Finding My Old Self with PNI’s Thermodex (sponsored)

There's that loose shoes again. Lmao

Week 2 – October 5th

Weight: 324.2 (+.4)– I’m actually OK with the gain. I’ve broken through the 330 barrier, went down a notch on my weight belt, and my pants feel looser around the waste. Next on my list, to break the 320 wall down.

Energy: Nothing to brag about. Caloric deficit is definitely taking a toll. Thank the baby Jesus, all 5 lb. 8 oz. of him that coffee exists.

Heat: There every day but I’ve gotten used to it. Much more noticeable when I start moving around, giving animated lectures, or lifting. Now that fall has set in, I’ll be able to keep myself warm all day, lol.

Appetite/Cravings: This is where Thermodex is kicking butt. Black hole is not there. The cravings are not there. There is a huge iron curtain that is controlling both. I.F. is a breeze from 7 pm till 11 am/noon. It’s been 2 weeks since I have had a gold fish craving.

Odds n Ends: Shoes still loose. Vascularity in hands and feet is much more prevalent; starting to see more in my forearms as well. Massive increase in water this week to keep the cotton/dry mouth away. I’m starting to wonder what would stack well with Thermodex. Anabeta might be fun, especially if Therm can control the increased black hole I get when using it. I see a couple of different possibilities which may have to be tried in the next year.

Day 15: Rest.

Much needed. Joints feel a creaky today.

Day 16: Rest.

Gots to get the laundry done... At least I have the house to myself for a while.

I'm solo today as well but have a serious "Honey Do" list in front of me and a yard that needs some TLC. Who says pre workouts are only for weights?? Lol

Thermodex: Little over half way through this log and enjoying things. Body finally has normalized and adjusted to Thermodex. Didn't feel warm today. No dry/cotton mouth. Still peeing like a race horse but the water intake is high and I know there is the diuretic effect going one. Didn't take my second dose until 2:45 this afternoon due to my schedule. One thing I did notice was that my focus and energy in the gym was much better than it has been the past two weeks when taking it at noon. Also, my appetite at dinner was almost nothing. Hell, I ate almost nothing but made sure I got something in me post workout.

From here on out I am going to start taking my second dose about 8 - 9 hours after instead of 6. It was actually quite pleasant to not want to eat this evening. I'm hoping that the 8 hour split will keep things even more at bay and allow for another big loss this week. Fingers crossed with how busy I am though. End of the first semester is already upon us.

Workout: Though crappy in a sense of weight I wanted to move, everything felt good. I know I keep talking about shoulders but I am a happy camper right now. No aches, pains, or creaking going on (knock on wood) and they feel stronger than before I messed them up in late July or early August. Energy was good, focus was dead on, BUT pump was totally in the toilet tonight. I cannot say that Jack3d Micro will be something I try ever again... One week in and I am starting over in search for a great pre W.O. ConDense and Prodigy are the next two on my list to try.

Odds n Ends: Intimidate and Lico will be done by Friday. I'll post up in my weekly reflection what I'll be stacking for the final week of Thermodex.

Condense and Prodigy both very solid choices. If you want insane agression/energy...Craze brings it.

Craze had me grinding my teeth when lifting. Need to be very respectful of it. Lol

Craze did absolutely nothing for me.

Elliptical Trainer:

Thermodex: Yea, I enjoyed taking the second dose about 2:45. Provided a kick start to my workout. Nice heat being generated through each set and into cardio.

Workout: Didn't feel like much but 2 PR's (in italics) set today. Everything just felt good. Minor pump. Good focus. Wish I had more time to thrash my calves. Overall I am quite pleased.

Notes: Trying to figure out how I am going to get into the gym the rest of the week. Tomorrow is usually an off day but legs/traps need to be hit. Thursday - Sunday I am super busy with work and the anniversary coming up. And the next two weeks are just as insane!

What do you mean 200 points on the cardio session?
Also you ain't to always hit around 10 reps  :)

I saw where some people did not respond to Craze. I was not one of them. How does yohimbine treat you?

