Fighters With Most Heart

Rodja

Board Sponsor
Fighting by nature takes a certain degree of heart, but there are some with more than others. The top guys that I think of when it comes to heart are:
Don Frye
Big Nog
Saku
Wand
Hendo

Others to add...

I know this probably isn't quite where you were headed, but it takes a lot of heart to come back from addiction and be competitive.

I like your list though, Rodja.

Kharitonov, the guy is a straight psycho and would never give up
Takayama, doesn't care if his face gets deformed
And from K-1, Andy Hug has to be mentioned

Beating? The Chuck fight was a war, not a beating.

i agree to a point... it was a battle but chuck got the best of him... it was a fight for the record books though... toe to toe the whole fight... i guess i worded it wrong..... my bad.. but at the end of the fight chuck didnt look bad, but wandys face was tore up

Ehh, he has so much scar tissue around his brow at this point in his career that a cut is going to happen in almost every fight, kinda like Diaz and Forrest.

His fight with Hunt was a war. The only beatings on Wand were against CC and Vitor.

I'd probably replace Vitor with Henderson. Vitor just caught him and it was over quick. To me, a beating is longer. Henderson was pounding Wandy most of the 2nd fight.

Could he out-psycho Branko?

REmember his staredown with Choi Mu Bae (I think it was him)? He definitely seemed a little psycho in that one.
Damn, I doubt it. I don't think Dahmer has anything on Branko.

Sergei's staredowns are usually pretty good, if I remember correctly Choi was trying to avoid the staredown and Sergei was psychotically following his face around

#1 I think is forrest griffin. The man basically needs a beating to get going and I love that about him. I really hope he beats rampage he deserves the title more then anyone.

Big Nog has the most heat of any fighter out there. The fight with Cro Cop was a prime example. Got his ass kicked for the entire first round then pulled an armbar out of nowhere.

Truly one of the most inspirational fights I've ever seen.

wandy
henderson
le banner

but believe it or not people like sherk, that train insane bc they lack some skill and reach/height
and Franklin for getting back in the ring against A. Silva.

Big Nog is a real life Rocky.

Wandy never gives up.

Clay Guida has alot of heart too...
Not sure it's fair to put Guida in there. I think he's missing a chip in his brain that allows him to be oblivious to pain and fatigue. The other guys have to fight through it.

Sakuraba definately has the most heart imo. After all those ass whoopins from Wandy. That guy always is injured in some way when he fights. It insane but awesome. Also not to mention he worked the Gracies he faced (dont count the roided out Royce) and tapped out Rampage. Also the Ken Shamrock fight I laughed my ass off, but it was stopped early but funny as shiit. Anyway WAAAARRRR SAKU!!!!!
