Favorite Songs To Train To

Magickk

What kind of music do you listen to when you train? What are your top 5 favorite songs to listen to while you're training?

Top 5 for me:

1: Metallica - Enter Sandman
2: Deftones - My Own Summer
3: Metallica - Fade to Black
4: Tool - Lateralus
5: Metallica - Nothing Else Matters

Those are all good....I'll just list my top five albums though. :)

1. ...And justice for all. Metallica
2. Pantera- cowboys from hell
3. Pantera- far beyond driven
4. disturbed- I have a mixed cd from both albums
5. Tool- undertow

I like the heavy **** for the more explosive movements and I like the slower, more melancholy stuff for my isolations....feels like I can really concentrate on my form that way.

Used to prefer silence when lifting...things change.

1. Enter Sandman
2. Got the Life
3. Walk
4. Don't tread on me
5. Oops, I think I did it again

1. A Bid Farewell- Killswitch Engage
2. Daylight Dancer- Lacuna Coil
3. Weight of the World- Saliva
4. So Cold- Breaking Benjamin
5. God of the Mind- Disturbed

Hey a Filter fan. Personally I think their albums get better and better. Not a huge fan of Short Bus, but I love Title of Record and The Amalgamut.

"Hey man, nice shot" was about the only good song I can think of on Short Bus.

I know it might sound a bit GAY.... :icon_lol: but have you ever listened to the whole CD, bro? There's not a slow song on there and it's perfect when I'm on the stairmaster.

No problem, nate. I still promise not to tell everyone that you "Workout To The Oldies" with Richard Simmons. :trout:

I have a few songs that I save for my heaviest, allout deadlift or squat sets. Included in that list is:
Rotting Christ - Shades of Evil (I feel like I could squat a ton with this song blasting)
Morbid Angel - Where the Slime Live and God of Emptiness
Vader - Creatures of Light and Darkness
Amon Amarth - Where Death Seems to Dwell

Favorite albums when lifting include:
Rotting Christ - Sanctus Diavolos (most evil sounding album in existence)
Mors Principium Est - The Unborn (incredible melodic death metal)
Rapture - Songs for the Withering (fine doom-death release)
Devildriver - The Fury of our Makers Hand (awesome new album, more melody than previous release)
Pantera - Far Beyond Driven (Anselmo's seething performance here makes my blood boil)

I think I'm likely in the range of 1500 metal albums now (majority in mp3 form), so it's getting to be hard to pick what to throw on when lifting anymore.

holy ****! i just heard slipknot for the first time. i had no idea! im def taking it to the gym tonight for the chest work out.