My girl-friend is on thermadex and out of everything she has experienced so far (appetite control, water loss, heated up core, more energy) her fav thing about it is that she only has to take one pill a day lol

Sheet. I keep track of stuff on Fitocrappy & cut and paste for my logs to keep things easy. Seeing how I missed deleting the point values for the cardio, I guess my dirty little secret is out.

Yep. I always aim for 10. Just allows me to keep track of things in my head for my logs. When I am consciously working at new PR's my numbers will drop but even then I still aim for 10. I just don't believe in a one max rep. If you're strong and powerful, you should be able to rep that **** out... Beastmode style!

My problem is I am extremely stim tolerant. I pretty much abused OEP without a break since it was released up through the ban. And then there were all the years of ECA abuse prior to that. The past year, I have weened myself off of things so my tolerance has diminished for the better. I know this is one of the major factors in not finding a pre W.O. that has not suited my expectations. Maybe I just need to start smoking crack... Then again, the old fart at my gym was saying how in the early 70's and 80's how his buddies would add a sprinkle of coke to their oils before injecting. Now that sounds like a pre W.O. that might work, lol.

Ricky - anyone else logging Therm? Just curious on how they're adapting. The longer I am on it, the more I am liking it.

Thanks,

Colby

Day 19: Rest

Should have been legs but this week is just too hectic. Going to try and squeeze one more trip to the gym in tomorrow... Fingers crossed. Anywho, I did manage to get a ton of yard work done and made the wife happy. With the anniversary this weekend, it can only help.

As for the day off, it's a good thing. My forearms are feeling burnt. I know my left one is still strained from this past summer... Now the right one seems to be acting up. There's just no way of really giving them a day off unless I stay out of the gym. And not using the 100's will make the manager put them back into storage. I can't see that happen anytime soon.

Here's hoping for chest and bi's tomorrow.

Day 20: Forced Rest...

Just feeling worn down right now. Going to take the next couple of days off, heal up, and hope the batteries recharge.

Reflection should be up sometime Friday or Saturday.

Good :) it's important to rest and let your body recover brother

Day 21: Rest

Just super busy with work and family.

Week 3 – October 12th

Weight: 322.2 lbs. (-2) Well, yea, the shoes… But then there are my pants. Baggier around the waste this week and I mean all my pants. The good news is I have not lost any size on my thighs; it’s been in the gut which hasn’t happened in a very long time. Vascularity has increased in hands, feet, and forearms. I’m starting to see veins I haven’t seen since my early 20’s in my forearms.

Energy: Decided to take my second dose 8 to 9 hours after my first instead of 6. With that happening, I have a bit more hop to my step in the afternoons. Will continue with this until the bottle is empty…

Heat: Body has finally adjusted to the additional heat. Then again, fall has hit and we’ve dropped from the 100’s to the mid 70’s this past week. Guess I am keeping myself warm.

Appetite/Cravings: Been going great. The later dosing also has diminished my intake post workout/dinner. I cannot complain about that. Thermodex has been the best appetite/craving suppressant I can remember at the moment. I love not wanting to eat after 7 pm and still wanting to drink as much water as I can before bed.

Odds n Ends: I was going to be starting my FRL run this upcoming week but after the lack of drive and energy here the past few days I am postponing everything until I feel balanced again. I think the quick change in weather in NorCal is really messing with me. So I’ll be continuing the Intimidate/Lico stack for the foreseeable future. Disappointed? Yes, though I would rather feel 100% before an 8 week FRL run.

As for diet, I am going to switch things up to try and get the metabolism stoked in the morning to try and burn a little more off during the day. I’ll still be rolling between 2,000 to 2,500 calories, just ingesting about 400 calories in the AM that includes about 20 grams of additional protein. Basically tossing I.F. out the window since total weight loss hasn’t gotten me past 320 just yet. I like I.F. but feel like I need to try something different before my bottle runs out.

Nice man I'm glad to see it killing appetite! I'm going to replace a standard caffeine tab with a thermadex for my EC stack! That will be sick! Keep up the great work man

Day 23: Rest...

T'was a good anniversary. I need a vacation from the weekend.

Things still rolling in the right direction. Therm is still holding the black hole at bay as well as any cravings. Yes, I was bad all weekend long but didn't over eat. Just had a sampling of things I haven't had in the past three weeks.

