really care about the legality of it. There's just that logic that tells me the Hdrol must be more mild since it's legal. Which I realize isn't necessarily true at all.
 
Test is safer. The issue with test is sourcing legit test safely. You also won't get gains as quickly with test without an oral kicker.
 
You are going to run it whether we say you should or not so I will give you advise.

Run test. 400 mg test e for 12 weeks. Great first cycle.

PCT
Nolva
20/20/10/10/10
DAA
3g/3g/3g/3g
Reduce XT (cortisol control)
0/0/3/3/3/3

You will have good gainz. Don't expect crazy PH like quick gains, but test e gains are slower but easier to hang on to.
 
warbird01 thanks for the advice bro. Most people say "don't expect test-like gains from a PH." You're saying the exact opposite...so let me clarify- you're saying the gains from a test e cycle will be slower and more maintainable than PH gains, whereas PH gains may be greater and faster but be lost post-cycle? Also, should I run Clomid in addition to Nolva PCT? And what about an AI like Arimidex? I want to have all my bases covered.
 
Orals will give faster gains, but tend to accumulate more water and muscle glycogen than test only cycles so a lot of the mass gained will not really be muscle and is ephermal.
 
So overall, I'm getting a consensus of Test E only for first cycle > Helladrol. Should my PCT consist of Clomid and Nolva, and would Arimidex be good for an AI?
 
Test e is better IF you have a good source and you are comfortable pinning.

Either clomid or novla, and I would use aromasin, personally. 25 eod or e3d.
 
I've been told that both Clomid and Nolva for PCT would be ideal. I'm fine with spending the extra cash for both, would I get any negative side effects from running both or is it just kind of overkill? If it's just overkill but not a bad idea, I'll probably do both just to be safe.
 
You could run both but I'd split the dosage.
Like clomid at 25 and not 50
And just keep nolva at 20/20/10/10.