On another note, forearms are feeling fantastic. The added rest has definitely been something they needed.

Not sure what this last week has in store for me. I know I am going to be super busy through the rest of the month so gym time is going to be challenging to get in.

Happy to hear the weekend's festivities were good. Time to relax and celebrate the important things is vital towards keeping things sane! If the gym time gets cut down just try busting out some full body routines.

Week 4 – October 19th

Weight: 321 (1.2; 11 lbs total) A loss is a loss and I will take it for as hectic as this week was with no gym time. Everything is much looser these days… Insert ‘Your Mom’ joke here. Shoes, pants, button up shirt necks, one notch off the belt. Feeling good about this past month.

Energy: As usual there is a minor boost in energy. Additional focus was really nice and stayed with me this week.

Heat: Toned down or I just got used to it. Still it was very mild.

Appetite/Cravings: I love not having cravings and being to either fast or just eat later in the day. Over eating still not an issue. Black hole is nowhere to be found.

Odds n Ends: I’ll be posting a review on the boards. I believe this is a great product to run solo or with a hardcore stim.

Final Thoughts: 5/5 just on the appetite/craving control and suppression. For me, this is what has sold me on the product. Again, I live with a black hole and can over eat at any meal if I choose to. Cravings for beer, chocolate, gold fish crackers, and anything else that folks would deem ‘binge’ food were nonexistent. PNI has given me a product that helps keep both at bay. Yes, if I really put my mind to it, I could do it myself, but there are I times I lose. With the additional help, things were in check, I broke through the 330 barrier, and now have something in my arsenal to help me continue to my goal of 275 or even 250 if I so choose. I will be using Thermodex again in the foreseeable future and I’m making it an 8 week run next time. I’ll be stealing Howwedo’s idea and replacing the C in the EC stack with Thermodex. Can’t wait for an ET run, I can see myself getting below 300 for the first time in years with that stack.

Thanks again for all that kept tabs on this log and for the additional support. Sorry this last week was nonresistant for updates. Work and family have kept me on my toes. When will November get here?

Nice job Big C!! You have taken a huge step towards your goal. Looking forward to the sequel of ET. Lol

Since I cannot add my overall review to the Reviews section yet:

The following is what I liked most about Thermodex to the least:

Appetite/Craving Control: This is where Thermodex provided the most support for me. It kept my appetite and history of over eating in check for four weeks. I found myself being able to stick to a large caloric deficit without any issues. Using an intermittent fasting routine for the first three weeks was not hard at all. It controlled the crazy black hole that lives within me that usually raised its’ ugly head around dinner. Thermodex also deadened the craving I had for the entire month. Not one time did I actually crave a beer, chocolate, or my favorite late night snack: Gold Fish Crackers!

Focus: This was what really caught me by surprise. All day long there was a slight increase in focus and if I found that I really needed to put it to good use, it was there. This really helped me the first couple of weeks as I had food on my mind the entire time due to trying to watch what I was eating. At three weeks, that food driven thought was gone and my mind continued to stay clear and on track.

Heat Generation: Being a larger than normal human, I generate enough heat by myself. Thermodex gently increase the heat within me at a slow pace. It was really nice because though I am active in the way I teach, it wasn’t an overbearing heat and did not cause me to sweat buckets. Heh, my shirts remained dry.

Energy: Thermodex’s boost here is very mild, especially if you are a stim junky or former junky. The bump was nice but was even better with a cup of coffee. If you’re looking for something with an added kick, these are not the droids you are looking for. But if you looking for something low key, that can be taken late in the afternoon and still be able to go to bed a few hours later, this is it. If you have high blood pressure, this is definitely the way to go. I speak from experience.

Diuretic Effect: There were two that I noticed after a few days. First was the frequent trips to take a leak between classes. Surprisingly this stopped at night even if I drank half a gallon of water before bed. The second is the dry/cotton mouth feeling that kicks in about a week. To keep this in check, I just upped my water intake even more. Both are not hard to deal with, just be prepared.

One last thing that I really did enjoy was how Thermodex does ramp up over several days. Each day the effects come on just a bit stronger and around the end of the first week level off. I found that my body was able to adjust and not become overwhelmed or worn down.
